About The Series
The mini-series: Synopses and cast listThe 22-part weekly series: Episode Guide
The conclusion: A cliff-hanger episode concluded the first series, with the intention that it would be resolved during the planned 2nd season to be made the following year. Filming was completed before the series went to air, and it was presumed the go-ahead would be given for a 2nd season. When this did not eventuate, several cast members were called back to shoot additional scenes, which were added to the end of the final episode for syndication purposes, giving the series a proper conclusion.
