Then, the REAL Roman came to town and Roman2 found out he was really Forrest Alamain. Forrest took the name John Black. Roman and Marlena reunited and John moved on with his life.
In 1993, John and Marlena had an affair, which resulted with baby Belle (named after Isabella Toscono, John's wife who died of cancer and who is Brady's mother). Roman found out about J&M's affair and he left Marlena
By this time, John was involved with Kristen Blake, Stefano DiMera's adopted daughter. Kristen was married to Tony DiMera. Tony became jealous and framed John for his murder when he actually committed suicide. Marlena stood with John every step of the way while Kristen turned on John. Right before John was to be executed, he was vindicated and freed.
Kristen realized she was wrong about John and she pleaded for his forgiveness. Of course, John forgave her. Kristen soon found a letter John had written to Marlena before he was supposed to be executed. It talked about his feelings for Marlena. Kristen later lost her baby in Paris. She lied about it and Stefano hired Susan Banks (A wacky, Elvis-Lovin' freak) to impersonate Kristen. J&M got news that Roman had died.
Marlena found out about Kristen's lies and went to tell John but Kristen got to her first. She locked Marlena up in a secret room in the cellar of her and John's house. Susan locked Kristen up in the room with Marlena. Susan didn't let Marlena out because she discovered she was falling for John.
On the day of "Kristen" and John's wedding, Laura came to confront Kristen. She saw Susan (who was impersonating Kristin trying to marry John) and shook her. Susan's false teeth came flying out and landed in Vivian's drink. John rescued Marlnea and they FINALLY reunited. This was in 1997.
On the day of J&M's wedding, Kristen pranced into the church wearing this bright red thing that made her stand out. She had a not-so-dead Roman. She had lied to Roman and told him SHE and John were married and Marlena was by herself. So, J&M had to go along with Kristin's lies.
Now, Roman knows the truth and there is nothing in the way of J&M getting married, or is there?? John's past has been bothering him and Hope is now Gina. "Gina" has her mind made up that she wants to get rid of Marlena and get John back. John and Gina were more than friends. J&M are married now. FINALLY! And Gina is dead! But there is a possibility that John is the father of the child Hope is carrying. Is the father John or Stefano?? We'll have to watch and find out!.
