The Bundle

The Bundle is a very beautiful play indeed, intellectually and emotionally provoking, committed to an unwavering humanistic optimism, finely-crafted and caringly performed. The director, Howard Davies, and his cast have together found the right style for playing the selective naturalism of Bond's language, and the precision of his stage pictures. Bob Peck as the Ferryman, Paul Moriarty as Tiger, the fiercely monosyllabic bandit, and Patrick Stewart as Basho perform with just the right humorous strength and emotional clarity.
