SimEx is the next logical progression if SIM technology. Based again on Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell, SimEx is the artificial creation and implantation of memories so realistic the brain can't differentiate them from reality. Not yet possible under cyberpunk 2020 SimEx is a theoretical science on the cusp of development. It heralds a time when experiences and skills can be downloaded from the net, but also a time when minds can be altered and rewritten. In Ghost in the Shell SimEx is irreversible and can be very invasive. It allows the virtual rewriting of an entire personality for what ever needs the runner desires.

Shirow isn't the only one to mention this type of technology. Several author's whose books I've read mention mind printing technology, even movies like "Total Recall" are built on the concept.

Again for time constraints I'm unable to list more the minimal concept here, but maybe over time I'll begin detailing more uses and ideas for this technology.
