Here with You
(At the School of the Cross we would have morning prayer together, and during one such morning, while we were praying at Cottage Grove Chruch, I was outside walking around ina bad mood. Praise God that he came and help me that day at again compassed me about with a song of not only deliverance but also yielding (Psalm 32:7). I added the bridge later; consider it optional.)
Here I stand in your presence
Here I rest under your wings
Your promises to me are unfailing
And your mercy I receive
Here I am
Here I am
Mark me with your blood
Hold me with your love
Let me be Lord as softened clay
Here with you I will rest each and everyday
Here with you I will sit at your feet and play (X2)
To Go On
(Like several other of my songs I got this one after struggling. Back home I go to Condry Chapel, a traditional Full Gospel church, and something that is said frequently during testimony service is "I want to go on for him." Well, like I said, I had been struggling and wasn't at any Spiritual high, when one night at church Sister Betty Moss said something like the quote above. The song began to swell up in me, and the Lord compassed me about with a song of deliverance (Psalm 32:7).)
Some days on those quiet, tired days
When I fear weak and doubt the grace to stand
I feel myself, let myself slip from the unchanging hands
But now this heart turns back to Thee
Indeed it cries out to Thee
Help me least I die
This soul cries out that it needs Thee more
To be Your servant and Your bride
Lord, I want...
Chorus
To go on, each day I'm longing
To go on, though You've seen I've fallen
To go on, that why I'm calling
Come to me, Sup with me
To go on, each day I'm longing
To go on, though You've seen I've fallen
To go on, that why I'm calling
Forgive me, Cleanse me
Take me as Your own
So yesterday's come and gone to past
My sins are washed and now I'm free at last
With freedom I turn to His throne
Raise my hands and worship unashamed
Yet still knowing there's so much more
I pray the Lord whom I adore
Help me surrender all
Help me mature and seek Your face
Help me teach others through Your Grace
Lord, I need...
Chorus

Gracious God of Heaven
(A simple praise sung to the King while in my room at the School of the Cross.)
God, to whom belongs all might
God, who's victorious in the fight
Gracious God of heaven, help me stand
I learned that you make all things new
I learned to turn it all to you
Gracious God of heaven, make me a man
With tear-filled eyes I seek your face
Leaning on your amazing grace
Gracious God of heaven, thru' you I can
Gracious God of heaven, Holy One, Souvereign King
Eternal One Almighty, to you alone the angels sing
With heart of thankfulness for your grace
I bow before you the seek your face
Lord, Savior, Deliever...
Gracious God of heaven, help me stand
