The 1980's Sammy Terry Show Opening

(read by "Ghost Girl")
"In the dead of night, when the moon is high, and the ill winds blow, and the banshees cry, and the moonlight casts an unearthly glow. . .arise my love, with tales of woe!" (213 KB)

As the for the visuals that went along with this reading, they usually went something like this (description of opening from which the WAV file was taken): Fade in on a hand holding a skull with a candle atop it, "double exposed" over images of funny ghosts. The double exposure effect fades out and the camera pulls back on the skull to show it is being held by the ghost girl (she is still--the words are heard as a voice over). Brief "double exposure" over this of a tree and crescent moon, which fades out as the camera continues to dolly back, the ghost girl's image dwindling in size. As her voice over ends she turns and exits and the shot quickly switches to the large brass ring on the lid of Sammy's coffin. The coffin opens and he indeed does arise, letting forth with his famous laugh. . .
