SPECIAL: GAME JAM 2 REPORT
VIRTUA FIGHTER QUEST FOR GAMECUBE

Sega AM2 announced a new project for the GameCube: Virtua Fighter Quest (tentative title). The game will be released in 2003, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Virtua Fighter Series.
Although a specific game genre isn't announced yet, it will have adventure and RPG elements in it. Every Virtua Fighter character will be in the game.
The game will be developed by the series creator, Yu Suzuki.
BEACH SPIKERS ANNOUNCED FOR GAMECUBE

Sega AM2 also announced a Gamecube port of their arcade beach volleyball game Beach Spikers. The console version will have an arcade mode, versus mode, training mode and a world tour mode.
The arcade mode will let players choose from one of 16 teams and compete with 8 other teams. The versus mode will support 4 player split screen games.In the world tour mode, players can create their own team, and train their AI partner, and increase teamwork.
The game should be released this summer in Japan.
PHANTASY STAR ONLINE FOR GC UPDATE

Sonic Team changed the title of their network game to Phantasy Star Online episode I & II. The reason for the title change is to show the difference between the Dreamcast version (episode I) and the enhanced Gamecube version (episode II).
The episode II version will have 3 new character classes and new levels, including Beachside and High Mountain, and will have several new monster types.
You will be able to save 4 characters per memory card, unlike the DC version, where you could only save 1 character per VM.
The game is scheduled for release this summer in Japan.

-Sega and Red Entertainement released further info on Gun Grave, the game will be developed by Smilebit and Red Entertainement. The game will make use of a new graphic technique called Manga Dimension. The game will be released in Japan this July. Some screenshots:

















-Sega announced a new game called The Planet Gunsmoke Trigun for PS2 and Xbox. It will be an online title, and like Gun Grave, it will be developed by Smilebit and Red Entertainment, and will also make use of the Manga Dimension.

-Sega will release a PS2 version of F355 Ferrari Challange. The game will have an original element and will feature GT Force racing wheel support.
