Rebecca Smart

Rebecca Smart is probably best know in Australia for her role in the Shiralee as a cute 12 year old. Rebecca also appears in an Australian thriller 'Blackrock'.
Rebecca now plays Melanie Black in Heartbreak High. Unlike the subdued, almost nerdish Melanie, Rebecca is in real life, out going and quite loud. She therefore finds playing Melanie quite difficult, especially for the reason that Melanie has minimal interest in guys, Rebecca claims to be almost the exact oppposite!
Asked to describe herself, Bec would use one word : cheeky. She loves elephants, & her German Shepheard dog. She admires other actors such as Jodie Foster, Nicole Kidman & Jacqueline McKenzie. She claims her most embarassing moment on HH was when she was gossiping about couples within the cast and didn't realise everyone could hear her as she had her headset on.
Rebecca can't stand people giving those they perceive to be weaker than them a hard time. This probably relates to her tiny stature!
Soon Melanie Black will leave our screens, but Rebecca Smart already has a host of job offers lined up.
