In addition to his own solo efforts, Jerry contributed to many projects by other friends and musicians. He worked with other Grateful Dead members on their work. He was a member of New Riders of the Purple Sage (with Donna Godchaux) in the seventies. He recorded tracks on albums by the Jefferson Airplane (and solo works by Grace Slick and Paul Kantner) CSN&Y (and solo works by Graham Nash, David Crosby, and Stephen Stills), Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Papa John Creach, David Freiberg, Merl Saunders, David Grisman, Bruce Hornsby, Art Garfunkel, plus several more.
