Katherine Kelly Lang has portrayed Brooke Logan Forrester on the TV Show The Bold & The Beautiful for more than 11 years. In spring of 1997 when Katherine gave birth to her daughter Zoe Katrina D'Andrea, many fans were concerned that the recast with Sandra Ferguson (former ANOTHER WORLD) would be a permanent one but we were fortunately proven wrong on June 25:th 97 when Katherine returned to the show and slipped into the role she has done so well for the last decade - Brooke Logan Forrester.

Biography.

Katherine is one of the few original cast members, originating the role of Brooke Logan. Brooke's life on the show has been a roller coaster of unrequited love. Once married to Eric Forrester and mother to his child, Brooke found herself pregnant with either Ridge's or Eric's baby. A tampered paternity test led everyone to believe that the child was Ridge's. Brooke has emerged as the show's quintessential heroine, always in turmoil and forever chasing after her true love, Ridge Forrester.

Katherine is one of three children in a show business family. Her parents are Keith Wegeman, and Olympic long-jump skier who went on to play television's "Jolly Green Giant", and Judith Lang, a film, television and commercial actress. Her grandfather was Charles Lang, a famed motion picture cinematographer.

Katherine graduated from Beverly Hills High School. Although she has taken a few drama classes, fate for the most part guided her into acting. She was on the set of "Skate Town USA" when producers cast her as the lead's girlfriend. She was soon doing guest spots on HAPPY DAYS, MASQUERADE, MAGNUM P.I. and several LAST PRECINCT shows. She also apppeared in the Showtime mini-series "Training Camp....First and Ten".

Her first taste of daytime came when she played Gretchen on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. She was also seen in DISCOVERY BAY and starred in "The Nightstalker", a horror film. Katherine was featured in the Disney film, "Mr. Boogedy", and in all of the Beach Boys music videos. Katherine has also completed work on the feature film "Til the End Of Night".

Katherine loves sports and the outdoors and plays tennis, goes wind surfing, mountain bike riding and horseback riding--she owns several horses. She also jogs, takes dance classes (ballet and jazz) and studie voice. Katherine also pursues international modeling and commercial assignments throughout Europe.

Katherine received a nomination in 1990 for "Outstanding Heroine" for the Soap Opera Digest Awards and has received two consecutive "M.V.P. Awards", given annually by Soap Opera Update Magazine.
