She has been at Sydney's cabin for a while. Though she was not always alone. Jarod has been several times to check on her. Sydney has been there and called too. Since he could not leave the Centre for long period of time. And Broots, of course, missed her sarcasm.
She is thinking it won't be long until she has this baby. She is ready for it to be over. Jarod calls to see if she is okay. "I will be there early in the morning." he tells his wife.
"I'll be waiting for you." she said softly.
By the time Jarod arrives, she starts having contractions. "It is about time you showed up." she says nastily as another contraction came on.
"I got here as fast as I could. Why, whats wrong?" Jarod asked concerned.
"I'm having a baby!" she replied as she walked the floor.
"What? now." he replied happily.
"Yes, I am having contractions." she replied as she took a deep breath, she wasn't as happy as he was.
"Okay, I am here now and I will help you. Have you called Sydney or the doctor?" Jarod asked her trying to keep her mind off of the contractions.
"Yes, they will be here soon." she replied back.
As the contractions get closer she begins to get restless. Jarod starts to rub her back and she responds, "Don't touch me! Thats how I got in this mess!"
"Okay, listen to me. I am going to help you get your mind off of these contractions. Remember the time you had me trapped in Florida or what about Vegas. And don't forget about the bank. We spent a lot of time together in that bank." he replied as they walked around. He thought if he kept her going and talking she wouldn't focus on the contractions as much.
"Come on. Let's breath. Find a focal point and concentrate. You can get through this." Jarod said to her.
"Concentrate. You want me to concentrate. You can have this baby." she replied back to him through gritted teeth. "What do you know about having a baby anyway?"
"I was a doctor once, you know." replied back to her.
"Listen, Jarod I have to tell you something." Parker replied while gritting her teeth as another contraction goes by.
"It can wait." he responded back to her.
"No, it can't. I think you should know this." she replied back.
"What is it?" he responded as he looked into her blue eyes.
She starts to tell him when Sydney, Broots, and Dr. Jackson pull up. "You better go before they see you. It can wait." she replied to Jarod as she tried to get him out of the cabin before anyone saw him.
"Okay, but do me a favor? Do you see that tree? I will be standing by that tree. I am not going anywhere. I am staying right out there." he replied to Parker as she pushed him out the door.
"Okay, get out there." she yelled out the door.
He reached over and gave her a kiss on the forehead before she shut the door. Sydney and Broots bring in Dr. Jackson.
She says to him as they walk in the door, "I am glad to see you. I feel like I have to push. This baby is coming now!"
"Okay, Miss Parker. Let's get you settled in the bedroom." replied the doctor.
Broots turns to Sydney and says, "I can't go in there. You better go, Syd. I will stay out here and pace the floor."
"Okay, Broots." Sydney replies as he helps Parker into the bedroom.
Dr. Jackson says, "You can push now."
With the beads of sweat rolling down her face and Sydney holding her hand, she pushes.
"We are almost there Miss Parker." replied the doctor.
She looks out the window and sees Jarod standing by the tree. She whispers, "Jarod."
"One more push and you have it." replied Dr. Jackson.
She gives it one more push and hears crying.
"It's a girl." replied Dr. Jackson. "You have a daughter."
He hands the baby to Miss Parker and she is relieved that it is all over. Parker looks at her daughter and wishes Jarod and her mother could be there. She counts her tiny fingers and toes, ten of each.
Sydney takes the baby and he and Dr. Jackson go into the other room where Broots is. Parker puts her wedding ring in her hand and holds it tight. "I love you, Jarod." she says softly. Then, she falls asleep after an exhausting day.
Broots says, "Let me see her."
Sydney hands the baby to Broots and he is playing with her.
Dr. Jackson tells Sydney, "They are both doing fine. She should rest a few days before returning home."
"Thanks Doc." Sydney replied.
"I'll take you home. Sydney, I will see you tomorrow." Broots replied as he handed the baby back to Sydney.
Jarod watches them drive away. He slips back into the cabin. He goes over to the crib and picks up his daughter. He is playing and talking to her when Sydney walks in. "Jarod." Sydney replied. "What are you doing here?"
"Hey, Sydney. What did she have?" Jarod asked. "A girl." he responded. "Let's go into the other room."
Jarod sits on the couch playing with his daughter when Parker wakes up. She hears Jarod and Sydney talking. She goes into the other room.
"Jarod." she replied to him.
"Oh, good. You're awake. She's beautiful. She has your blue eyes and her hair is so black." replied Jarod as they walk back into the bedroom.
"Jarod, I have to tell you something." Parker replied to Jarod as she watched him playing with his daughter.
"What is it?" he asked as he cooed to the baby.
"She is your daughter." Parker replied. "I am sorry that I lied to you. Will you forgive me?"
"I already knew. I just figured you wanted to protect her." he said with a smile. "What are going to name her, Mrs. Russell?"
Smiling at him, Parker replied, "I haven't heard that in a while. I don't know. I didn't want to name her without asking you first. What do you suggest?"
"If you don't mind, why don't we name her Catherine Parker Russell?" replied Jarod with a smile.
"That sounds good to me. Catherine it is." Parker replied.
Sydney over hears the conversation and says, "You're married! She is your baby? Why didn't you tell me and when did this happen?" he asks shocked.
"We have been married about five months now. We didn't want anyone to know. I am sorry that we kept it from you. I know we could have trusted you but we didn't want to take any chances. Will you please forgive us?" Jarod replied to Sydney.
Turning back to his wife, he said, "Why don't you get some rest? I will watch Catherine."
"Okay, but don't leave. Stay here with me." she responded.
Sydney goes back to the other room to get some sleep and Jarod lays Catherine down in her crib. He lays besides his wife. She puts her head on his chest and runs her fingers over his stomach. "Jarod, I am scared." she replied to him.
"Why," he answers.
"I don't know anything about being a mother, especially how to be a good one." she replied to him.
"Everything is going to be fine. You are going to make a good mother." he responded to her. He kisses her on the top of her head and says, "I love you. Thank you for giving me a beautiful daughter." She falls a sleeps. Then, he reaches over and turns on the radio. He hears Steven Tyler's voice singing...
Don't wanna close my eyes don't wanna fall asleep 'coz I'd miss you baby And I don't wanna miss a thing 'coz even when I dream of you the sweetest dream would never do I'd still miss you baby and I don't wanna miss a thing
Laying close to you feeling your heart beating and I'm wondering what you're dreaming wondering if it's me you're seeing then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together I just want to stay with you in this moment forever Forever and ever
Don't wanna close my eyes don't wanna fall asleep 'coz I'd miss you baby And I don't wanna miss a thing 'coz even when I dream of you the sweetest dream would never do I'd still miss you baby and I don't wanna miss a thing
I don't wanna miss one smile I don't wanna miss one kiss I just wanna be with you right here with you just like this I just wanna hold you close feel your heart so close to mine and just stay here in this moment for the rest of time Baby, baby
Don't wanna close my eyes don't wanna fall asleep 'coz I'd miss you baby And I don't wanna miss a thing 'coz even when I dream of you the sweetest dream would never do I'd miss you baby and I don't want to miss a thing
As he lays there listening to the song as it goes off. He says, "That's true. I don't want to miss a thing." Then, he fell asleep in her arms.

They spent a few days together before she returned home.
"Will you go home with me?" she asked him softly.
"Yes, I'll go home with you, but I'll have to meet you later." he said lovingly.
"I am tired of hiding you." replied Parker with a laugh.
"Me too, but it won't be long until we are a normal family." Jarod said hopefully.
**********
They return home and the next day he leaves but he plans to return later. She calls her father.
"Daddy, can you come by? I have something to tell you and I don't want to discuss it over the phone." she asked her father.
"I can be there in an hour." he replied to his little girl.
"Okay, I will be looking for you." she replied back as she hangs up the phone.
An hour past by and Mr. Parker drives up. "I missed you, Angel. Where have you been?" he asked her as he walks in the house.
"Daddy, don't be mad but I couldn't tell you. You have a granddaughter." she responded to her father.
"Well, can I see her?" he asks shocked by the news.
"Yes, daddy you can visit her anytime but I don't want you to hurt her like you did me. I can't trust you any more." Parker replied to him hatefully. Then, she handed him Catherine.
"I don't understand, Angel." Mr. Parker replied.
"Daddy, I know everything. I know about the lies. I just can't trust you anymore and I have to protect my daughter just like you thought you were protecting me, but weren't." she replied to him. "I am sorry that it has to be that way, but you being a parent should respect my wishes."
Changing the subject he says, "She is beautiful. What is her name?"
"Catherine" she responded.
"I should have known." He replied. "Who is the father?" he asked her as he handed Catherine back to her.
"I can't tell you daddy. You must trust me for a change." she responded back to him.
"Well, Angel I have to leave. Thank you for letting me see my granddaughter. I do hope you change your mind." he said to her as he goes for the door.
"We will see daddy. You have to prove to me that you have changed before I can do that." she tells him as he walks out.

Later in the afternoon, she has to visit someone before Jarod returns home. She has some flowers in one hand and Catherine in the other. She walks up to her mother's grave and lays down the flowers.
"Mom, I promised I would be back. I wanted you to meet Catherine, your granddaughter. I wish you were here to hold her. She favors you. Jarod and I got married and are doing well. You would be so happy for us. We can't be together, at least, not until Raines leaves. But we still see lot of each other. I am sorry I have to leave. Jarod is waiting at home. I will be back from time to time."
Then, she turns and walks away.
**********
A few years later, Parker comes home to Jarod.
"Jarod, they found Raines dead. He was laying in an ally. He was cut up with a razor. Blood was everywhere. They think it was one of his formal students. We can be together now that he is gone. I can quit chasing you. Most important, we can be a family." she told him with happiness in her voice.
"Wait, what about your father? You know I want us to be a normal family more than anything." Jarod responded to his wife.
"I guess you are right. I just want Catherine to be able to be with her father all the time." she replied to Jarod.
"It won't be much longer." he answered. "Have I told you how much I love you?" he responded with a grin.
"No, I don't believe you have." she answered him with a kiss.
"Well, let me show you." he said while turning off the lights.
**********
A year later, Parker wakes up to the phone ringing. "What" she answered.
"Is this Miss Parker?" the voice on the other end asked.
"Yes, who is this?" she responded.
"I am a nurse at the Memorial hospital. Your father has been in an accident and is asking for you. You may want to get down here. I don't know how much longer he is going to make it." the nurse replied.
She drives down to the hospital and rushes to his side. "Daddy, what happen?" she asked.
"Angel, I am glad you came. I am not going to make it. I am sorry for everything." he responded with a weak voice.
"Daddy, don't talk. I have something to tell you. The hunt for Jarod is over. He is my husband and the father of Catherine. We have been married for five years now. I am sorry that I couldn't tell you." she replied with a tear falling down her check.
"Well, I knew you would catch him somehow. Just remember that I love you." he said with his last breath.
Sitting by his bed crying, she said, "I love you too." Then, she lets go of his hand and gets up to walk out. She returns home to Jarod. He tries to calm her, "Everything will be okay." he whispers softly.
**********
A few days later, she walks in the Centre and calls a board meeting. Sitting at the head of the table she looks at everyone.
"There are going to be some changes around here. First, the hunt for Jarod is over. He is my husband and he and I are going to make the Centre what it was going to be not what it has become. If any of you have any problems with that you are free to leave. If not, you are welcome to stay. The Centre is here to help children not harm them. Any questions, if not this meeting is adjourned." She gets up from her chair and walks out.
**********
As time goes by, they repeat their wedding vows in front of friends and they add a son, Sydney, to their family. A few days later, Sydney comes by to visit them.
"Parker, I can't stay long. I have come to say good-bye. I don't have much time left and I want to spend it at the cabin. I want to die where its peaceful. I am happy to see you and Jarod turn the Centre around. Your mother would be so proud of you." Sydney replied.
"Let us go with you, Syd. I don't want you to die alone. You have been so good to us and I want to be there with you." Parker replied to him. They stay at the cabin with Sydney until his last breath. Parker can't believe he is gone. She is going to miss her best friend. They bury him beside his brother, Jacob. Jarod puts his arm around his wife and they walk way.
*********
As time passes them by, Jarod and Parker watch their children and grandchildren grow up. They visit the cabin from time to time to get away from everything. They watch each other grow old gracefully and finish their lives living day by day happily everafter.
