Julianna Margulies


Julianna Margulies was born on June 8 1966 in Spring Valley, New York. Her parents divorced when she was young and her mother, a former dancer with the American Ballet Theatre, moved the family to Paris and then to London. Her father was the ad executive who wrote the Alka Seltzer "Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz" jingle.

As a perfectionist in highschool, Julianna once threw a 50 page, illustrated research report in the mud because it got an A minus. Julianna's debut film was "Out For Justice" with Steven Segal in 1991. In 1995 she one the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama.
