When I moved into my house, I had to give up a few amenities of my apartment, but I never dreamed that I'd have to suffer through what I call a sorry excuse for cable TV. You see, TCI (Tele-Communications, Inc.) is the only cable company in my sub-division, and the competitor that has service a half-mile away won't run lines down my street. (I view this as bad business) Since they won't run lines and my homeowners association doesn't allow satellites, then I have to suffer. The only reason that I am devoting the effort to this page is because I have some free time on my hands since I have two PBS stations, three channels devoted to nothing but infomercials, and don't even get ESPN2, Comedy Central, VH1, CMT, or any other interesting channel. Actually, on December 30, my cable situation got even worse, because they took away MTV, WGN (I like to watch baseball), and the Prevue Channel (how else do I know what's on) and added The Learning Channel, Discovery's Animal Planet (which brings the total of Discovery Networks to THREE!), and Cartoon Network (not bad when it's late and you need something to watch). This made a lot of people very upset, and MTV was back on the air in a week. (I don't like MTV, so I really don't care) I am now even more devoted them to changing their wicked ways.
