The Race To The Masters - New ATP Format!

Things have been finalised about the season ending TTT  Masters tournament.The top EIGHT players in the rankings will play the tournament.The 8 players will be divided into 2 groups  of 4 players each.The 4 players in each group will play each other. And the top 2 performers in each group move on to the  semifinals,after which the usual knock-out  format is followed.

Right now,the top 8 who could qualify seem pretty clear.Anabel,Alx,Williams Lover,Randy,ILT ,Caz ,TOT and Dokic Power. Petosp,Vsfan1,TC and Sonfo also have a chance to qualify,but they need to do extremely well in the coming 6 weeks. Players who don’t qualify for the Masters need not worry.A tournament in Pattaya will also be held exclusively for the players who don’t qualify.

The tournament may be held over whole week rarther than several weekends.More details will be provided,after a few weeks. In this format ,it may be possible  that you lose to a person in the ‘group’ round  and go on and beat the same player in the final to win the tournament.Seems  interesting…….Let’s just hope for a good thrilling tournament.
