Tender Hearts Support Group
Tender Hearts is a support group for parents who have suffered the loss of a child.  It was organized by two mothers, who both lost their infant sons, in an effort to help other parents deal with their grief.  They wanted a place for people in Lapeer County to be able to come to for support.

Tender Hearts meets the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Marguerite deAngeli Library in Lapeer.  The library is located at the corner of M-24 and M-21.

Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents or anyone who is looking for support are all welcome to come to a meeting. Our group will listen to your story, if you feel like sharing and let you know you are not alone in your grief.  You don't have to say anything if you don't want to.  Sometimes just being with others who understand how you are feeling helps.

Tender Hearts hosted our 2nd annual quilting bee on January 12, 2002.  All quilts were hand sewn, crocheted or knitted and will be given to seriously ill children and adults in various local care facilities as well as individuals in need.  If you would like a quilt or know someone who needs one, please e-mail us at tenderheartshelp@yahoo.com or call Kim Higgins at (810) 688-8845.
