History : Isla is best known in Australia as an actress, with appearances on the soap's Home and Away, Paradise Beach, and Perth's Bay City, also had a small part in a show called Clowning Around.
First Appearance : She first appeared on Home and Away on September 12, 1994

First career ideas : Isla first wanted to be an actor when she was 4 years of age. She saw an old Elvis movie and knew that she wanted to be an actress. By the time Isla started school the acting bug was still biting, but her parent's encouraged her to concentrate on her studies. But Isla was more determined than ever, and by this time she was 11 and had found herself an agent! Her first acting jobs were TV commercials, then she received her first role in the children's television mini-series "Bay City" When she was 17 Isla moved to the Gold Coast to take a role on Paradise Beach. When that soap came to an end, Isla moved to Sydney to play the role of "Shannon Reed" on Home and Away.
Career Recognition :1996 TV Week Silver Logie nominee, Logie Award for most popular new talent nominee (1995) . Now: She is currently in England having a rest and doing a little partying until October when she moves to Paris to attend a a theater school for 2 years.
LINGERIE MODELLING : Isla has made quite an impact in the UK press after two appearances in the men's lifestyle magazine FHM, firstly in a selection of lingerie including a red satin set (see right) , then catching attention on the cover of another issue in white bra and panties with ex-Neighbours actress Emma Harrison. Isla is the first woman to model underwear on the front of FHM magazine on two issues within one calendar year.
After leaving the soap in mid 1997, the actress came to the United Kingdom to follow the traditional lucrative route that Australian soap stars had followed before her; the exploiting of British fascination with 'exotic' stars from Oz who were seen as comparatively normal in their native land. She has divided her time between the media circuit in the Uk (including theatre, lingerie modelling and TV work) and attending drama school in Paris.
