Mission Genesis -- Actor/Actress Bios -- Kelli Taylor (Gret)

Born in Toronto, Taylor launched her acting career with the co-starring role of Mary in the television series Catwalk. The show, which followed the adventures of a group of teenagers that formed a musical group and co-starred her Mission Genesis castmate Nicole deBoer, was telecast in the United States on MTV and syndicated in other markets. On the show, Taylor, an accomplished singer, was able to showcase her soprano voice.

During the series' hiatus, Taylor took advantage of the break by appearing in her first feature film, a horror movie called The Club. In it, she explains, "I got to wear these cool prosthetics. In one part, I had to wear a 'Klingon'-type forehead and have a plaster cast of my back with balloons inserted that created wild special effects!"

Following the second season of Catwalk, Taylor moved to the U.S. and tested for the popular ABC-TV daytime drama, All My Children. Cast as a policewoman, coincidentally named Taylor, she played a character that would stop at nothing to win over a man who was destined to be with another woman. Taylor, the actress, was in the front-burner storyline with Keith Hamilton Cobb and Sydney Penny.

Although she may have gotten her creative side from her father, an interior designer, Taylor is the first member of her family to pursue an acting career.
