This is Gabriel (Gabe) Marquet, last seen on a
beach in Manzanita, Oregon, Christmas around 4 or 5 PM, near his foster
home. He's 15 years old, about 6 feet tall, brown eyes, brown hair that
was bleached during the summer so now it's like a orangish brown mix if
you will and rather wavy... this picture is from June, so don't go by the
hair, just the face :). And don't take his expression as meaning he's not
nice, heck before he disappeared he had sent me some ICQ messages, one
just said, "I like Caramel pudding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" lol I dunno if it's
from something like Sifl and Olly but just to show you, yeah, don't go
by his expression in this picture for a personality reading! :)
It seems strange that he'd run away because he was
wearing a tank top and shorts and he didn't have like a backpack with him
when he went to the beach, not to mention that I don't remember him ever
running away before. He was last heard saying he was like going back to
the foster house in awhile...
The tank top is white and the shorts are like board
shorts.. grayish blue if my memory serves me. He was also wearing a red
Adidas baseball cap.
It's been cold and he seemed to like his foster
home. Police, the Coast Guard, and Search and Rescue have all looked for
him.

On the 28th, we posted flyers in the town his foster
home was in (Manzanita, OR) and talked to the foster family. We found out
some more about what happened before he disappeared. He was angry about
something and stalked off then, and was wearing only a tank top, baseball
cap, shorts, sneakers, and socks, and had only a discman with him. We've
also found out that a tank top that could be his was later found by the
beach. Needless to say this was NOT good news, seeing as how cold it's
been. On the 28th, Gabe finally got mentioned in the Daily Astorian although

Also on the 28th we got posters up in Manzanita.
12/30 News (Updated)... My dad found a lid to a cd player
and two batteries in the sand near this mountainlike thing that goes up
to the highway from the beach. It's the same brand of discman Gabe got
on Christmas, and like I said, the discman's the only thing Gabe had with
him.
Also, my parents (divorced) and my dad's girlfriend as
well went to Manzanita to get the police report (which they eventually
got from the Tillamook County Sheriff's Dept. but I've learned that city
hall could not release the reports without the Manzanita Police Chief's
consent, and he gave it and said the report would be free because of the
circumstances... also they would have had to wait till 2 that afternoon
because the police down there have three people, aren't 24/7, and that's
when the next police officer would come on duty. Also, the police off-duty
searched for my brother on Christmas without pay, so I'm sorry if I seemed
ungrateful to the Manzanita Police for what they have done, and what I
knew that I told you guys was misleading and incorrect, so sorry again
and thanks Manzanita Police.) The Daily A ran a front-page story on Gabe,

1/3 news... found out from the Manzanita Police Chief
that Gabe is in a nationwide database listed as missing [and also endangered
because of other factors about Gabe that I'll keep confidential sorry :)]
so in turn if a person with a name even somewhat like his to his comes
about the Manzanita Police are notified (I know that was badly worded,
if that's incorrect please inform me Manzanita Police, thanks :), and also
statewide the police have also been notified to keep a lookout for him
on their runs. So there is something being done as we speak to find him.
12/31 News... the Manzanita paper will run an article
in next Thursday's paper (it's a small paper).
1/5 News... The Tillamook (largest town by Manzanita)
Headlight-Herald published a front-page story on my brother today, thank
you Mr. Odegard. :) The article is also online, you can find it here.
1/6 News... We got the police reports from Manzanita,
including such information as the batteries found with the cd player lid
being the same brand that came with Gabe's Discman.
1/7 news... after school I learned from my mother that
my brother was found dead on the sixth on Rockaway Beach, Oregon, south of Manzanita.

Memorial Service Info in the What's Planned Next section... I think a lot of people are going to be at the service, which is wonderful and touching of course :) There's an insert going in the service bulletin, my dad wanted Gabe's picture first on the cover but settled for inside, the final inserts will be black and white, but here is the collage I made for it. And the cutout is thanks to the angel on the sides of this page :)

Gabe's memorial service is Saturday the 15th, at 10 AM, at Grace Episcopal Church, 1545 Franklin Avenue in Astoria, Oregon. If you need directions, write to me at beaviscully@wee.co.uk. Thanks to everyone who has been so kind during this
time that Gabe was missing. The support was so wonderful... of course
this is now in a way the beginning, grieving and having to make funeral
arrangements... so we can still use support :) I will keep this site
posted with information about Gabe's funeral and things like that.
