I am interested in doing research in psychiatry. At the present I am looking to find a lab where I can investigate the level of different neurotransmitter in the CSF of clinically well-defined populations.
Previously I have been involved in projects looking at FMF; NO production, apoptosis, and coronary artery restenosis following myocardial infarction; and cell signaling following stroke.
Although I have been in Maryland for over five years, I was born in Iran. My family immigrated to the U.S. in 1987. I lived in Los Angeles before coming to the D.C. metro area.
I am interested in politics, especially that related to science and American foreign policy.
Also, I find cars and the automobile industry fascinating.
