"This is your Captain speaking, 'fraid there's been a bit of a cock-up, chaps. Stuck in a bit of a jolly jovian pea-souper, damn CO2 extractor's on the blink, running a bit short of the old oxygen. So, only enough left for a week, I want stiff upper lip and pull yourselves together. Mr. Lewis is organising a breathing rota - one hour on, one hour off - should last us thirtysix days. So... okay... over and out." - Eliot Creasy

Chantal and James tell Rosie that only Timmy can prevent the safety overrides from crashing Petra.

In the common room, Sara and Herlinde tell Melody they are amazed at how she is bearing up. Piers and Rosie arrive and ask Timmy to come with them. Herlinde wonders if he is in trouble. Melody tells them to leave him alone.

Daniel talks to Victoria in the Dome. He offers her some chocolate, but she tells him that she feels sick all the time. He wonders how she can feel sick on only nine hundred calories. She leaves.

Chantal tells James that she thinks the comet's nucleus hit Io, but a drunken Eliot remains unconvinced. Rosie asks James to join Timmy, Finbow and Piers in the study lab. She tells Eliot off for being childish. He leaves Chantal in charge of Comcen.

James, Piers and Rosie watch Timmy at work on the computer. He is suspicious of their motives, but Rosie asks him to just do his best.

In the Club, Daniel hides from Eliot, who starts drinking. Talking to himself, Eliot reveals to the hidden Daniel that the CO2 extractor is damaged, and that there is only enough oxygen left for a week.

Timmy, having failed, says that he will try again with the computer, but a dissapointed James suggests that Fiona have a go. Timmy wonders what Fiona has done.

In the common room, Sara asks Eliot why they have thrown him off the bridge. He says that he is having a breather, but she tells him that they have heard otherwise. He tells her to sit tight.

Timmy tells Melody that he thinks they are trying to fit him up. Herlinde enters and tells them and Victoria that Daniel has found out about the air supply. Melody says that for once he is right.

Fiona admits to Rosie, James and Piers that she and Timmy have already been through all Petra's files. She tells them that Timmy thinks that they are trying to pin something on him, and that he can actually penetrate the system codes faster than she can.

Piers tells a gathering of students that the CO2 extractor and back-up systems were damaged and that Eliot has been forced to rest. He tells them that they will attempt to break away from the cloud when they reach Ganymede. He doesn't know what their chances are, but he tells the girls not to give up.

James and Rosie tell Timmy that they know he failed on purpose. they tell him that they want him to override Petra's overrides so they can fire the electron gun at maximum plus ten power.

The girls devise a questionnaire to ask people about their concerns and do something about morale. Sara is convinced that they are all finished. Herlinde prays that Piers can get them out of this.

Eliot is amazed when James brings Fiona and Timmy onto the bridge. Chantal orders him out. Chantal tells Fiona that they must talk them through everything, but Fiona says they can't as they will be thinking too far ahead.

Sara records a final commmunication for Bob. Victoria rushes in, but Sara does not want to know that she is feeling unwell, as she feels depressed too.

Herlinde finds Daniel drinking in the Club and tells him about Melody's survey. He makes a pass at her but she leaves, upset and disgusted.

Rosie tells Eliot that he is being silly, but he feels that he is still right and that Finbow has handed command of the ship over to a couple of kids. James enters Medicom to see how Eliot is, but he is insulting. Suddenly Petra announces a dance. Eliot and Rosie immediately leave to see what is happening in Comcen.

Chantal thinks that loose electrons from the cloud are affecting Petra. She leaves for the physics lab, telling Fiona and Timmy not to touch anything.

Petra is playing loud music throughout the ship. Daniel is overcome in the Club. Just as Herlinde is about to crack, the music suddenly stops...

Rosie and Eliot are trapped in the Comcen lift, as Petra begins to shut down systems erratically. They begin to comfort each other, but Rosie suddenly becomes annoyed.

Fiona decides that they will have to try for the gun before Petra goes completely. As Timmy activates the gun, all the doors in the ship seal and the air supply is cut. Timmy and Fiona collapse over the console...
