| The Life of Terra Skye: (From her experience in the Blue Light) "It's a girl." Falron said to Taranna. He was smiling. Jaden looked at his new daughter and kissed his wife. Taranna was not happy. "I don't want the same thing to happen to her as happened to me... It's the curse of spellfire wielders to grow up without their parents!" Jaden looked at his wife, the components at his belt rustling, "We won't let that happen! I'll shield us! We could live out here, near Falron's inn. If anything ever did happen to us, he can take care of her." "What will you call her, Tara?" Falron asked. "Terra." she answered. "A masterful name..." Jaden murmured. "Terra Skye... Earth and Sky..." "She will have what I never did, memories of us! She will learn to use her talent so that it won't sneak up on her from out of the blue!" Taranna was vehement. "Terra will live a good life. She will be sturdy like the earth but with a need to be free I think..." Falron commented. "You and your beliefs, Falron. But there is no other man I'd trust with my daughter." Jaden said. "Terra Skye." Taranna mused. "She will make me proud, I think. Perhaps she will put eeryone in her place. Make people stop hunting spellfire wielders..." "The name speaks volumes..." Falron said softly. The three friends looked at each other and continued on into the village... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Terra watched as she grew up. She saw her first steps and years of her life her fifth birthday went by, and Terra choked as things slowed. She knew what was coming... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Terra was dancing around in her parent's garden, smiling. Jaden came out to her. "Daddy!" she cried, jumping into his arms. "Whoa! I'm not Falron! What if I fell over?" "Nah! That wouldn't happen to YOU." "Don't be so sure..." Jaden told her. "I came out here because I decided something." "What Daddy?" "I'm going to teach you magic." Terra's eyes widened with delight. "Really Daddy?" "Really. You can begin to learn. It'll be useful." "Mother says magic will be useful too... Why?" "You'll see someday..." Jaden didn't look happy about it. She started learning the rudiments of magic, but no spells. Her parents her happy at her progress but soon... "Taranna, I know you're in there!" a man shouted. "It took us a while to find you!" Terra was surprised and looked up from reading. "Mommy?" Terra asked quietly. Taranna picked her up and hid her. "Stay there." her mother told her. Jaden was gathering spell components and readied himself beside his wife. The house fell down. A few wizards surrounded the house with many soldiers. "Taranna, you knew you couldn't hide from us forever, didn't you?" Her mother spat at him. "You'll never be able to wield Spellfire, Vruman!" The wizard frowned. "We'll se about that. ATTACK!" {Terra cried having to watch the battle again. It was then that she saw why magic was important. She understood things her parents had only hinted at, and at the end they were dead...} Vruman stepped up to their bodies. "You never knew better Taranna, Jaden. You couldn't be sensible and surrender. Some say you were pregnant when we lost track of you, but I doubt it's validity. Spellfire will show up again though. And I'll be there to find it." He was smiling evily when he teleported away. The rest were dead or gone. Terra wailed. Falron found her and took her to the inn. He raised her there. No one knew who she was. She'd always stayed at her parents house just outside of town. She took to working at the inn, cleaning and carrying, cooking and waitressing. Things had been simple then. Her there, learning how to use her psionics, her spellfire. Hearing all the rumours that she must be a lost princess. If only it had been true... She left anyway. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "Falron, I want to find those... men..." Terra said. The innkeeper looked at her. "I never said you couldn't go... but are you ready? You don't know how to fight-" "How could you teach me? I'm always so busy with the inn and so are you! That's why I need to go, so I can learn!" "I understand Terra. The closest city for you to begin your search is Tronicia. It's a place where anything can happen. You never know who or what will show up there." "I might find those wizards! I need to find them." "If you think like that, you might get yourself killed." "I'll be careful Fal, you needn't worry." "Could you send me word? I can't help but worry..." "Certainly Falron." She arrived in Tronicia and worked at "Asina's Inn" for a short period of time. She took complete charge temporarily. Unfortunately she was stupid and impatient, calling attention to herself. A wizard came looking for her and she met many people in a short time. She soon met Yaksha, Kakumei and Nenoki... Things moved so fast... she even used her abilities on reflex. She recovered from her ordeal quickly though and stayed with her new friends. It wasn't long before she escaped to the safety of the Weyr seeking a Fire Lizard, soon accompanying the strange sorceress Gloria Azhrei. She had stupidly hid away from the adventure that drew her. She couldn't stand that and the danger seemed to have passed... Now she has rejoined Yaksha, now known as Sadhra, and she is joining Damsel to protect the kingdom. She's unsure how she will help as of yet, but she knows that she will. Suddenly Terra discovers that her father, was a prince of Tronicia, Jaden Windrider, who had changed his name to Skye. Now that Damsel has been kidnapped, Terra, her cousin, has been put in charge of the kingdom. What is a barmaid to do? Serve of course. Serve until Damsel can be saved from the clutches of the Black Shadow King. It's been almost a year now and Terra still resides at the palace. She met the love of her life Armeas only to discover he's her cousin and heir to a foreign throne. She'd have the rigors of royalty even harder on her shoulders if she were to marry him, and has decided to let him go. Now she lives each day with little adventure or event.. |
