Introduction & Contents
| The following story is based on the ancient Egyptian myth of Horus. If you've never heard of it, then welcome, and I hope you enjoy a look at their mythology. If you have heard of it, then prepare for a quite different version of events.
For any who may be "sensitive" in certain areas, I'd say that this story would probably be rated PG-13--no sex, minimal swearing, some violence and bloodshed. Nothing too serious, if you ask me. Even though finished, this could still be counted as a "work in progress," and so please, forgive errors and lapses in judgement, but don't forget to point them out to me. (That's what I'm looking for, anyway.) Please remember, it's good to let me know what I've done wrong, but I'd also like to know how to improve or correct what I've done wrong, if you have any suggestions--and I'd like to know what I've done right as well. (I must've lucked out somewhere and done SOMETHING right! <:) ) Oh, and also...hard to believe, but people with a greater understanding of ancient Egypt and ancient Egyptian myth may come along and check this story out; to them, I say, please put reality on hold for a while and just read the story as a fantasy. (That's what it is, anyway.) And then if something strikes you as inaccurate, and can't be accounted for as artistic license (such as the kudus--I know the Egyptians didn't ride kudus ;) ), then please let me know. As much as I adore ancient Egypt, I'm no expert--except maybe within a ten-mile radius. Seeing as this is set in a different land, in a different time, some strange words may be used; if any are ever confused as to the meaning of these, please leave a note in the guestbook or e-mail me, let me know, and I'll clarify. Most terms can probably be figured out in context. And last but not least--if you wish to discuss anything related to this story in depth--E-MAIL ME! I can't carry on a conversation in a guestbook!
