Outstanding achievement of Mr. Syed  S.B. ,SDE (MSC) as awarded for   “SANCHAR SEVA PADAK”

              Mr.SYED S. B.  is working as an SDE MSC in Mobile switch from 2002 till taday. During this period he has done excellent and outstanding work in maintenance and installation of present GSM (5ESS SWITCH)

 Following works were done by  Mr SYED S B during the year 2004-05.

 He has been given very important responsibilities of MSC/HLR of 5ESS GSM Switch  and Co-ordination of national and international roaming with new Alcatel and Lucent Switch. 

# Routine maintenance of MSC/HLR in Lucent Switch.

# Handling of roaming complaints with all the circles.

# He is effectively performing as a main co-ordinator for the International Roaming for whole West Zone.

# Efficient fault management and co-ordination with other GSM entities i.e. SMSC, IN,UMS and BILLING .

# Played pivotal role in HLR swapping, which was the first ever in BSNL network in India.

# Assisted in the growth of PSU (Hardware of SS7) etc in existing network.

# Monthly report generation of International Roaming for MH circle,

# Digit analysis and sub provisioning management.

# Co-ordination with SRS Kolkata and M/s Spice Punjab for International Roaming Implementation in West Zone.

# Implementation of USSD facility to prepaid subscribers.

# Implementation of SMPP with M/s IRIS and M/s Spice for International SMS.

# Configuration of all the GTs/MSRNs in Lucent MSC/HLR and co-ordination with other MSCs.

# Application of SUs (Software Updates) in MSC/HLR.

# Responsible for growth of NLIs in MSCs.

# IWF maintainance and routine checks. 

     Apart form the above he has shown the expertise and excellency in ,

# Testing and commissioning of National and International roaming in shortest period.

# Handling of GSM Protocol like ISUP ,MAP,TCAP,and SCCP.

# Effective monitoring and analysis of different protocols to resolve the roaming problems.

# Handling of Mobile subs complaints effectively.

# He is having complete knowledge of GSM switch hardware and computer knowledge.

# Excellent knowledge of Protocol Analyser and its handling.

# Excellent co-ordination with West zone MSCs for different issues.

             Apart from the above mentioned excellent work done in Mobile switch, other outstanding qualities are that he takes full responsibility of any allotted jobs. He takes proper decisions at any given point of time and working with utmost precision handling in delicate situation with tact and takes the advice  of superiors in proper spirit and total dedication and commitment. He also motivates his colleagues and subordinates and shows interest in new technologies to accomplish the goals and targets.
