Characters: Bao, Megumi, Chun-Li
Northwestern Forest
In the northernmost corner of the Southtown peninsula, on the outskirts of
the city, lies an actual forest. Pierced by a few highways, the northwestern
forest is otherwise left intact, acting as the barrier between Southtown and
the rest of the country. Mostly alpine forest that lasts all year, this place
is home only to a few spots of activity--the most recognizable of which being
the secluded Justice High, nestled high in the forest away from the city.

Saturday Night Fight!
It's the weekend thing that is in for all for those who wish to
participate to collide together. The sun hasn't descended yet. In fact, with the
afternoon light, the sun remains as strong as ever. Glimmering in the air, the
light radiates towards those below.
The woodland looks beautiful, but it is a shame that the animals won't
stick around. With the lights, cameras, and the group of people ranging from the
Howard Camera crew to tourists and residents of the town, it is no wonder why
the animals will not come out of hiding.
Space has been made through the forest, a border of 'Do Not Cross' is
attached.
Within the very center of the area is none other than the Chinese Psycho
Soldier prodigy, Bao! The Huggable Bao is bouncing around, stretching his arms
up, then he bends over to touch his toes while waiting for the other fighters to
show up.
"o/` I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! o/`"
"o/` Spongebob Squarepants, Spongebob Squarepants, Spongebob Squarepants! o/`"
Megumi arrives in...different fashion than she usually does. No taxi; she's
driving a motorcycle (with attached sidecar), taking it fairly slow to go
through the forest. Once she sees a crowd, Megumi stops the bike, tosses her
helmet into the sidecar, and gets off. She'll be approaching the line, but
taking a bit of time to do so; mingling with the audience some, it seems.
Talking, trying to build hype, giving out one of her red wristbands to someone,
that sort of thing. But eventually she breaks the rules... ...and crosses the
line that isn't to be crossed. "Weird match if I ever saw it, but I guess that's
sayin' something." She steps beside Bao. "Guess you're ready, right?"
Chun-Li's second limelight match in as many weeks; a startling return to the
public eye for the woman who never revelled in such attention in the first
place. But a battle is a battle. As she approaches near-silently through the
depths of the surrounding forest, her mind is focused entirely upon what is to
come - not upon the audible crowd or the cameras she will be expected to pander
to, but on the two opponents she is set to face and the challenge this will
pose.
The Tai Chi mistress has heard only of one of these warriors - the one named
Megumi. They have been briefly acquainted in the past, and Ms. Andou has found
herself quite the level of fame both in and outside Southtown. The other... Bao?
A mystery. And she has been careful not to research, allowing herself to be
surprised and intending to adapt to the unexpectedness of the situation. It will
be yet another facet in tonight's test.
As the powerful woman makes her way through the gathering then, she is almost
entirely undisturbed by the sounds that greet her arrival, only instinctively
offering a smile to either side and finally.. when she has arrived in the
designated 'ring'.. a bow to each of the four sides, hands clasped together at
her chest and body angled to the perfect respectful degree. Oddly, she even
seems oblivious of her opponents until she now turns to face them, giving a
fifth and final bow to the curious pair. Her eyes flicker over each, an eyebrow
curling slightly at sight of the youngster - but she has learned not to
understimate a foe.
"I am prepared when you are," she says softly, offering just a slight smile
before falling seamlessly into her stance, raised upon her toes and raised arms
shifting gently in a soundless rhythm. Stoicism veils her expression, and the
world's strongest woman awaits the challenge...
COMBATSYS: Chun-Li has started a fight here.
With the arriving partner, Bao lifts his head up, stopping from what he's
doing stretching-wise. Instead, he giggles and he leans himself back up. He
greets Megumi with a pleasant smile on his face, "Aye! I'm ready, miss pretty
lady!" He whisks his body up.
Then, he bows, letting the mushroom-shaped hat flop to the front of his
face.
Then, the arrival of the Strongest Woman makes her way into the ring,
bowing towards each of the people around. Bao's eyes widen in surprise. His
mouth gapes open, then he starts bouncing up repeatedly and clamping his hands
together, "Chun-Li! Teach me!" The child wants to learn Kung Fu, after all.
However, he stops giggling, then he says, "I'm ready! Good luck!" He
looks at Megumi, giving her a thumbs up and a goofy gri, "We can do it!"
He turns to face Chun-Li, lifting both hands up and he bounces himself,
facing directly at Chun-Li.

Ready. Ready. Ready. Seems everyone is ready. Megumi gives a quick hand-wave to
Chun-Li in response to the bow. Pretty casual response to that kind of gesture,
but friendly enough. "Guess that's all of us, and...yeah, I'm sure we've got a
good shot at this." Megumi thrusts a palm out towards the distant Chun-Li,
creating a small, sparkling red energy ball. It flies out towards Chun-Li, and
once it's fairly close in Megumi's estimation, she clenches the launching hand
into a fist, making the ball detonate in mid-air; hopefully to catch her
opponent in its radius.

Chun-Li blinks coolly in response to Bao, gaze flickering back to him and an
eyebrow curling once more. "Teach you?" She muses, before one side of her mouth
twitches upward, "It's up to you to learn..." Tailing off, her attention goes
back to Megumi and is instantly focused upon this older of her two opponents.
Prepared as the woman is for this rather curious booking, she is not prepared
for the feeling drawn out by what Megumi throws her way - a vignette of dread
rising in her gut, a remembered fear that always exists somewhere within. Eyes
widening, the world's strongest woman finds herself too surprised to move
quickly... the orb of energy scattering into her side and causing her to stagger
briefly.
Her alarm is over as soon as it begun however, her keen mind identifying this
strange energy as something she has experienced before; and not solely from the
hand of villains. Athena Asamiya. She vows to find out more about this, but now,
the fight. Whipping herself around to dash in toward her two waiting foes,
Chun-Li is forced to make a snap decision between them - the unknown quantity,
or the assuredly experienced fighter? It's not the most complex of problems.
With her body bowing low, fingers on one hand brushing the floor, the Strongest
Woman in the World launches her first attack.
"SPINNING BIRD KICK!" Legs lancing out to either side as she inverts her posture
with unbelievable ease, Chun-Li flies in toward Megumi with her famed series of
strikes, whipping around not unlike a human hurricane. It has begun.
When Megumi preps for the first strike, Bao is busy readying himself,
slapping both cheeks while murmuring, "You can do it." Clap clap. "You can do
it." Clap clap. After the chant is made, Bao sees that Chun-Li is chargign
forward with that spinning bird kick strike. Sliding his right foot forward, the
child sprints towards Chun-Li, "Here I come!" The young boy is dashing straight
towards Chun-Li, then he takes off into the ground.

Of course, he does't have quite enough power to channel the Psycho Power.
So instead, Bao is somersaulting along the ground, then he springs up into the
air. Bao prepares to shift his weight to where he can tilt his head over.
With the head tilted over, Bao is dropping down towards the human
hurricane like an atomic bomb.
The power of the Bao headbutt, which will likely shake the ground on
impact.

What the hell is he doing? Megumi looks over to Bao at a really poor time; while
Chun-Li is spinning in with flying feet. Being confused with just what he's up
to with all that clapping and chanting leaves her distracted, and really, she
kind of expected him to be targeted first. So when she looks back to
Chun-Li...Chun's already there. Megumi tries to cartwheel backwards, but that
just means she's caught in the sides with kick after kick, sent spinning to the
ground from a failed evasion. Definitely a strong, telling set of blows; it
takes her a moment to get back up.
But she does stand, and Megumi...stays back. Watching, thinking, planning.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Bao's Heavy Kick.
After Megumi is spat away from the flurry of powerful kicks, Chun-Li unfolds
from her signature technique with equal grace to how she initially entered it,
dropping into a half-crouch and then rising to her feet... or not. With an
exhalation of air she throws herself fully down, a tensing of trained muscles
propelling her backward in a short skid that sees Bao's incoming atomic headbutt
miss entirely. That actually seemed like quite the powerful assault - a lesser
fighter may have felt that one for some time.
"Nice try," the woman comments, not unkindly, as she moves into action. Stepping
forward whilst rising off her haunches, she reaches out to grip the Psycho
Soldier with both hands, attempting to scoop his fallen form into a sudden throw
rather akin to one used by the Ansatsuken practicioners. Can we say, Seoi Nage?
Twisting her body, Chun-Li aims to turn fully around, tossing Bao heavily to the
floor to what was once previously behind her.
The end result? The Chinese warrior will be facing Megumi, and should have a
good chance at evading whatever the pink-haired prodigy might throw her way
next. Meanwhile she'll sink into a deep stance, silent, tensed and waiting.

Coming down like a comet, Bao crashes towards the ground. The ground
rattles and shudders uncomfortably. Wow, that was quite a headbutt. As soon as
the fissure ends, Bao is getting back up to his feet, then he urks towards
Chun-Li when she gets up to grab him.
Bao's eyes widen when the woman lifts him up, giving him a sudden throw.
Bao braces for the incoming shot, drawing his hands together at the same time.
witht he powerful ball of energy forming in his grasps, Bao channels forth the
Psycho Ball.
Bao lands heavily on the floor, but he releases the small blue orb
towards Chun-Li's direction, "PSYCHO BALL!" The power of the orb is quite
immense, just about the same property of Megumi's preivous attack.
Megumi is left wondering once more just what the hell Bao is trying to do,
tripping around like that. At least this time it's because he got tossed,
though. As Bao launches his attack, Megumi does likewise, diving headlong
towards Chun-Li, one fist extended as her body twirls through the air. That fist
is wrapped in red energy, aimed to try and slam into Chun-Li's stomach. The
other hand is ready to swing down to the ground and cartwheel Megumi sideways if
she's successful, but it's definitely an 'if.'

To a fighter like Chun-Li, the strange manner in which Bao whether her assault
is almost instantly apparent - both in the tension within his small frame and in
the way he impacts the earth. So when she slides back into her stance, the
world's strongest woman is prepared for the very worst - she has already taken
the scope of Megumi from that intense first attack, and so when the twin
assaults come...
With a dramatic swooping of the winds, the comrades' opponent is gone, her
gold-filigreed form vanishing in a blur as powerful legs tense and release to
send her soaring upward in a high backflip. She comes around above the 'stage',
breathing in deeply after her effort, but wastes no time in drawing her hands to
her hip and then throwing them forward - the accompanying burst of blue-white
chi enough to keep her hangtime running. "Kiii-"
A golden pinpoint flares, and the Tai Chi mistress hurls her arms forth, bearing
palms glowing with this manifested energy. "KOUKEN!" The pinpoint coalesces
abruptly to a small globe that launches out toward Bao at whiplash speed, its
path cutting a graceful spiral in the air as it closes. The projectile's owner
meanwhile allows herself to drop with equal grace to the ground, spinning when
she hits a crouch to face Megumi, gaze fixing upon her with a focused intensity.

This is not a good day for the young prodigy in proving himself to be a
formidiable opponent. Bao is starting to get back up to his feet, twitching few
times. He immediately presses his legs back up to where he can press himself
back up. Bao offers a giggle, then he smiles at Chun-Li, "Alright! That was
good! " She managed to back flip away from his blast. Man...
How awesome.
But, when Chun-Li lashes out the small globe, Bao's eyes widen in shock.
"Oowwwww!" Bao is stumbling back, taken in by the full brunt of the strike. The
youth lands on his back, groaning in pain.
Bao is clutching onto his chest, "Ow... that hurts... so much..." The
young boy immediately pulls himself back up to his feet, smiling. "I can handle
this!"
However, something stops him. It is an odd look on his face as he is
feeling that something is taking over. It is the epithiny of power taking over
his small body. The young child clutches onto his chest, shutting his eyes while
he takes everything in his mind.
He takes a step towards Chun-Li while the attention is drawn towards
Megumi. His eyes undergo a purple glow, the ground around him rattles.
Rattle, rattle. Rattle.
The vibration suddenly becomes stronger as the resonation heightens. Bao
is becoming engulfed with a flash of light. The power, sleeping in dorment
inside of the youth, is now preparing to unleash itself.
"Ahhh...."
...This is very unexpected, even to Bao. The uncontrollable body warped
in him suddenly makes itself known as the light is blasting itself out of Bao's
body.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
The vibrations become more violent as Bao launches himself off of the
ground. With his back arching, the light becomes bright... appearing as nothing
more than a dome of raw power.
The uncontrollable power... sleeping in the mere child...
...is unleashed.
Megumi lands harmlessly as Chun-Li gets out of the way, though it takes her a
moment to get moving again. A moment long enough for Chun to paste Bao. But
right as that happens, she rushes at Chun-Li and tries to grab an arm at the
wrist. If she gets that, she'll yank back to try and pull Chun off balance, then
swing her free arm at Chun-Li's neck in a forward, then downward motion to try
and take her down to the grassy surface. Should it work, perhaps it'll give Bao
extra time to do...whatever he's doing with that energy-burst. Hopefully.

Watching Megumi come her way is rather difficult when Chun-Li begins to sense
the upsurge in psychic energy from Bao. He may be strange in appearance and
manner, for a fighter, but she cannot dent he clearly has reason to be within
this exhibition of talent... it's not something she particularly desires to
encounter any closer, though, if she has any particular say in the matter. The
pain imparted by this energy has yet to be great outside of her encounters with
Shadaloo, but..as Megumi exhibited - it stings more than might be expected, and
carries an unidentifiable element.
Though unsurprisingly, the Strongest Woman in the World is not lingering long
upon such thoughts at this stage; these will come later, along with possible
questioning with either or both of her younger opponents. For now, she forcedly
stays her mind from focus upon the Psycho Soldier as Megumi approaches, and on
rising slowly to her feet she almost seems to accept that she is caught -
instead of attempting to get away from the speedy Aikido manuever, she flows
with it and ends up cushioning the force of her fall greatly. Enough that she is
up in an instant, squirming away from Megumi and kipupping to her feet in time
to meet...
Energy. Just the sensation of its prescence causes the woman to clench her
teeth, brow furrowing in concentration as she staves off the mental assault and
the images it brings to bear. She may be adjusting slowly to this power, but
only slowly. "No!" The cry comes with a hint of desperation, and Chun-Li whips
herself into another airbound backflip, rising high above the forest arena
before crashing down on her two feet as the energies begin to diminish.
Breathing hard, the woman exerts her will to remain in action, keeping one eye
on the unbelievable Bao whilst stalking forward to Megumi and then picking up
speed at the last instant. "Your powers are interesting," she has time to
comment quickly to the girl, her tone strained, as she darts around to one side
and aims a simple roundhouse kick across the shoulders. "HA!"
Such power...
...It quickly dies away...
Bao is left on both knees as every trace of the enregy is getting away
from him. Bao lowers his head for a moment, then he rubs his forehead,
"Eghn...." Such a powerful exhaustion of energy, normally uncontrollable by the
youth. Bao is staggering against the ground. Tilting his head back, then tilting
forward, the youth is staggering rather drunkenly with a giggle.
"...I... I can do it!" He looks towards Chun-Li, then he exhales a sigh.
Finally able to catch his breath, Bao zips towards Chun-Li, leaping forward.
"Time for...."
The body glows with a blue energy while he curls into a ball. The young
child is rolling towards Chun-Li as he says, "MONKEY BALL!" The young boy is
dashing out towards Chun-Li, aiming to crash right at the back of the Strongest
Woman.

Megumi brings up her arms just in time to take the high kick there, instead of
on the shoulder. Still hurts, just not so badly. "Been a while since I've
heard..." She jumps back as Bao sails in like a human cannonball. "...Anyone
describe it like that." Then once she sees the outcome of Bao's assault, Megumi
puts her hands together in front of her, creating a bright red energy-ball of
her own. It hovers for a moment, then with a light push, she sends it flying at
Chun-Li.

Monkey ball? The call causes Chun-Li to half whirl around even as she lowers her
leg from Megumi's quickly raised guard. On taking in the sight of Bao shooting
toward her in a spinning globe of energy - in two senses - she is a little
startled and almost thrown off entirely. However, with evasion born from
instinct the woman shifts herself into a defensive stance and promptly whirls in
a pirouetting motion to zip around the incoming boy. Coming around facing Megumi
through the dissipating fireworks, she smiles slightly.
The words about to pour from her lips die quickly though, her mouth making a
small 'o' as her body is flung into yet another agile manuever - this time
dropping low to the ground, the woman performing an impromptu gymnastic split to
cause the pink-haired girl's projectile to whistle overhead. "It's been a while
since I was attacked by anything like this," Chun-Li finally responds from her
new location, the smile only very momentarily returning before she pushes
herself back to her feet through aid of an applied palm.
Once standing, she does nothing more for the moment, restoring her regular
stance and glancing between her two opponents quickly. Back and forth, not
lingering upon one but trying instead to focus on both during the same instant.
Megumi has proven herself most able to attack and defend the world's strongest
woman, but Bao has not been properly judged yet - his power seems unusually
high.
COMBATSYS: Chun-Li focuses on her next action.
When Bao is charging towards Chun-Li as the ball of death, he shuts his
eyes, hoping for the best of the impact. Unfortunately, Chun-Li zips past him...
And the youth extends both feet outward to skid himself into a complete halt.
Bao eeeps, immediately projecting himself to where he can get a good look at
Chun-Li. "Man... she's fast...' He looks at Megumi, then he says, "...Any idea
what we can do?" He pads close to Megumi, then he starts to gather the Psycho
Power from within him.
Stepping his right foot downward, he hardens his stance while tightening
his fists. The Psycho Power erupts from the youth as he channels the power.
COMBATSYS: Bao gathers his will.
Megumi has a little more than just energy to fling around though, watching as
Chun-Li bounds around. To Bao's question, she replies, "Keep pouring it on. No
fancy stuff, just...hound her down, I'd say." Once Chun has landed however,
Megumi charges. She sprints after Chun-Li, expecting evasions and anticipating
things like long leaps to get away. It's entirely possible -- even likely --
that Chun is faster than her though. But if Megumi can keep up, she'll try to
grab Chun-Li by a hand, and twist it sideways; an Aikido hold that will try to
turn the forearm's bones into one another. Potentially painful, that.

Chun-Li initially darts away from Megumi, sinking down upon her famed legs and
virtually sliding to one side in a blur. However, once the girl is able to close
this new distance, the Tai Chi mistress proves herself to be focused once more..
twisting her seized arm in such a way that the hold is broken with only the
merest grating of bones. She knows how effective such techniques can be - an out
and out evasion would have been dangerous. Now though, she is able to slip away
from the Aikido motions of the young fighter, once more dropping low and this
time...
"TENSHOU KYAKU!" Acting on the fastest instinct possible she launches herself
upward of one hand, whipping her right leg up into a kick designed to catch
Megumi upon the chin - propelling her heavenward in preparation for what
follows. With two deft twists of her hip and the use of an alternate foot for
each blow, the world's strongest woman looks to strike all three times, gaining
height each time, before finally allowing her opponent to fall back to earth.
For her part... Chun-Li aims to extend her aerial status as long as possible,
gaze flickering to Bao once she is done.
Man, Chun-Li is so tough. It's too hard to beat h er. Oh well, Bao will
have to try his best. Megumi did say that he should not bother with anything
fancy, bu just take her down fast and quickly. The young boy sprints over to
meet with Chun-Li's distance.
With a powerful thrust, Bao is aiming to whip the leg right out towards
Chun-Li's face...
... Until he sets it down while he skids over to a close angle.
Tightening his body and his stance, Bao extends both of his hands forward.
"YAAAAAHHH!!!" Purple energy engulfs his hads, swirling along his grasp as the
rapid energy dance. The Psycho Power is aiming to capture Chun-Li in is grasp.

Megumi does something...very strange. When Chun-Li begins a series of spinning,
rising kicks, Megumi uses this to launch herself. It's a very painful way; feet
slamming into your head rarely helps your physical condition, but it does get
her going quite high. And as Chun-Li begins to descend, Megumi does too. She
lets out a loud yell, as a thin red energy ray shoots off her feet and stops a
few inches short of Chun-Li, above her head. The ray expands into a massive,
spinning cone with the tip pointing at Chun-Li, the open end towards the
descending Megumi. She lands in it feet first, and when she does, the cone
resumes moving, trying to smash Chun down, hard.

As Bao closes upon the Tai Chi mistress he finds himself the closest yet to
attaining success. Landing in a half-crouch right next to the dimunitive
psychic, the woman has, however, not lost track of his progress and is not put
off by the feint he throws before her. Sliding to a standing position before the
retreating limb, Chun-Li pauses only for a heartbeat - long enough to see those
palms thrust toward her - before bending herself with athletic precision
/around/ the outthrust attack. Psycho power licks at her bandaged midriff but
fails to take hold, though soon enough the chance is taken from it.
"What-?" Blinking rapidly, the world's strongest woman catches the red glimmer
from Megumi in the corner of her eye, and with desperate speed she hurls her
arms about her upper body, crossing them to form a sturdy guard with which she
soaks a good deal of the damage that would otherwise be wreaked by the
pink-haired girl's crazy technique. Even so... Chun-Li is launched backward a
good eight feet, boots scuffing up narrow furrows in the forest floor.
"..." She opens her mouth as if to speak but says nothing, too lost in the rush
of adrenaline and the flow of combat. Darting in suddenly toward the recovering
Megumi, the powerful Vigilante spins around her airborne foe and slides in with
an uppercutting palm-thrust, launching her right arm upward into the blow. It
could hurt, if it connects.. not least given the subsequent crashing to earth.
Man... there is no stopping Chun-Li, the young boy exhales softly,
frowning at the result of the fight. The young child falls to his knees, trying
his best to remember wha he was doing. "Man... she's powerful..." He sands up,
"No! I won't give up!" He pulls up determined look on his face, then he is
rushing towards Chun-Li. He has to get himself to continue the fight.
Bao leaps into the air, making his way towards Chun-Li. The young boy
immediately launches his right leg over towards the back of CHun-Li's head. It's
rather weak, but it should be quick enough to get the Strongest Woman's
attention.

Megumi emerges from her cone-dive to find herself under immediate assault. She's
tired after taking that many hits to the head and responding with a 'big gun'
that was underwhelming in its effects, but not so tired she can't defend
herself. Chun-Li's upward palm strike is stopped, grabbed at the wrist as Megumi
takes that arm, and spins behind Chun-Li, wrenching the limb upward. She
continues to spin, emerging back in front of Chun-Li from the other side --
having gone in a full circle around her. Megumi lets go of the wrenched arm,
grabs Chun-Li's other arm, and uses it to pull Chun off balance while Megumi's
free arm swings up to wrap around Chun's neck and apply downward momentum. A
fancy but only moderately harmful takedown.
COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Bao's Light Kick.
Chun-Li's eyes widen perceptibly as her strike is turned against her, and she is
subsequently taken for a ride by her younger foe. "Nngh!" The final slamdown is
accompanied by a pained grunt from the woman, though she is saved the worst of
Bao's strike at least - his momentum clearly not compensating for something
wholly unexpected from his partner. The kick whistles past Chun-Li even as she
rolls into one shoulder to get up from the grappling manuevers of Megumi.
One upright, the Strongest Woman in the World dances backward with just a quick
roll of her shoulders to shrug off the lingering discomfort, making distance
from Megumi with quick movements of her feet. "I knew you were talented," she
says slightly breathlessly, drawing her hands to her side and seeming to focus
for a moment before she continues, "Your record against Sakura is supposedly
excellent..." It's no diminishing comment, made with a respect between two
warriors born from similar respect felt by Chun-Li toward the aforementioned
schoolgirl. It changes nothing, but it's merely a recognition.
Back into the action though, and Bao may find himself gaining a moreorless free
strike. It takes a few seconds for a burst of chi to erupt from between the
curled fingers of the world's strongest woman, though when it does the power is
reasonably immense. A billowing inferno of blue-white surrounds her hands, and
with a building cry she charges forward toward the strongest of her opponents.
"Kaaaaa-" Whipping her arms around in an arc until she presents both palms
forward and open, Chun-Li appears to be hurling a projectile - until her intent
becomes all too clear, she aiming to close with Megumi and thrust the raging
bundle of power forward to pummel her into submission. "KOOOOUSHOU!"
Respect she has, and there is no holding back as a result.
The young boy exhales a sigh,then he looks at the oler woman. He has to
do well. She has managed to get away from all of his strikes. While pressing
himself backwards, Bao is position himself to where he can channel the Psycho
Power. The hands grip into the air while he leaps back from both Megumi and
Chun-Li.
He calls out, "PSYCHO BALL!" He extends both hands ouward, sending the
projectile ball of psycho energy right at Chun-Li's back, "Like dodge ball!"

Megumi is still pretty close to Chun-Li after the takedown. "Maybe, I don't
really keep track of matches with her though, not something I'm too focused
on..." She expected a reprisal of some kind; a kick, perhaps. She was ready for
a a kick. A big blue chi burst was not what she expected, and Megumi tries a bit
too late to backflip away from it. She's caught in it, pummeled by the chi, and
sent flying into a tree. Megumi slumps to the ground after that, and she's not
getting up. Instead, she just throws her arms wide apart, creating a paper-thin
red energy 'wall' that flies off towards Bao, trying to go over him. After
that...well, she's conscious, but not moving; it only takes a quick count to
confirm she's been eliminated from the match by any reasonable standard.
COMBATSYS: Megumi can no longer fight.
COMBATSYS: Chun-Li endures Bao's Dan Kougeki - Bound.

Chun-Li remains extended for quite some time after assaulting Megumi with her
overkill blast of energy - a belated riposte to the burst she was victim to at
the very beginning of this bout. As the chi dies in a dissipating mist, the last
dregs leaking away between the woman's slightly shaky fingers, she only finds
the briefest instant to recall that she does indeed have a second opponent;
focused as she is upon the fallen Megumi. In truth a she expects that red line
to come back and strike her, something else that distracts her from her task.
However, late for any reaction as the Strongest Woman in the World may be, she
does have the prescence of mind to tense her powerful form and take the psychic
inferno like a warrior true. This time the effect of the strike is less than it
has been, mentally, merely the briefest rush of indistinct emotion bubbling up
from the woman's well-concealed interior. The physical effect staggers her by
itself, though, and she stumbles... hands dropping to her side and clenching
involuntarily to fists.
"Ow," she breathes helpfully, attention flashing onto Bao now he has made
himself so unmistakably well known. "There's a reason I was avoiding that..."
with the hint of a smile she straightens herself, breathing in a lungful of air
and then surging forward, her whole body rocking back on one leg once she closes
with the Psycho Soldier. Cue a simple but potentially effective thrust kick -
aimed to propel the boy back onto his rear before he can manage any more painful
energy balls!
COMBATSYS: Megumi successfully hits Bao with Aura Mend.
COMBATSYS: Bao dodges Chun-Li's Medium Kick.

With Megumi taken out by the power, Bao's eyes widen. "Oh no!" he frowns,
then he looks over towards the girl. He grimaces at the huge wave of energy
engulfing her. Bao shields his eyes from the raw power, wincing at the chi
erupting around Megumi, "Ahhh!" He looks over to see tha she is slumping to the
ground. He runs after her to see if he can help her up, "I'll save you!"
...A little late for that, Bao. The boy looks at the energy, his eyes
widen.
..But, there is something about hat wall. Ah! He remembers it now! He
rushes straight into the wall, remembering what it does from watching the
matches! He shuts his eyes, bracing himself.
...Ooh... tingly! It's like riding the slide.
Few of his wounds from the impact fades away. But Bao turns his attention
owards Chun-Li, who is attempting to swing her incoming foot at Bao. The young
child shifts to a more evasive stance, then he somersaults away from Chun-Li.
"I'll avenge my partner in battle!"
~ ... You can do it, Bao... just act like one of the Kung Fu masters like on TV!

Bao sprints straight towards the Strongest Woman, then he lunges himself
forward right into the attack position. Bao is thrusting his right out towards
Chun-Li with a quick punch, then he is spinning around while leaping into the
air. He winds his right leg out towards Chun-Li's head. "YAAAHHH!"
COMBATSYS: Chun-Li interrupts Heavy Kick from Bao with Strong Throw.

After hurling her evaded thrust kick, Chun-Li immediately reassumes her stance
with a turn toward Bao.. forcing her focus and resolve to return after her
furious tussle with the boy's downed partner. Attention now solely upon the tiny
Psycho Soldier, it comes as little surprise that the world's strongest woman is
entirely prepared for his headlong rush. "You have potential," she remarks to
Bao as she takes his punch, barely flinching as it strikes her midriff -
impacting tensed and bandaged flesh. "And power."
"But you lack something!" Stern-faced as she steps back from the subsequent kick
thrown by the boy, the woman suddenly turns this slight momentum into a flip
backward off her feet. However, rather than complete the flip she scissors her
legs and clamps her thighs down upon Bao's head as he spins through with his
ineffective assault. "HEEEYA!" Whipping backward with a furious extension of
effort - such a manuever barely able to be executed even by her - Chun-Li
completes her unorthodox assault by releasing Bao from captivity shortly before
she can touch down to ground once more.
Allowing him to crash to the floor after boldly going where no boy has gone
before, the Chinese woman sets down in a crouch from which she is speedy to
recover, about-turning and taking a step back to fall into a defensive stance
near the countered psychic. "But you did say you wanted to learn..." She flashes
a small grin.
While he does manage to complete the strike against Chun-Li's stomach,
Bao is immediately tucking his head up as he springs forward for the kick. With
Chun-li aking a step back from the kick, Bao is put into the position where
Chun-Li flips backwards. The thighs clamp agains Bao's head, and the young boy's
eyes widen. The young boy is held captive by the strongest woman. But what does
Bao think about being captive in the position that he's in?
~ ... I think I see heaven.... ~
This comes short when Bao is touched to the ground. Argghnn! Bao's eyes
are swirling around, groaning in pain. "...Aie ya ya.... I think I see more of
pain instead..." He groans a bit, then he looks up at Chun-Li, then he stands
back up to his feet. "I want to learn more!" He beams, then he looks at the
Strongest Woman. He extends both of his hands forward, then he calls, out,
"HERE'S MY POWER!!!!" Bao channels forth a large, blue sphere of energy. The
sphere gradually increases in growth. With the growth of the Psycho Power
erupting in his hands.... Bao concentrates the power, "Eghnnnn..."
Then, he unleashes the huge ball towards Chun-Li. "....saaaiiii!"
COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Bao's MAX Psycho Ball.
Despite the lighter expression she shows briefly, Chun-Li is still very much
within the rhythm of this fight. Grin faded completely now, when Bao voices his
desire she gives a businesslike nod of her head, a light 'hmph' of assent the
reply to the Psycho Soldier's chirped request. Tightening her stance with a
snapping clench of muscles, the world's strongest woman then watches with an
intent gaze as her astonishingly young opponent channels the full extent of his
energies. The woman was not speaking lightly when she declared her interest in
this power - so like /his/ but with a subtle difference that seems to lie in the
intent. Like chi, but so very unlike it at one and the same time.
"I'm ready!" The call comes almost as an affirmation to herself, as Chun-Li
moves with the very surging of power forth from Bao. Twisting her form sidelong,
she springs off one mighty leg to cut into a diving leap over the maelstrom,
feeling it billow at her skirts and the ribbons binding her hair, and deeper
than that - licking at the fabric of her being. It's curious that this
dimunitive would-be warrior seems steeped in a far greater amount of this power
than the more skilled girl currently lying prone
But without further time for ponderance, the Strongest Woman in the World curls
around willowlike in the air, bringing one leg around in an arc as she descends
toward Bao, the other reaching out behind in a mirror image. Effectively she is
executing another gymnastic split when she finally completes her manuevering -
but this time it is offensive. The extended leg is intended to catch Bao from
head to toe, the woman noiseless aside from a slight expulsion of breath as she
seeks to finish this.
COMBATSYS: Bao fails to interrupt Sen'en Shuu from Chun-Li with Hontai Kougeki -
Crush.
COMBATSYS: Bao can no longer fight.
After Bao's Psycho Ball is hurling pas Chun-Li as she leaps over the
powerful maelstrom. His eyes widen in amazement. "Wow..." He frowns a bit, then
he is starting to sprint towards Chun-Li. He isn't going to go down without a
fight. Bao tucks his head in, calling out, "Here... I... COME!" Bao launches
himself towards Chun-Li, preparing to crash agains her. But before he can even
get a chance to leap off of the ground, he is crashes irght into chun-li's leg.
The young boy is caught from head to toe, then he is slammed to the
ground from the impact. "Aahhhhhh!"
Wham! Bao is twitching several times, then he gives a thumbs up.
...Thenhe collapses into the land of unconsciousness.
He'll at least dream of being caught between Chun-li's legs.
Chun-Li's likelihood of making a flawless landing is somewhat reduced when Bao
crashes into her in mid-bound, and the impact actually jars her to one side in
the air. Though she manages to recover herself well enough, tucking both legs in
so she lands in an unsteady low posture, knees bent and back bowed, the world's
strongest woman still needs a moment to recover. Physically she is in reasonable
condition but mentally... the accumulated effect of Psycho power and tactical
decisions against more than one opponent is now seriously weighting upon her.
Enough that the voice of an accouncer cutting in to declare her victory goes
right over her head.
Standing where she is for a collection of heartbeats, watching Bao with
something halfway between alert focus and groggy uncertainty, the Chinese woman
finally relaxes and straightens up, hands falling loosely to her side and her
bearing rather more casual than she would normally assume. "You did well, Bao.
Keep practicing and you'll go far," she murmurs to the unconscious boy, shaking
her head to clear her thoughts before looking toward Megumi. Consideration, and
then a spark shines in her eye. With a sudden renewal of vigour she makes her
way over to the fallen schoolgirl.
"When we've rested... I'd like to talk about what you can do, if you don't
mind..." The words are voiced in a low tone, inaudible to the SNF audience
either present or at home, and Chun-Li pauses only a fraction longer, to bow
deeply to Megumi, before turning upon her heel and making her way back through
the forest. The pace will be slow but the walk will be refreshing - that was as
curious a match as first impressions suggested...
Megumi had been mostly content to just lie down against the tree as the fight
went on. When it's over and Chun-Li is walking up however, Megumi looks up.
"...Eh? Oh, I get it." She thinks she knows how that talk will go, anyway. Then
Megumi gets up, and with little fanfare returns to her motorcycle. Helmet put
on, engine activated, and Megumi rides off.
