Caz, doubles ranked number 3 and her patner, Dokicpower Tumbled out of 1rd\Semifinals of Roland Garros in thriller!
World number 3 in Doubles Caz and partner Dokic Power Ranked 7, Tumbled out of a 3 set marathon in the first semifinal of the day.

The first set went all the way to 6-6 to enter the tiebreak, and even in there things were close as both gained 1 point to reach set point both. Petosp came up with a quick and correct answer to secure the underdogs, VSfan and Petsop, a 1 set to love lead at 7-6(1).

Ofcourse the tention grew in the second set as more and more aguments grew out of control, eventualy things were calmed, and yet again we found ourselfs into another tiebreak, and yet again both teams scored 1 point each. So set point to the seed 2's and Match point to the unseeded pair. Caz and Dokicpower grabbed the opportunity before VSfan and Pestosp could, to take us into a final set, this had to be one of the closed matches i have ever seen.

The final set started off steadily, bith reaching 2-2. This is where Dokicpower and Caz had their first mistake, as VSfan and Pestosp out played them to reach a two game advantage of 4-2. The seed 2 pair came straight back however to level up at 4-4.

Petosp and VSfan had other tricks up their sleeves however as they stopped the mini-comeback to gain match point number 2. Caz and Dokicpower held their nerve as they leveled 5-5.

But in the end the unseeded pair held their ground and secured a 7-6(1) 6-7(1) 7-5 victory in a match lasting over 2 hours, this being one of the longest matches ever played in the history of TTT, along side ILT vs Anabel in the SF of the French Open.
But at the end of the match is was quite sad to see that there was sour feelings still left from the match, obviously both pairs had fought 110% in this match, and it was sad to see there had to be losers.

Alx & Sonfo Victorious Onced Again!
The Final of the French Open 2001 Doubles was also a match to remember. VSfan and Petosp had beaten the 2nd favourites 7-6 6-7 7-5 and were now taking on the number 1 favourites for the tournament, Seed 1 Alx & Sonfo.

Alx and Sonfo had came through an unexspected easy win over the unseeded pair Randy and ILT, they won 6-0 1-2 Ret, ILT retiring in that match, Randy wasnt that annoyed as he hadn't intended in playing Roland Garros Doubles, but it was still sad to see the Australian Open Runner ups go out so easy.

VSfan and Petosp made a confident start, answering quickly with good knowledge, Alx and Sonfo found it hard to keep up. VSfan and Petsop took the set 6-3 and looked on fine form, picking up from how they last played. They looked good for the title now.

But ofcourse the seed number 1's would not give up, they would fight to the very last point, and that they did, as they breezed through a 6-1 second set, the momentum was turning, Alx and sonfo were talking control of this final, VSfan and Pestosp had to make a good start in the final set.

The final set stared off even as both got to 2-2, 3-3 and 4-4. but form there Alx and sonfo made there move, they held nurve to take there match on the first match point, to win Roland Garros, The French Open 2001 3-6 6-1 6-4.

Congradulations to Alx and Sonfo for there great win, and Also welldone to Vsfan and Petosp as they put up a great fight.

Alx now still stands firm for the Doubles GrandSlam as he holds the Australian open Doubles crown with Anabel, and now The French Open's with Sonfo. He next plans to play Wimbledon with 'Out of Form' ILT, ILT and Alx are great friends on the tour. Sonfo doesn't plan to play Wimbledon, and as for VSfan and Petosp plans are unsure for them as Vsfan was schedueld to play with Canadian Steven, Steven Withdrew and petosp entered, so Wimbledon will remain a mystery for them for now. We will be sure to bring you an update on this situation when it comes avaliable.

Its been a great French Open Doubles, even if the draw was small.
