The Logans have guests from overseas who have come to see if they would like to consider breeding their horses with Clay's horse Gauntlet. Clay trains Gauntlet in his own style, disregarding tradational techniques for the race. There is some tension when Ned and Clay dissagree on his approach, but Clay sticks to his decision. The Logans have a "barbacue" of sorts to show off Gauntlet before the race. Lexy brags of her fathers famous chicken sauce, and of how everyone wants to know the secret ingredient. Jeremy and Alice share a passionate kiss after Jeremy averts a disaster with the famous Logan chicken. The visiting Spanish suitor has an eye for Alice, and he asks to call on her. She hesitantly agrees, and is sincerely confused. When the suitor, Eduardo, returns, he plans to teach Alice to fence. Ned takes the opportunity to "test the teacher" before he lets him teach Alice. Ned wins, but concludes that Eduardo is worthy. Jeremy shows up, and challenges Eduardo. He plays dirty and wins, but has made a fool of himself and embarassed the Logans. Later he and Alice talk, she is angry that he won't tell her how he feels, and he still can't bring himself to say it. She agrees to let the suitor escort her to the race. Meanwhile John Turner tries to rig the race, and Ned fights back. Turner convinces one of the foreigners to help him throw the race. The forigner,an Englishman, offers to buy Gauntlet from the Logans to fix the race for the purpose of gambling. Ned throws him off his property, but he later returns and threatens to hurt Gauntlet. The Logans have a 24 hour barn watch over their prize horse. Clay confides his doubts in his training techniques to Isaac. Sean confronts Jeremy about the kiss he walked into between Alice and Jeremy. Jeremy turns the conversation to Sean and Marita, and they agree that things are complicated. The race goes well, and Clay wins. Eduardo makes Alice admit her feeling for Jeremy. Alice and Jeremy make up and share a kiss. Where will this go? We don't know, we have to watch and see! |
