Characters: Chun-Li, Cammy

Pacific High
In the southeast section of Southtown, alongside the beach and boardwalk,
Pacific High enjoys a unique position in the schools of Southtown. Pacific is
a school focused on teaching its students within the scope of a global
community, rather than a local one. Many of the students who attend Pacific
in Southtown are not Japanese, but come from all over the globe to study in
Japan. As they have come to Southtown to learn about the culture, the
restrictions on attending class and staying on campus are very lax. Quite
often one can find Pacific students coming and going from campus freely,
though attendance hasn't suffered too badly for it.

As Pacific is an elite school, with only about 500 students worldwide, the
Southtown campus is small, but clean and very new. The main building houses
the classrooms and facilities, while the dormitory sits off to the side, a
simple two-story building. A concrete path leads to the athletics field, and
the ocean is plainly visible from here.

Pacific High. Not a place Chun-Li would ever have assumed she might frequent,
decent as the school's reputation is and as lacking in wealthy American
acquaintances as she is. However, during the afternoon of this particular day,
she finds herself approaching the gates with a determined resolve to hunt down a
student of the institution. No ordinary student, but one who demanded her
attention some time ago under far differing circumstances... a certain Miss
White, until recently an enforcer for the man whose untimely death has long been
the primary goal of Chun-Li's existence.

As might be expected, the Chinese woman scarcely believes the rumours that Cammy
now attends such an illustrious college as a rapidly normalising member of the
student body, and is even more doubtful that this meeting she seeks can come to
anything but blows. On the flipside, there is an even greater doubt lingering
within; the curious youngster has been nothing but a mystery since they first
crossed paths in Seattle. This new revelation has been quite the curveball - and
old presumptions and judgements are ringing less certain by the moment.

With a hundred questions in her mind, Chun-Li begins to question students
immediately, cutting an imposingly well-known figure in her traditional fighting
garb complete with white boots and spiked bracelets. The questioning is bound to
yield results eventually, and slowly but surely she finds herself gaining
definite steps toward some form of progress - though within half an hour she is
beginning to tire of the questions thrown in turn to her famous self, and
especially of the more snobby students who outright refuse to answer /anything/.
Still... Cammy can't elude discovery for much longer, can she?

Oh, she certainly could evade discovery. But there were three things
required for that to work. The first, knowledge that one such as the...
'strongest' woman in the world would be seeking her. Unknown to most, and
suspected of being a lie or cover story by the some that do know, Cammy had lost
all recollection of her life before a few months back. Cammy did not possess
that first element. And so, when the young once-Doll leaves the classroom that
holds her final class for the day, the pigtailed girl filtering out only after
most of the other students that could, the student's mind unburdened by thoughts
of Chinese Tai Chi Mistresses.

The second element that that required was the skills necessary to avoid
people such as Chun-Li. In spite of her amnesia robbing her of the finer points
of stalking and killing people, the girl did remember how to fight, and trained
extensively in the woods outside of town, any chance she could. With her last
class of the day done, that training was what was on her mind at the moment. As
she walks along the hallway of the school, Cammy slides her backpack off of her
shoulders, bringing that item in front of herself as she walks along. A deft
movement of her hands, and she unzips the top, the girl holding the backpack in
one hand as she dips her free hand into the backpack, easily removing something
from the top.

Her beret. Snapping that atop her head moments before she reaches the door
leading into another section of the school building, a almost lazy look settling
unto Cammy's expression as she pushes the door open, stepping past the threshold
of the doorway. Almost immeadiately, the light from the florescent bulbs in the
ceiling strikes her form, causing the emblem on her beret to glint, as well as
the shiny medal she wore pinned to the outside of the dark blue blazer that
covered the rest of her high school uniform. Pausing then, Cammy rolls her neck
and releases a sigh as she continues to hold her pack in front of herself.

The questioning done by Chun-Li would likely yield the location and time
of Cammy's final class, and seeing that Cammy was still in the vicinity of that
classroom...

"Excuse my asking, but it's important... do you know a girl by the name of
Cammy?"

"Cammy White? Sure thing. ma'am. I just got outta lessons with her-"

"In which classroom?"

"I could show you the way, if you'd like?"

"Thank you."

And so it is that the world's strongest woman is led to her quarry be a helpful
young American boy, brushing past him once he so usefully points her toward the
vacating classroom; a slight smile and deep nod of her head offered in brief
thanks. Not as gracious as she might usually like to be, but now that her
journey has brought her here she is eager to cross paths with the one-time Zero
Doll... too eager, perhaps? Such remains to be seen.

Adjusting her bracelets as she strides down the corridor, gaze darting about for
the giveaway pigtails and - even more distinctly - the figure she remembers
being upon the receiving end of, Chun-Li forces herself into a calm focus.
Attempting to induce as much sanity to the end of her hunt as is possible, she
reminds herself of the descriptions she has heard from her Vigilante partner and
the World Warrior... that Cammy is unlikely to be hostile, that she is innocent,
that the Tai Chi mistress must prepare to be disappointed. Preparations she
attempts to make now.

It takes a couple of minutes before she catches up to the girl, however, and
this time would seem to be plenty. Coming to a halt a few feet away from the
instantly recognised youth, Chun-Li falls to a relaxed posture, hands hanging
loosely by her side and feet close together - not the stance of one immediately
searching for trouble. Forcing a polite and friendly note to her voice, she
calls across the open space of hallway in a crystal clear tone. "Miss Cammy
White? I'd like a moment of your time!"

Mayhap she will not be recognised... but the glinting medal pinned to her famed
outfit may hint toward another intent to her announcement - false though this
intent may be.

Most of the muscular figure of the girl that was once the Zero Doll is
hidden beneath more feminine clothes... but there was no hiding legs like that,
not with the skirt that some that went to Pacific wore. Cammy drops her hand
back into her backpack, and is in the very middle of pulling a small, brightly
wrapped piece of chocolate out of her pack, when the voice from behind calls her
name, catching her attention.

Immeadiately, Cammy both tenses up a small bit, and freezes. A moment, and
then Cammy turns fully around, her head twisting to the side beforehand so she
can look upon the woman who called her name...

...whatever business Chun-Li had with the... 'Cammy of before' had been
forgotten by the young girl, evidently; for there was no trace of recognition in
those brilliantly blue eyes that Cammy possessed. "A moment of my time?" Cammy
asks, the tone of her voice clearly showing the curiousity she was feeling. Now
fully turned towards Chun-Li, Cammy slips a single strap of her backpack unto
her left shoulder, her right hand still holding that brightly-wrapped piece of
candy, Cammy's gaze going up and down Chun-Li, assessing her.

"What is it that you..." Cammy begins, but there is a pause as soon as her
eyes fall upon the gleam of the medal. From there, Cammy's eyes rise up to
Chun-Li's face, a small grin beginning to tug the corners of her lips upwards.
"...want?" she finishes.

Chun-Li's brow furrows just slightly as she meets those large blue eyes, the
expression fleeting but all too obviously expressing a moment of surprise; it
may have been something of which she was forewarned, but she can be stubborn...
seeing the utter lack of triggered memories catches her off guard. It also
disturbs the woman on a deeper level. What manner of thing occurred to turn this
girl from assassin to innocent? Or worse, is she honestly such a good actress as
to keep even the most telling feature so completely blank? These mental
stumbling blocks almost cause that assumed pleasantness to fade permanently, but
the ex-Interpol agent does restore her unthreatening visage within a moment.

Smiling more widely in greeting, Chun-Li lifts her hands to her chest, palms
pressing together before she offers Cammy a formal bow. After all - whether or
not this is a cunning act, it is not best to keep her own mannerisms intact? "As
I said, just a moment of your time..." Straightening up she meets Cammy's gaze
once more, giving a barely visible shrug of her shoulders to alleviate the
formality, "I've heard a little about you recently, and wondered how much of it
was true." As she puts forth this hastily-erected excuse for making contact, the
world's strongest woman studies the Zero Doll's expression with a careful eye.
That grin offers no insight save making this situation all the more strange..
why would the girl be smiling if-ah!

"I, er," A falter in her speech as she marks the prominently displayed medallion
upon Cammy's torso, eyebrows skittering upward as revelation comes, "I hear you
decided to participate in the tournament arranged by the Kanzuki corporation."
Lifting one hand to curve a finger toward the medal she herself wears, fingertip
tapping it softly, Chun-Li smiles brightly, "Given the calibre of other fighters
I know are taking part, I came to see exactly what the fuss was about the
marvellous Miss White. I hear you put in quite the showing against the World
Warrior..." Tailing off with a slight tip of her head to one side, quizically,
the young woman not only listens for a reply but watches with an analytical
eye... she must find answers, somehow...

Really. Would a man such as Vega tell his most favoured (as Cammy
perceived it) Doll to play innocent for a little while, perhaps to act
erratically for a few months before her 'change'? If that was indeed his plan,
it wouldn't be too difficult to discover reasons for it. Already, Cammy had been
deemed 'safe' by a British agency, the World Warrior, and presumeably even
Charlie. Shadaloo's 'silence' on the matter of her defection thus far may also
be... strange.

But in any event... Cammy's grin falters as she both sees, and senses the
momentary confusion in Chun-Li's expression, the once-Doll's own expression
becoming a bit confused herself. Observing Chun-Li's bow, Cammy's lips flicker
downwards for a brief frown, before she lifts up her own hands to her chest,
setting her palms to one another before she offers a mimicry of the bow Chun-Li
had just offered to her back towards the world's... strongest woman. (That
subtle shrug of the shoulders, as well.)

Straightening up then, Cammy takes a step away from Chun-Li, her hand
rising to her collar, loosening the little scarf she had tied about her neck.
Remaining silent as she watches Chun-Li closely, Cammy's hands drop to the
buttons of her blouse then, ignoring the fact that... while the halls of the
school were going through a bit of a quiet time, there were still students
walking up and down the halls. Cammy and Chun-Li were likely drawing a few
stares in passing.

Cammy's hands falter at the flattery, leaving the first button on her
blouse only midway done as a blush enters her cheek. "You heard about my fight
with Ryu?" Cammy says demurely, glancing towards the floor as she finally
unhooks the first button, pulling her blouse open a bit. Have no fear; for
instead of skin showing where her blouse was opened, there was instead a patch
of dark blue cloth that rises up to the hollow of her throat. Without pause,
Cammy's hand drop down to the next button, although the girl shrugs her
shoulders in the midst of that motion, pulling her arm from the strap of the
backpack to let it fall to the floor below.

Cammy glances up towards Chun-Li grins a little bit towards her. "If I had
to pick the strongest in this tournament, I would choose Ryu. Just thought he'd
make the best challenge." Cammy says, her tone brightening. "I take it you're
interested in a fight, then?" Cammy says, giving Chun-Li another quick up-down
glance.

In all fairness, this would not be the first time that Chun-Li has been taken
for a free ride by the ex-Doll. Their initial meeting was deceptive until the
quickly halted motions of battle... though, in hindsight the deception there was
blatant from the outset, and had the Strongest Woman in the World not been
injured she might well have reacted very differently to Vega's ploy. However,
the dictator is far more canny than his overinflated ego might suggest - it
would be not be completely out of the question for him to have instructed Cammy
to act as she now is. Somehow though... such a conclusion feels /wrong/.

This judgement holds true as the Chinese woman assesses her conversational
partner, appearing simply to be paying her full attention whilst doing so. Her
ears are pricked every bit as much as her other senses, and she gives a nod of
her head in response to Cammy's question concerning Ryu - though common sense
will dictate she goes no further with just how and why she was given this
information. The next gesture is a curving of a single eyebrow once the
schoolgirl appears to be getting undressed.. though it is amusement rather than
shock, Chun-Li knowing only too well the nature of duality and the occasional
need for outfits within outfits.

"Mm," she responds on the subject of said World Warrior, "We've crossed paths
once or twice, and I'd have to agree with you. But we'll see, won't we?"
Puntuating the joking edge to her voice with a quick wink, she then straightens
up and spreads her legs evenly to either side. Almost in her own mimicry of
Cammy, she reaches with both hands to make quick adjustments to the set of her
own costume. Glancing down with a semi-critical eye, she cracks a half-smile,
"And why not.. I have a feeling you'll give me quite the challenge, Miss White."

Looking up, Chun-Li slowly assumes a defensive stance, one hand closing to a
tight fist at her left hip and the other extending with curved fingertips aimed
to one side of the beret-clad girl. Skirts billowing briefly before they settle
between her legs, the motions of the world's strongest woman bring the corridor
behind to a halt - several students stopping their conversations and turning
attention toward the pair of fighters nearby. Paying them no heed, the woman
offers only one more thing, for now. "My name is Chun-Li. Attack me when you're
ready!"

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li has started a fight here.
COMBATSYS: Cammy has joined the fight here.

With blouse thoroughly unbuttoned, Cammy pulls the bottom of the garment
out of her skirt at the same moment Chun-Li mentions having crossed paths
before. Cammy's 'undressing' halts for a moment as the girl glances up towards
Chun-Li's face, eyes narrowed somewhat. The first, and most sudden thought was,
'not one of -these- people again'... and that thought is the cause for Cammy's
narrowed eyes... but then Cammy's expression relaxes into just that of careful
thought. With the recent revealations the mysterious Rose had given her... all
these people with wildly varied ideas of Cammy's past and history... may not be
quite so... erm... silly, crazy and/or misguided after all.

The extra bit of flattery that comes with Chun-Li's half smile only serves
to further soften Cammy's expression into a answering smile, although there was
nothing halfway about the way Cammy excitedly smiles at the older woman. "Nice
to meet you, Chun-Li." Cammy says, freeing herself of her blouse and blazer with
a backwards snap of both her arms, those garments fluttering down to the floor
by her backpack. Cammy then wriggles out of her skirt, and kicks that aside,
leaving her dressed in the outfit that she normally fought or trained in, the
thick, one-piece swimsuit-like, dark blue garment that she was quickly becoming
known for.

Falling down unto one knee, Cammy twists back around towards her backpack,
reaching inside... and carefully withdrawing what would appear to be a pair of
forearm guards, or guantlets... gauntlets that may or may not stir a memory
within Chun-Li. For they were exactly the sort of guantlets Cammy used to wear.
This pair, however, looked very brand new, and was painted a crimson sort of
colour.

Slipping her hands quickly into those gauntlets, Cammy begins to rise once
more, turning towards Chun-Li as she raises her fists in front of herself, the
crimson leather of the gauntlets creaking as the ceramic on the back of each
forearm guard catches the light... and then Cammy sidesteps away from her
backpack, before squaring her stance, legs set at a little past shoulder width.
And as a slow grin begins to touch upon Cammy's lips, the once-Doll extends her
right fist, and slowly opens it as she turns it, palm facing ceilingward. And
Cammy's grin grows a bit wider as she beckons to Chun-Li with the fingertips of
that hand, in a 'bring it' sort of gesture.

COMBATSYS: Cammy focuses on her next action.

Had Chun-Li been informed of this unusual woman with whom the Zero Doll has had
contact... she may well have arranged a meeting before hunting down her target
here, to gather what information she could on her own life, her own goals. But
life has been busy since arriving back from the jungles of Thailand and the
Strongest Woman in the World comes relatively unprepared aside from the brief
advisements of her closer friends. Unfortunately she has even foregone something
quite important; the discovery of what manner of power it is that Vega uses, and
that Cammy used in their first painful meeting. One where indeed, those fighting
gauntlets are recognised from. Memory of that night burns brightly to the
memory, even now.

"Oh?" Chun-Li responds with a little amusement as once again she is requested to
make the first violent motions, breaking off her careful analysis of the young
schoolgirl's posture and poise as compared to their prior encounter, to favour
her with a quick nod of the head. An affirmation that she will indeed be
'bringing it' in just a few moments... but first. Extended hand retreating from
where it lies motionless in the air, the Tai Chi mistress brings both sets of
curled fingertips to stomach level, wrapping them around an imaginary ball as
her gaze focuses intently upon Cammy. Stoic, concentrating deeply, she is still
for but a moment before a golden light flares in the corridor.

"Ki-!" Breathing the single syllable as this brightness explodes, the shine soon
coalesces into a tiny globe hovering between the woman's palms. With a sudden
blur of movement she proceeds to lunge a step toward the waiting girl, thrusting
her hands forward wide open now, to unleash this orb of gold forth. "KOUKEN!" It
does not travel alone though - a blue-white sheath flashing into existence to
enshroud the projectile as it whips in at astonishing speed to cover the
distance.

Should Cammy evade, the energy will dissipated before heading too much further
beyond her - Chun-Li has marked a gathering audience of students to either side
and will not risk injury to them. No matter how long she has (somewhat secretly)
desired this rematch with her opponent. It begins.

COMBATSYS: Cammy negates Kikou Ken from Chun-Li with Large Thrown Object.

[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > //////////////////////////////]
Chun-Li 0/-------/-------|-------\-------\0 Cammy

And as Cammy sees Chun-Li's nod, the grin on the girl's face grows a bit
tighter, the girl curling her extended hand into a tight, tight fist, her arm
quivering with the effort as she returns her arm to herself, clenched fists held
before her.

      It begins indeed.

Although the beginning wasn't quite as obvious to Cammy. What -was-
obvious was that Chun-Li was preparing to do something, with the start of her
Kikou Ken motions. And Cammy prepares herself. Her arms, now visible due to the
sleeveless fighting garment she wears, tense along with her shoulders, Cammy
hunching her head a bit...

...and with that explosion of light that draws the attention of a passing
female student, Cammy flings herself backwards in a sudden backflip, her mind
already guessing what Chun-Li was planning. Guessing, mind. While she had a
dulled sense of the feeling of strength rising in Chun-Li's mind... the feel of
the energy itself? She couldn't sense that at all. Landing from her backflip in
a crouch as that astonishingly fast projectile streaks towards her, Cammy grits
her teeth as she lashes out with a sneaker-clad foot... not towards the ball of
energy itself, but at one of the tables that line the corridor, that heavy piece
of oaken furniture tumbling end over end towards the kikou ken.

Splinters shatter in a cloud, along with whatever other effects the
projectile would have. But the table flies up into the air, spins around once...
and then falls directly down, landing upside down between the two women, the
legs of the table pointing up towards the ceiling.

"Hmph!" Chun-Li's exclamation as she watches her projectile manuever crushed by
a wooden obstacle is hardly indignant, offended or smug... rather she's
impressed, and perhaps excited a little by the quick thought and reaction time
demonstrated by the rogue Shadaloo operative. Not wincing as splinters rain down
from the air, the woman is instead prepared to launch herself directly forward
with seeming disregard for the newly placed terrain modifier. Breaking into a
short-range sprint, at the last moment she hops off one powerful leg to balance
the toes of her other foot upon one of those raised table legs. Skirts and
ribbons streaming behind her, she proceeds to leap to the next leg along in what
appears to be the same motion, balancing for just a moment before...

"HEEE-YAH!" Whipping her form into a dynamic gyration, the Tai Chi mistress
simultaneously launches herself close to the roof with a tensed-release of
trained muscles. Coming around in a strangely angled pathway through the
corridor, she is still finishing her spin when she reaches her opponent, at
which time a single leg unfolds to strike a roundhouse to the side of Miss
White. Whether or not the blow connects, Chun-Li is prepared to make a crouching
landing with an equally fast retraction of her limb - either rebounding or
simply accepting her gained speed to come down ready and waiting.

Though she doubts the wait will be terribly long.

COMBATSYS: Cammy fails to counter Medium Kick from Chun-Li with Cannon Revenge.

[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > //////////////////////// ]
Chun-Li          0/-------/------=|====---\-------\0            Cammy

One of Cammy's downfalls? The rogue operative was a bit... confident.

Settling herself back down into her little more than shoulder-wide stance,
Cammy watches the approach of Chun-Li. There was no denying the speed of the
other woman's approach, although with a inward smirk, Cammy thought she was
faster. No... -knew- she was faster.

And so, instead of doing something sensible, like move out of the way of
her opponent's oncoming kick, Cammy lowers her right forearm, and twists a
little to the left, intent on placing her hard ceramic glove in the way of the
kick, a little below the Tai Chi mistresses' knee... except something went
wrong. The hard kick blows through Cammy's guard to slam into her side, the
young woman releasing a cry as she is propelled away from Chun-Li, traveling
where the kick takes her. But the air was Cammy's element; something she was
hoping to display.

As she flies away from Chun-Li, she tips her torso to the side, in the
direction she was flying... the girl inverting herself in the air slowly, almost
lazily. Twisting around so that she faced Chun-Li, Cammy snaps her hands above
her head to catch the floor, her beret staying atop her head... somehow. It
would've been really neat to stop in a handstand, but she was traveling with too
much momentum for that. Fingers curling on the floor for whatever grip her
strong hands could find on the surface of the floor, Cammy's legs nonetheless
keep going, Cammy whipping them earthward so that the soles of her sneakers slap
against the floor of the corridor. It was then that she stopped, her back arched
as if she had just finished performing a suplex. And it was then that she pushes
up off of the ground, her legs tensing as she brings herself into a stand. The
problem? All these acrobatics took time. Time Chun-Li could capitalize upon.

Feeling her blow connect with full force, the world's strongest woman is not
oblivious to the fact that Cammy attempted to mount a very final defence. It's
something she dimly recalls being attempted before, during the girl's days as a
Doll... and something she recalls as failing then too. There is no smug feeling
of victorious elation however, the woman simply twisting with the momentum of
her landed strike to land in the aforementioned defensive crouch. Hardened eyes
follow Cammy's acrobatic landing and during this time the older fighter barely
moves, though her hands do travel slowly to her hip.

"Does any of this feel familiar?" The question comes to Cammy as she steadies
herself, Chun-Li's expression serious as she poses this. The line is direct -
but then, either the ex-Doll knows exactly what this situation entails, or she
does not. No harm can arise either way, minor confusion aside. Allowing the
space of a few heartbeats to see just which arises, the Chinese woman then flows
to a standing position and directly into another attack. This one will certainly
be familiar.

"KOUKEN!" It's cried more violently this time, the kiai not built up but simply
called in one simplistic bark. The golden light flares for a shorter moment but
does not lack the intensity, leaving outthrust palms in much the same manner. A
spiral of misty energy marks its passage as the projectile technique is once
more unleashed toward the schoolgirl.

COMBATSYS: Cammy dodges Chun-Li's Kikou Ken.

[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > //////////////////////// ]
Chun-Li          0/-------/------=|====---\-------\0            Cammy

"Well, sure!" Cammy says tightly as she whirls around, teeth gritting
together. The attack was familiar enough, although... Chun-Li leaving out the
cry of 'Ki' before 'Kouken' almost threw Cammy off. Almost.

Eyes widening at the sight of the too-fast ball of chi, Cammy throws her
arms over her belly, and falls down to one knee, ducking so low that her little
forehead taps against the ground. "Does..." Cammy begins. Calculating when the
danger would be past, Cammy leaps up from the crouch into a jump that takes her
flying towards Chun-Li, the soles of her sneakers perpetually pointing towards
the ground as she slaps her arms across her chest, one after the other, sending
her into a rapid spin as she flies towards Chun-Li. And during Cammy's short
'flight', her right arm suddenly begins to blaze with a light bluish sort of
energy; almost like a blue fire.. if fires sorta sparked as well, and let off
little white motes of light that trail along after Cammy, those little motes
twinkling for a few moments before they vanish.

Cammy's leap was calculated to let her land right next to Chun-Li, and as
soon as Cammy's feet strike the ground, she lashes out her gauntleted forearm in
a backhanded blow, hoping to slap Chun-Li across the side of the head with a
forearm. And as she does so, she shouts... not in anger, or mocking, but a
forceful shout to go along with her strike. "...THIS FEEL FAMILIAR TO YOU?"

Well, perhaps there was a touch of annoyance in her voice. She could guess
at the Tai Chi Mistresses' answer already.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li blocks Cammy's Axle Spin Knuckle.

[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > /////////////////////// ]
Chun-Li          0/-------/-----==|====---\-------\0            Cammy

Remaining extended as she watches her second attempt whistle directly past
Cammy, the chi bursting into tiny motes of mist just six paces distant from the
lightning-quick girl, Chun-Li allows herself a wry mental note; regardless of
any other changes that may have occurred, Vega's favourite weapon has kept her
startling speed. Straightening in tandem with the subsequent leap from her
opponent, this note is scarcel filed away when it is being summoned back to the
forefront of the woman's mind.

The incoming knuckle strike is both fast and deceptive, the shout that
accompanies it most of the warning given beside the forward momentum of the
girl. Chun-Li reacts as might be expected however, snapping up her right arm to
catch the crushing strike on curled fingers. A shock still runs through to her
body.. but that could have been far worse. "Indeed it does," the reply to the
taunt comes as a quiet murmur, barely audible and seemingly not even really
directed specifically toward her opponent. The jolt of energy experienced along
with the blow was something that has preoccupied the world's strongest woman
almost as much as Cammy herself. Psycho Power. The mental lancing it delivers is
in many ways worse than the conventional physical pain.

Hurling off the partially nullified effects, Chun-Li moves into execution of her
own return assault. "HA!" Loudly professing violence, she attempts to lock her
fingers around the blocked hand, once she has a grip twisting Cammy's arm and
shoving it forward... enough to open the schoolgirl's guard wide and allow a
much more effective follow-up. Darting in as Cammy hopefully staggers from the
given push, the Tai Chi mistress rocks back on one leg and aims a powerful
thrust kick up into her opponent's chin - aiming to lift her off her feet and
into the air with its force. "HAAAA!"

COMBATSYS: Cammy dodges Chun-Li's Strong Throw.

Cammy expected that sort of remark from Chun-Li. What she didn't quite
expect was the opposing woman's speed in her counterassault. "You're good..."
Cammy says as she feels Chun-Li's fingers clutch around her forearm, with a
curious sort of awe in her voice. How could she have never met, nor heard of
this woman before? There were seemingly very few people in the world that had a
hope of keeping up with Cammy, this sort of thing was a surprise to her. A
pleasant one, mind.

Chun-Li was equally successful in twisting Cammy's arm around, and shoving
it back towards her, Cammy staggering backwards... it was when Chun-Li tries to
kick Cammy's chin, that things go wrong in the Chinese woman's plan. Having kept
her wits about her throughout the push, Cammy anticipates... or senses, in a
fight it sorta blurred together... Chun-Li's followup kick, and in response?
Cammy puts her left foot behind herself in a flash, and at the same moment,
leans backwards, Chun-Li's kick striking nothing but air.

      And Cammy grins.

"No, no..." she murmurs, bringing her left foot off of the ground, and
leaning heavily on her right, her closed fists dropping down to her hip level as
she throws her torso backwards, and down a bit, showing off her tremendous
flexibility as she keeps her right foot planted on the ground, and after a short
pause, Cammy hammers her left foot upwards. "Like this!" she cries out with the
kick, hoping to catch Chun-Li beneath the jaw.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Cammy's Medium Kick.

Halfway through the execution of those motions, and finding herself hit with a
sudden compliment, Chun-Li can't help but let a smile graze her lips. Caught up
as she is in the next martial cry, there are no words forthcoming - simply the
kick that Cammy is already taking smart steps to avoid. And... whoosh! True to
her own level of grace and skill, the assault smashes only the fabric of the
air, scattering oxygen molecules in a crazy pattern unseen to the naked eye. The
world's strongest woman was quick to pull the blow though, feeling the response
from the formerly gripped arm and knowing she may not experience full success.
It's enough that she already has her leg swinging around and foot setting down
when the physical riposte comes.

"Huh-!" With a similar rush of winds, Cammy's sneakered foot strikes nothing
worth striking - Chun-Li bending her upper body dramatically to one side, her
hands whipping out to either side for balancer. Gaze flickering upward only
briefly to follow the kick's passage, the woman offers a breathless, "Thanks, so
are you," before shifting her right leg back and darting the left foot forward.
Moving in an uncanny shift similar in style to Cammy's own, the Chinese woman is
soon well placed to execute a whirling attack with her palms. The right sweeps
in and around to unbalance the former Doll with a strong slap to her extended
leg, whilst its partner launches forward in a snaking three-fingered blow to the
girl's midriff. "SEI!"

COMBATSYS: Cammy dodges Chun-Li's Medium Punch.

This time, not even the slap to Cammy's strong leg would find purchase. As
soon as her foot finds nothing but air, Cammy likewise couldn't help the small
smile that comes to her lips... although that smile quickly dies into a look of
seriousness. She would have to try harder, it seems. Snapping her leg upwards as
the slap comes in, Cammy avoids the gutpunch by doing something deceptively
simple.

Falling backwards. As she falls, her pigtails trailing along above her
with that movement, her eyes stay focused upon Chun-Li's face, and she brings
her clenched fists above her belly, her once-kicking leg staying extended and
lifted as she falls backwards... but mere moments before her back hits the
ground, Cammy whirls around, twisting her torso and hips, fists opening into
palms as she catches herself... and with a slap of foot against floor that seems
to fill the corridor with its noise, Cammy twists her hips until they were in
line with the rest of her body, kicking hard against the floor with her extended
foot.

That motion propels the young student upwards, Cammy's hands curling into
fists as she ascends, feet-first, leading with her left foot which suddenly
begins to blaze with that energy of hers. "CANNON SPIKE!"

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Cammy's Cannon Spike.

...cue a quick blink from the Strongest Woman in the World. Not only is Cammy as
fast as she remembered, it tells a great deal for how much the schoolgirl has
also improved over time - Chun-Li herself feels stronger than she used to, that
entire year ago. Regardless of the reform of the girl before her, which she is
seriously beginning to feel must be gospel truth courtesy of all signals thus
far, she has clearly not diminished her abilities one tiniest iota. Quite the
opposite. Giving a quick sigh and withdrawing her striking hand, the woman
proceeds to watch her incoming opponent until the last likely instant.

This evasion takes quite some extension of effort; prone as Chun-Li is within
her current position. Rather than rise fully to her feet then, she comes to a
half-crouch and then shoves herself backward with the application of both hands
to the corridor's floor. Boots shrieking a protest at the sudden inertia, none
the less she is able to avoid the incoming kick, much to the relief of her body
and soul... it is another technique she recalls and the energy blazing about its
striking surface is something she tries to avoid at all costs. Especially in a
warrior of this skill level.

"Close." The Tai Chi mistress states while finally coming to her feet, but
wasting no further time. A glance is shot upward to the descending schoolgirl
before she rushes forward in a deceptive two-step 'sprint', replacing what would
be the third pace with a sudden launching off her back leg, the left knee
shooting forward in front to nail Cammy with a swift blow before she can make
contact with the floor. Not the most effective, but the timing is certainly
there.

COMBATSYS: Cammy blocks Chun-Li's Light Kick.

Chun-Li          0/-------/----===|====---\-------\0            Cammy

There wasn't much the once-Doll could do to dodge -this- one. Or so she
thought. Continually keeping her eyes upon the Tai Chi Mistress, Cammy twists
around as she descends, choosing to stare directly into Chun-Li's eyes as the
older woman steps forward, Cammy's head pointed towards the ground all
throughout. And in spite of Cammy's attention not being upon Chun-Li's attack,
Cammy raises her armoured arms to cover herself in the exact spot the knee
strikes, that blow knocking the form of Cammy away from Chun-Li.

And in the instant that she had before her head made contact with the
unforgiving ground... Cammy kicks her legs towards Chun-Li, the force of the
kick enough to whirl her around... not quite in time to land upon her feet, but
then Cammy bends her knees, landing upon the ground upon both of those knees.
Not a instant passes before Cammy springs up to her feet again, the girl
whirling around towards Chun-Li, and lifting both of her fists. Instead of
attacking, however, Cammy chooses to stare at her opponent, her legs moving in
slow, careful backsteps.

COMBATSYS: Cammy focuses on her next action.

"Ngh!" Chun-Li grunts as her knee-thrust impacts with a solid guard, though it
has the desired effect. With the rogue operative knocked away, she's able to
land a scant moment after setting herself airborne, both feet planting firmly to
the ground and her arms returning to guarding positions from where they were
flung about for balance during that last attack. "We could do this all day," the
world's strongest woman says with an accompanying laugh, shaking her head as she
meets Cammy's intent gaze.. certainly they seem to be closely matched, but a
single solid strike landed on either side and with little fatigue effecting
either of the female warriors. "I'm glad I came looking for you."

The last might come a little blindside, but the smile given to punctuate it is
certainly heartfelt and... actually, this surprises the woman herself. Blinking
quietly, a more serious expression takes root once more and she settles into her
stance with what appears to be just a touch of confusion. Just what /does/ she
believe now? Miss White hardly seems the threatening, creepy and cold-hearted
agent she was before, coming across as amazingly normal despite her personality
quirks. Certainly she is no more unusual than most other high-calibre fighters.
So while she is being watched, Chun-Li watches in turn. Mulling things over for
a moment.

She's the first to make a new move however, breaking the lull with a sudden
expulsion of breath and dropping low before sweeping forward in a headlong dash
directly toward the backpedalling schoolgirl. Covering the distance in a flash,
there's a blur in her passage as she even more suddenly launches into a graceful
flip over Cammy's head - coming around with no lost speed but with one leg
extended below, and the right knee this time jutting forth extended. An
unorthodox manner of attack, but during her descent Chun-Li's plan is to catch
her speedy foe with a punishing strike to the back of the neck.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li successfully hits Cammy with Strong Kick.

Chun-Li          0/-------/---====|=======\-------\1            Cammy

Unorthodox? Well, it's hard to hold that against Chun-Li, considering how
well it seemed to work. Cammy stares forwards, narrowing her eyes as she ducks
her head a bit, and leans her torso to one side... only to have Chun-Li's foot
strike her not only at her back, but at the base of her neck, Cammy's head
thrown back and her eyes widening, her lips opening with a wordless cry as the
pain shocks through her very system.

It was enough to send Cammy staggering forwards, the girl tripping over
the remains of the table from earlier, and careening towards a face first fall
upon the ground, Cammy lying there for a few moments. The observing students
grow silent, before a girl calls out, "Get up and get her, Cammy!", the various
students beginning to root for the fallen girl. This -was- Cammy's home ground,
now. And when Cammy pushes herself off of the ground, it is with a quick
exhalation of breath, and a equally brief thumbsup to the watchers, before Cammy
turns her concentration over upon her foe, fists lifting before herself once
again.

      It's rather a pity Chun-Li wasn't fond of Cammy's Psycho Power. In a
instant, Cammy was sprinting too-quickly towards the Chinese fighter once again,
the girl kicking off of the ground, and thrusting her feet towards Chun-Li,
Cammy crossing her arms over her chest as she begins to spiral towards Chun-Li
in a feet-first jump. It wasn't until a few moments before the potential impact
with the Tai Chi Mistress' gut, that Cammy's feet decide to erupt into bluish,
sparking, quasi-fire. "SPIRAL ARROW!"

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li blocks Cammy's Spiral Arrow.

Chun-Li          0/-------/--=====|=======\=------\1            Cammy

Chun-Li's power is often underestimated by those who associate her with speed
and grace... likely the same rings true for the younger fighter, too. But the
fact remains that this blow is most definitely a painful one to weather - those
it has hit experience much the same manner of toppling that Cammy now suffers.
When picking a nasty place to target, the neck is a prime suspect and in
accordance with the teachings of a crotchety old assassin Chun-Li has chosen it
as a way to crush mountains that otherwise cannot be crushed. In this case? The
mountain was rather small and incredibly fast, but the principles remain the
same!

Rebounding from the shocking impact of her knee, the Chinese woman lands
balanced well on her extended leg, before lowering the other slowly, taking her
time as she looks over toward the fallen schoolgirl with something akin to
concern. This is a battle among relative equals and not one she is content to
hold back in; but all the same, Cammy is the youngster here and worthy of some
sympathy. It feels particularly odd to the /giver/ of sympathy though,
considering how she would have felt half an hour ago. Shaking off this lapse,
she settles down into the defensive stance used earlier and watches for the next
assault...

Coupled with cheers and that chirpy thumbs up from the muscular girl, it is easy
to see that something is incoming - Cammy's not done yet by a long shot, and the
upsurge in mysterious Psycho Power foretells something that could cause a good
deal of damage. "Give me your best!" The Tai Chi mistress calls out with a rush
of adrenaline into her blood, simultaneously hurling up her forearms and
dropping low to catch the impact of the strike. It's a beauty, and though she
manages to weather most of the damage she's still blasted back toward the wall
of the corridor. Hitting it with kicked-back feet, she comes to a stop and sucks
in a breath of air.

"...lucky..." Admonishing herself under her breath, Chun-Li remains perched for
long enough only to tense her famous legs and then kick off from the wall
into... something else rather famous. Twisting her body around in the air, she
ends up with her head facing downward and her legs above her shortly before they
snap out to either side. The distance to Cammy is very little, but it's covered
in a sudden gyration of swooping kicks, the woman becoming a whirlwind of
potential pain. "SPINNING BIRD KICK!"

COMBATSYS: Cammy dodges Chun-Li's Spinning Bird Kick.

Chun-Li          0/-------/--=====|=======\=------\1            Cammy

The distance between her and Chun-Li may have been short; but Cammy was
fast. As the inverted Chun-Li flies towards her, Cammy leaps backwards and away,
lifting up her hands and knees as she soars through the air, Cammy's pigtails
trailing along in front of her... and unfortunately for Cammy, one of her
pigtails was struck by Chun's gyrating feet, that particular pigtail launched
around Cammy's head, wrapping around the lower half of her face. "Mrph." she
says, leaning backwards in the air, as she spreads her arms out to both sides of
herself.

Fortunately for Cammy, she lands upon her back, leaving Chun-Li to sail
harmlessly over herself. Throwing herself unto her front, Cammy then pushes
herself up into a kneel, taking a few precious moments to unwrap the thick
pigtail from around her face. With that done, Cammy rises to her feet, and
begins to dash towards Chun-Li once more, her breathing carefully regulated...
and instead of doing something potentially predictable, (a mid-air attack of
some sort, like the kind she had been favouring..), it was Cammy's mode of
thinking that something mundane would throw Chun-Li off a bit. Upon closing in
within a few feet of Chun-Li, Cammy bends her knees as if preparing to jump, but
instead of actually jumping... she brings her right foot up off of the ground,
lashing it at the side of one of Chun-Li's knees.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li interrupts Medium Kick from Cammy with Quick Throw.

Chun-Li          0/-------/=======|=======\===----\1            Cammy

Uncanny. That is the only word that springs to mind as Chun-Li whips past over
the ducking ex-Doll's head, her signature flurry shifting only the still air of
the corridor. But this is scarcely the first echo of their battle during last
year's summer, and proves only too decisively that - angel, devil, or
misunderstood - Cammy the high school student is one and the same as Cammy the
drone assassin. Uncanny as the constant grace within the Chinese woman's
movements, as she subsequently unfolds from her unsuccessful attack, bending
willowlike to set one boot at a time back to earth, ending up in a spinning
crouch to face the rapidly incoming girl.

"No wonder you gave Ryu so much trouble!" She chirps out with one of her rare
grins spared toward Cammy, meeting the determination of her opponent with a
moment of whimsy. Though her actual attitude could not be further from this
display, and she's already clued in to the feint before it comes, anticipating
the actual intent of the next strike and whipping both hands out in preparation
to catch it. "Soo!" Expelling breath in a sharp burst, Chun-Li closes a
double-handed grip upon the sneaker threatening to smack her off balance,
standing up with this grapple in place and giving a quick twist to one side.

After pitching the Zero Doll to the floor with this effective manuever, the Tai
Chi mistress is left free to dance back a few steps, falling into her habitual
stance with manner once more stoic and gaze locked upon the girl. Her success
rate at landing strikes has improved greatly... it seems she's finally wearing
down the feisty younger fighter, but clearly there is more yet to come.

Indeed there was. For while Cammy was slowly being beaten down... the
younger girl was still full of fighting spirit! Eyes widening as her kick was
grabbed, Cammy makes a good attempt at trying to catch herself as she flips to
the ground, but it was fairly likely that Cammy didn't quite intend to land
face-first on the ground. But no sooner did she land, then push her entire body
up off of the ground with a little hop, the girl quickly bringing her sneakered
feet beneath herself-so-that she could quickly get herself into a crouch, which
she rises from, whipping around towards Chun-Li.

The very first thing Cammy did with the first breath she drew was breathe
a quiet, self-berating curse at her seeming inability to hit the older woman,
but that breath was released, and she draws another, slowly backing away from
Chun-Li. That second breath? It was released in a quiet, rapid murmur, Cammy's
eyes flickering just as rapidly over the form of the Chinese woman, the young
student pausing in her backwards pace at the same moment her murmurs do.

And with that, Cammy lifts her hands up at her sides, bending her knees
into a deep crouch, her entire body tensing for a moment... before she jumps.
The jump was hard, perhaps a bit -too- hard for the space given to her in the
corridor, but before she hits the ceiling, she twist around, hammering the
ceiling with a very precise, very strong kick.

One that sends her barreling directly towards Chun-Li, as she flies, her
eyes light up with a certain fire, and a fierce look settles itself unto her
features. "LOCK ON!" she cries, and the entire length of both of her legs erupt
into flame, Cammy positioning herself so that her first strike would be a
reasonably straight jumpkick, aimed right at Chun-Li's shins...

      Except -extremely- fast.

That would just be the first blow, presuming that hit. Hopefully blowing
Chun-Li clear off of her feet, Cammy would whirl around, throwing herself unto
her back unreasonably fast as Chun-Li sails over her, Cammy then delivering a
harsh double-kick to Chun-Li's belly, sending the... strongest... woman in the
world sailing up into the air. Cammy would be on her feet in a flash, then,
leaping up towards the flying Chun-Li... before flipping once in mid-air, and
delivering another sharp, double-kick to the back of the woman as she ascends,
sending her earthwards once more.

This was, of course, Cammy's plan. And the best laid plans...

[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ////// ]
Chun-Li          1/-----==/=======|====---\-------\0            Cammy

Chun-Li watches, waits and analyses from within her stance. Regulating her
breathing as she surveys Cammy's recovery, retreat and own focusing exercises,
the Strongest Woman in the World begins to feel that ever-so-slight stirring in
the deepest of her senses. That sense possessed by precious few in the world,
and trained to the same extent by only a fraction /of/ those few. Her eyes
narrow a touch, and she has to forcibly halt a reflexive desire to flee further
from her opponent - but then, there would be scant room in which to flee and
possibly little point given the speed of her assailant.

Waiting then, is the decision. One that appears at first to be the wrong one
entirely. With the first cry of 'LOCK ON' Chun-Li's heart leaps into her throat,
eyes slamming wide open and a gasp quivering from between parted lips. Tensing
her body she prepares to bolt to one side from that first devastating strike she
knows is coming, but.. something within keeps her motionless. It requires all
the substaintial willpower she holds, watching Cammy fly in at whiplash speed to
blow her off her feet and then continue the grievous assault Chun-Li knows is
coming.

The good news; the massive kick connects, wiping out the world's strongest
woman, who falls heavily onto her side, a grunt of shocked pain barely
suppressed to something far quieter than it may have been. The bad news? Pushing
past the psychic energy raging across her bruised legs and battering at the
fortress of her soul, the powerful beauty is able to somehow roll to her feet in
a fluid motion, timed in perfect synchronisation with the return of her skilled
opponent. "TENSHOU KYAKU!" The cry rips the air, touched with a desperate edge
that lends an unusual huskiness to the tone which normally might ring so bright
and clear. What rings truer is the following set of motions accompanying it.

The first kick beats Cammy's to the draw, quicker than greased lightning and
drawing close to lightspeed, as the Chinese woman hurls herself upward with
right leg extended to slam a boot straight into the younger warrior maiden's
jaw. This is followed with a mighty twist of the hips that brings another kick
flying in whilst the two raise into the air... and half a dozen more in rapid
succession, alternating gyrations of the body bringing the pain to bear before
finally the Zero Doll is released. Her opponent meanwhile pushes off from the
high ceiling to drop back to earth in a tight three-point crouch, breathing
deeply.

Cammy's plans come to a abrupt halt, her thoughts seizing as she realizes
that her move was thwarted, that realization coming all the more clearer as a
throbbing, sharp pain smashes into her jaw. That pain was soon joined by exactly
six more blows of equal strength, slamming into Cammy's ribcage and torso at
various points. And then finally, Cammy was left to fall backwards towards the
ground, her eyes narrowing as she grits her teeth, and lifts up a open hand as
if she were making a very futile attempt to grab at the ceiling or... something.

That was before Cammy's body falls to the ground again, her body slamming
into the floor with a loud *WHUMPH* noise, Cammy's arm falling to the ground
beside her. For a few seconds, all in quiet from Cammy's quarter. "...ow." Her
strongest attack thwarted? It seems all was at a loss for the once-Zero Doll,
but did Cammy give up? Not a chance. Drawing herself up into a weak sit, Cammy
brings her legs beneath herself and pushes herself up into a stand... albiet not
a very sturdy stand. A single staggering step was taken to the left, and then
another to the right, Cammy finally pausing as she finishes gathering her
strength, narrowed, determined eyes watching Chun-Li, and clenched fists slowly
rising in front of herself as she concentrates, and prepares.

      For what?

Cammy wasn't quite sure yet herself.

COMBATSYS: Cammy focuses on her next action.

Gathering herself from the safety of the ground, her ribbons still settling
around her shoulders from the billowing flight they were just given, Chun-Li
watches Cammy through eyes that are now beginning to glaze over with weariness.
Regardless of the hits she has taken.. solely the effort in maintaining such a
long bout with so many interesting gambits is slowly taking its toll.
Consequently, the world's strongest woman also needs time to prepare. Regulating
her breathing first, she then focuses upon the very central point of her being,
easing her inner sanctum through mental caresses. The once Doll still stands,
and this is not over.

"Just like I remembered," Chun-Li comments with a thoughtless abandon as she
rises to her feet. Not heartless or intending to cause pain, she just.. doesn't
consider the oddness of her words, and actually graces Cammy with a small, warm
smile to punctuate them. "Though this time, we'll finish this." Giving a deep
nod of respect and tightening her own fists in determination, the beauty lifts
raises her guard and steadies herself for whatever plan the schoolgirl might
have formulated. "Come to me."

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li focuses on her next action.

Cammy's first response to Chun-Li's prompting is a slight and further
narrowing of her eyes, the brilliantly blue gaze of the girl becoming thin. And
then Cammy shifts her stance, left foot going back, and right foot going just a
little bit forward, before the girl nods to Chun-Li, ignoring the small stream
of blood that was leaking from her nose. Ducking her torso for a moment, Cammy
takes a single step forward, and then another, faster step, Cammy's pace going
faster and faster until it reaches a run. And when Cammy nears Chun-Li, she
falls into a deep crouch, before leaping up off of the ground, the once-Doll
leaning forward as she rises to flip over Chun-Li's body... and if things went
well, as Cammy flies above Chun-Li's head, she snatches out her hands for the
shoulders of her dress, Cammy's grip then tightening there as she attempts to
use that grip to swing over and behind the Chinese woman, Cammy ending that
swing of sorts with her feet slamming into the back of Chun-Li's knees.
Hopefully.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Cammy's Medium Throw.

Chun-Li swallows as Cammy begins her approach, position shifting just slightly
to re-affirm her boots' grip upon the floor. The girl's intent seems to be
fairly clear up until she suddenly drops into that crouch, and when this comes
the older woman mirrors the motion - bending at the knees herself and lowering
her guard just enough to open herself up to further options without endangering
her defences too harshly. Then, the Tai Chi mistress blinks and begins to turn
to the side on seeing the sudden upward momentum employed by her opponent. A
twist of her form is enough to ensure a grip is not taken, but with Cammy still
overhead she launches herself into a tight backflip. Spinning into a ball before
unfolding directly before the still-moving Zero Doll, Chun-Li attempts to
reverse her own momentum and slam forward into the girl... bracing a hand to
either side and then executing an aerial bodylslam. "YA!" Throwing her full
weight into the technique, she aims to send her foe plummeting into an unruly
drop while she can push herself back and land upon her rapidly tiring feet.

COMBATSYS: Cammy dodges Chun-Li's Ryuusei Raku.

The grasping hands of Chun-Li were batted aside, Cammy completing her
forward flip to land lightly upon her feet. Cammy's head... was swimming, and
with each passing moment, it seemed that darkness kept threatening to steal more
and more of her vision... but... Cammy was fighting on. As long as she had a
chance, by golly, she was going to continue fighting! Urging her tired feet
onwards, Cammy takes two quick steps forward, only then twisting her head and
body so that her side was facing Chun-Li, with the attention of her eyes upon
the falling Chinawoman. And with that, Cammy releases a determined hiss, and
snaps up a foot, hoping to strike Chun-Li in the back or front as she falls.

COMBATSYS: Cammy successfully hits Chun-Li with Light Kick.

Chun-Li          1/---====/=======|====---\-------\0            Cammy

Landing at a rather ungainly stumble after being knocked aside whilst aflight,
Chun-Li is easy pickings for the kick that comes in. The rather distracting hiss
doesn't help either - causing the woman to blink sidelong at Cammy an instant
before that quick kick slams into her back. Staggering and falling onto her
knees a couple of feet away, she looks up at the ex-Doll with lips parted as she
draws in breath. "You're very talented..." she murmurs indistinctly, shutting
her eyes briefly, "But... I think I have this." A slight smile twitches up one
side of her mouth, a hand goes to the floor and-

Fwoosh. Suddenly the Strongest Woman in the World is gone from view, leaving
behind a blurred after-image and a rushing passage of air, the flicker of
ribbons and heavier skirts being the only sign that she must still be present
somewhere. Should Cammy focus quickly enough she'll find the threat is now
placed directly behind, Chun-Li fading into view from her burst of speed with a
determined gaze and one leg lifted; her entire weight placed on the other.
Before much else can be done, she gives a violent twist of her form and tosses
the raised leg out in a powerful kick aimed for Cammy's midsection. If and when
that strikes?

"HOUYOKU SEN!" The strike is followed by a demolishing flurry of near-identical
kicks, aimed up and down the length of the girl's fine figure. All the blows are
aimed to land upon her left side, the reason only becoming apparent when Chun-Li
once more blurs from view to spin fully around, switching legs and lashing out
another combination assault with the other. This time bursts of blue-white chi
begin to ripple up her muscular limb, and the energy all but /explodes/ outward
once the final motion blur signals the end of her most powerful - and newest -
attack. Swaying around and inward to land directly within Cammy's guard, the
Chinese woman rears back to aim the mother of all thrust kicks at her prone
chin!

COMBATSYS: Cammy fails to counter Houyoku Sen from Chun-Li with Cannon Revenge.
COMBATSYS: Cammy can no longer fight.

Cammy couldn't quite help the near-maniac grin of joy that springs up unto
her lips. Her first... solid hit the entire fight. Dropping her foot from that
kick, Cammy awkwardly spreads her feet into a bit of a wider stance, that grin
not slipping from her lips as she lifts her fists up to prepare for whatever
reprisal. "Naw, you're just..." Cammy says, pausing as Chun-Li seems to vanish
from her front, but there was a flash of warning behind her, Cammy whipping
around, and lifting her right foot from the ground in a feeble, last-ditch sort
of kick. "...TOO BLOODY SLOW!"

But unfortunately for Cammy, it was not Chun-Li that was too slow. In
spite of Cammy's attempts to the otherwise, the first foot catches Cammy in the
side, the grin fading with a gasp at the new flash of pain... and thankfully
enough, the pain begins to dull about midway through the flurry, the once-Doll's
body reacting more limply to each successive strike... there was no guard by the
time Chun-Li finishes her combo, the final thrust kick nonetheless snapping the
schoolgirl's head backwards, her beret finally losing whatever cohesion it had
with her head as Cammy ascends upwards and back outside of her own volition...
the little hat flying off to flutter down to the ground below. Cammy joined it
soon after, the thouroughly beaten and unconcious girl landing flat upon her
back, one arm draped over her front. At least she was still breathing!

Chun-Li holds her position, leg thrust into the air long enough for Cammy to hit
the ground, and the subsequent hubbub from the Pacific High students to subside.
Unfolding from her most powerful technique once peace reigns, the young woman
straightens up before making her rather weaving path over toward the fallen
Doll. Crouching down beside the girl, she smiles as she removes the earned
medal. But her good-natured expression is exactly that, and not something
fuelled by victory. Wearing as she is - and aware of the original purpose to her
visit - the Strongest Woman in the World smiles a smile for the schoolgirl lying
unconscious beside her.

"You fought very well, Cammy... though I'm glad it was different this time,"
Speaking quietly - that is, not for the school students and not for the hidden
Kanzuki Corp cameraman cunningly concealed amongst them. Chun-Li reaches out to
brush some hair from Cammy's face before reaching for the nearby beret and
nestling it safely under the girl's covering arm. Kneeling there for a moment
after doing this, the Tai Chi mistress seems to reach some other conclusion and
gives a frown, standing to move over to Cammy's dropped backpack.

Undisturbed - for obvious reasons - by the American teens all around, she
returns a few moments later with a borrowed pen and a sheet of writing paper,
squatting down to write a note which she subsequently leaves in the same
convenient location as the beret. Standing for the last time she sighs wearily,
sparing one last glance down at the Zero Doll... and then? It's onward through
the small audience with but a soft instruction to the boy who led her here,
instruction to the effect of 'sort Cammy out with whatever she needs', and even
further onward to home.

It's been an unusual day.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li has ended the fight here.
