A TOUCH OF CLASS- Suspense Thriller

Janet Glass, and her scientist son Colin have moved from London to quiet, rural Gloucester, hoping they might enjoy a more peaceful atmosphere where Colin could concentrate on his latest project. But the old duplex is shared with an elderly village eccentric who keeps Rats in the backyard and irritates an already irritable Colin. Morose and frustrated by a project that is not going well, Colin argues with his crotchety neighbor, vents his anger on his mother Janet, and antagonizes everyone he meets. Then a mysterious package arrives. The explosion from the letter bomb injures Janet, and it's suspected that Colin has been targeted by animal rights activists for his research. Scotland Yard Inspector, Carl Perry, is not so sure. But the next message leaves no doubt that even in the quiet Gloucester village there lurks a touch of malice, mystery, murder, and maybe even a Touch of Class.

From Mars to the Earth- Suspense Thriller

It happens once or twice every million years. A comet or asteroid tears through Earth's atmosphere and smashes into the ground or ocean with enough force to destroy civilization. About 2000 large bodies that cross the orbit of Earth could hit us. On March 23, 1989, an asteroid about a half-mile wide crossed the Earth's orbit about 400,000 miles from Earth. The Earth had been in that same spot a mere six hours earlier. On January 17, 1991, an asteroid estimated to be about 30 feet wide passed within 106,000 miles of Earth. Cosmic impacts are the only known natural disaster that could be avoided entirely by the appropriate application of space technology. Imaging of near-Earth asteroids is also possible using powerful planetary RADARS supported by NASA at Goldstone, California, and ARECIBO, Puerto Rico. The only technology we have today for defense against asteroids and comets is nuclear to deflect or disrupt an asteroid or comet. This story is about an asteroid that's knocked off course when it hits Mars. It deflects and is now on a path to earth. The Asteroid is two miles across and it's lethal to Earth.




RISING WATERS- Suspense Thriller

A melting Antarctic glacier is leading to the collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet causing global sea levels to rise up to 40 feet. Radar images from satellite observations between 1992 and 1996 of Pine Island glacier in West Antarctica showed the glacier is shrinking. It's collapsing the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS). Antarctica, is almost completely covered with ice holding About 90 percent of the world's glacial ice. But scientists say this data from remote and stormy West Antarctica could be the first real evidence that these massive glaciers are now rapidly retreating. The continuing retreat of Pine Island glacier shows the WAIS disintegration. When the WAIS collapses it will push sea levels up throughout the world, with regions near sea level experiencing more flooding and faster erosion.




STAR SEED- Suspense Thriller

Studies point to space as origin of life's seeds. A new theory cast more light on how life originated on Earth, painting a picture in which space dust provided the seeds, and a warm, volcanic environment supplied the incubator. Scientists at the Anglo-Australian Observatory in New South Wales, Australia, said they had found more evidence that amino acids some of the basic building blocks of life came from space.
