Leung Kar Yan

Also known as Beardy. Is one of my personal faves and though he has never trained martial arts he can do it all (almost) and has a distinctive way of fighting using lots of forearm moves and seems to like doing bong sau (wing arm technique). He started his film career by writing to Shaw Bros. asking for an audition for director Chang Cheh, and was given the role of a villain with Iron body skills in "Shaolin Martial Arts". His big break came when Samo Hung cast him as master Leung Tsan (the famous master who was known as "Kung Fu King of Wing Chun") in "Warriors Two" which was a hit. Although, Leung's Wing Chun wasn't excellent, his acting was very good.
Then came the TVB series Condor Heroes where Beardy made a name for himself.
I almost didn't recognize him in "Last Hero of China" where he played Wong Fei Hong's (played by Jet Li) student and had shaved of his beard.
Leungs own favorite star is the great Bruce Lee whom he never had the chance to meet.
One of my favorite Leung flick is "The Victim" where he goes wild and leaves nothing behind him showing all the skills he possesses, I even dare to say that his skills matched the ones of Samo.
