Harbor
The center of Southtown's rich importing and exporting trade--as well as
the Syndicate's far wealthier arms dealing and drug trafficking business--the
harbor consists of a series of piers, docks, and warehouses, all filling the
area to the brim with activity at almost all hours of the night. At any given
time, large cargo ships are coming in and out, and the entire zone is
perpetually busy with men loading and unloading the ships. As of late, a war
between organized crime factions has likewise made the harbor into something
of a warzone, with outbreaks of violence an almost weekly occurence.

[Exits :
  • Lisa's Office, West to Downtown, South to Sound Beach, and to Pacific Ocean ] The Harbor is a lovely place here at Southtown! All harbors are lovely! Dark, dreary, run down to a degree and crawling with crime. Southtown's harbor has something that no other harbors in the world has today, Sagat. The Muay Thai Tiger is in the area, seating quietly on a crate that's set near the water. Off in the distance, several blocks away, the one-eyed man can see some illegal loading and unloading of goods to and from a small boat. Some would consider there little to be 'lovely' about criminal activity, let alone the kind that ultimately leads to murder and destruction on both sides. And none have proved as apt at ruining lives as the drug giants Shadaloo... their competitors tend to be considerably less direct in their actions, and thus they have fewer known enemies on the scale of Vega's organisation. It is no coincidence that one of those enemies is not far away now, though nowhere to be found on the harbour. An anonymous tipoff has led this opposing force to investigate the docks today, and by all appearances she will not leave disappointed. She? Indeed. No ordinary officer of the law however, no detective or policewoman, but the one renowned as Strongest Woman in the World. Approaching the harbour in a speedboat piloted by a Vigilante partner, with two more sitting in back and travelling armed, Chun-Li's keen gaze slights first on the shipment - and then, upon Sagat. "Take me in, droop me off there! The three of /you/ need to stop that vessel before it can leave. I'll be with you as soon as I can." Crying out her orders over the howl of the ocean, she doesn't go unheard, attaining nods of assent from the stoic soldiers she travels with. It's not much longer before her mode of transport shoots in along the point inhabited by the Muay Thai God, passing him in a tight arc to quickly turn around back toward the offending unmarked ship. The little speedboat's burden is unloaded in a graceful leap, Chun-Li slapping a hand to the outside of the boat and launching herself out to land on her feet in front of Sagat. "We meet again!" Her words coming with the raising of a firearm, the barrel is pointed directly at the man's forehead, where it wavers a moment before being turned to one side - slowly both hands shifting out away from the Chinese beauty's body. "I'm sorry it had to be like this, Sagat. At one time, I honestly believed you were an honourable man." Dropping down low, she deposits the high-calibre pistol upon the hard concrete, then rising to her feet with a slightly sad smile. It is scarcely echoed in her eyes, as they veil over with hard determination, in tandem with the raising of her guard, spiked bracelets clinking lightly. "I'd like that faith to be restored. Please, walk away." Sagat hardly looks to be the honorable and proud individual he once was. He's sitting on the crate, head downcast and feet resting against the side of the crate. The man looks almost sad himself. The Muay Thai God slowly lifts his head up and sends his one-eyed gaze towards Chun-Li. A brow raises a bit and then a glance to the side to look towards the gang of thugs doing their magic by the boat. He shrugs his shoulders and looks back to the Strongest Woman in the World, "Why does everyone feel the need to remind me of what I once was?" He asks as he places his palms on the edge of the crate. His fingers tighten on the sides of it and he slips off the crate. Naturally the emotions within Sagat do not go unnoticed - all the woman looks for is a sign that she does not have to fight him as an enemy. That the man unleashed by Ryu's killing intent is a phase, a brief madness that will pass, causing a reversion to the titanic fighter of old; one renowned not only for his strength and ferocity, but for his purity of spirit. The sight of his own inner turmoil is not encouraging, it seems too obvious which self has the stronger will, and causes Chun-Li to frown deeply. Shifting in her stance, she barely resists giving a shake of her head... she /knows/ he can be what he was, she glimpsed it long ago across the field of battle. There is little she can do, though, beyond the simple request. "I speak only for myself, Sagat. And I only express the sorrow a warrior experiences when seeing her fallen brethren... it's not too late. Few know your attachment to Shadaloo. Many stil respect you as I once did - as the world once did. If we must test each other's skills, I would rather be tested by the emperor of Muay Thai..." Tailing off she takes a deep breath, sinking lower onto those powerful legs, poising her elegant frame on raised heels. "Not the lapdog of Lord Vega." That word. So fuelled with hate and desire, it brings a flash of intent to Chun-Li's eyes, an intensity only increased by her focus upon the mighty giant before her. Though Sagat is much taller than Chun-Li, with his head downcast the way it is, he still has to cut his eye upwards to look towards the woman. That eye narrows a bit and his jaw draws a little tighter together at some of the words she states to him. The Muay Thai Legend grumbles, "The Emperor of Muay Thai..." he utters slowly, "Is King." The Tiger utters, "I've not been the Emperor for some time." About as long as Sagat has been involved with Vega and his band of merry and not so merry men. He lifts his head up, "And I am certainly no lapdog to Vega." He spits out with venom. She hit a nerve, "Did you come here to lecture me?" He casts another glance towards the group of thugs off in the distance unloading and loading their illicit goods. There is a deep nod from the woman, slow and purposeful, as Sagat enlights upon the recently crowned empress. The Chinese beauty is aware of whom she inherited that title from, aware of the history the prestigious name carries even if she holds no personal vested interest in Muay Thai as an art form. All Chun-Li cares about, is that the man before her is so much more than either of these contenders - his pupil, and an upstart tomboy from Southtown. Both very skilled in their own right, but nothing, not a speck, upon the archetypal warrior looming before her. "No, Sagat." Keeping her eyes locked steady on his, the reply to Sagat's question comes the instant he stops speaking, one side of Chun-Li's mouth flicking upward in a sardonic smile. "I did not come to lecture you. I would be here no matter who Vega had placed to oversee this," a glance goes off to one side, a slight motion of her hand indicating that space further along the dockside. Fingers curling back to tensed positions, she meets those dark eyes once more. "The fact that I found you.. it saddens me, and thrills me. I've come to stop you, Sagat, and you have a choice." Breathing a light sigh between her lips, the world's strongest woman shifts a hand to point down toward the gun lying beside her. "My purpose can be that it was intended to be, to take down a subordinate of Vega. Or we can consider that finished, and you can face me as the man I believed you to be." Breathing in deeply, chest heaving, her gaze burrows deeply, looking for further sign that she has had some effect, praying it is for the best. An eyebrow curls upward in query, "Which is it to be?" COMBATSYS: Chun-Li has started a fight here. COMBATSYS: Sagat has joined the fight here. The Muay Thai Legend shakes his head, almost saddly at this turn of events. The man takes off his ever-present leather overcoat and tosses it on top of the crate he was seated on earlier. He lets out a sigh and looks towards Chun-Li, "So we're clear. I am no fan of what's going on over there. However..." He pauses, "... I can not let you stop it. So for our sakes, I hope you are strong enough." The big man kicks off his boots, which fly and land uncerimoniously off to the side. The Tiger tilts his head to one side to stretch the tendons of his neck. Unfortunately for Sagat, no matter what choice he makes he's only going to further hurt himself. Vega's not forgiving, especially of his most vocal Lieutenant. The Tiger launches forward towards the Strongest Woman in the World, starting off this fight in hopes he can end it quickly. He launches into a series of swift kicks towards the woman's side and legs. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Sagat's Light Kick. Perhaps not an unexpected answer, but one that stirs a deep regret in Chun-Li's soul. She did not truly believe that she could make all the difference in one fell swoop, leaping from a speeding boat to bring deliverance and rebirth the mighty Muay Thai God. Hope is too powerful to be quelled, however, and the flame burning in her intent is snuffed as her opponent makes his opening moves, keen eyes not leaving his single optic as he dispenses with the trappings of undercover work. Could such a man truly be undercover? The thought brings a slight burst of amusement, as something that the young Chinese woman works against also, but it is fleeting indeed, in a situation that neither warrants nor encourages levity. "So be it," Chun-Li murmurs quietly, mentally reassuring herself that this is the only way such an encounter could have progressed There is no failure here... and there can be no failings in the fight to come. How better to prove the truth in her words than to give this massive man a battle on par with any in his past. "You should be find me strong enough - I won't hold back." As she speaks the last, he is rushing toward her, the force of his travelling frame seeming almost to shift the concrete underfoot. Such power. There is only one way to meet a rush like that, a single method of countering a brutal strength on this level. Evasion. Speed. Grace. With an expulsion of breath, the world's strongest woman spins around the first of many strikes aimed her way, skirts flapping out and licking against Sagat's foot as she passes him by. Completing her motion in a perfect flow, Chun-Li emerges at the side of her opponent, barely two paces away with her expression now set in absolute focus. This will not be so simple as recent encounters. "SOU!" The kiai to her next movement comes sharply from her lips, synchronised with a smooth forward momentum, leading with her right leg and bending forth over it - both hands extending to catch her foe with a powerful double thrust from collected palms. COMBATSYS: Sagat blocks Chun-Li's Sou Hakkei. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ///////////////////////////// ] Sagat 0/-------/-------|-------\-------\0 Chun-Li The massive man raises his arms up to block the instant he feels nothing impact against his lashing out legs. He knows it's only a matter of time before the rather agile Chun-Li will direct an assault his way. His tense muscles recived the inevitable impact rather well. They weather the initial assault and allow the Thai Fighter to spin aroun dna dmove away from any follow up attacks. The Tiger moves forward again and closer once distance had been made. He doesn't believe in offering much time to think on a next manuever. As he pushes forward he states, "Please do not hold back." He requests evenly. A scowl forms on his face as he comes in for another strike, this time with both arms and legs. Several kicks are sent towards Chun-Li's lower legs, but the more devestating assault comes from a follow-up elbow strike, hoping his legs create a distraction and make Chun-Li think the assault is focused on her lower body. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li blocks Sagat's Medium Punch. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > /////////////////////////// ] Sagat 0/-------/------=|=------\-------\0 Chun-Li "Hmph." Chun-Li's lips twitch in another half-smile as her solid assault meets a rigid guard. With the thoughts that have preoccupied her regarding Sagat, it borders on the unbelievable that they have never clashed in this manner before.. though she has had the pleasure of one of his attacks. Something she intends to avoid experiencing again, and so even while she staggers back from the shove of his arms, she's not aiming to throw herself aside from the follow-up - simply ensuring her legs are firmly rooted to the ground, booted feet firmly set. Then her arms are about her upper body, bearing open-palmed hands that hover as she steps backward, gently and easily evading the flurry of attacks from down low, in preparation for that vicious elbow strike. It's stopped with the application of both hands, one forming a grip on Sagat's upper arm and the other stopping the blow an inch from her face. "If I held back, I wouldn't last a moment. We know each other's abilities well enough, I think." Voice coming somewhat distant, a little emotionless, the meaning is lost in her manner yet can be detected with a little thought... she can only assume the big warrior has studied her as closely as she has studied him, from a distance with knowledge of a fated battle. Someday. Likely neither would have believed it to be today, but as she releases his tensed elbow and drops down low, ducking under his guard with a roll of her shoulder, there can be doubt that this is the moment of truth. "HYAAA!" Moving forward in a sudden thrusting movement, her aim is to plow a vicious right knee up into the kickboxer's stomach, buckling him over enough that she can flow out from beneath him, using the hand still gripping his bicep to drag him in a frontal slam to the floor. Releasing the man, she can then hop backward and gather herself at her very edge of the harbourside, assuming a defensive stance and breathing steadily. This first round alone has affirmed every assumption she had made - this will be a true test. COMBATSYS: Sagat dodges Chun-Li's Strong Throw. The Mighty Tiger listens to this as his assault is being blocked and deflected by the smaller woman. He tenses his body up and springs backwards, releasing the woman's grip on him and avoiding, all together, the setup for Chun-Li's next manuver against him. He stands there, once on the ground, in his fighting stance. The Thai Kickboxer grunts towards Chun-Li, "Not holding back does not mean you will last any longer than usual against me. Many who have faced me have not held back. They fell at my feet quickly enough." The Tiger rushes forward and is about to pounce again. As he runs, a foot is slammed against the ground and the large man is thrown airborne. His legs are tucked underneath him, "TIGER-" he shouts as he is hurled towards Chun-Li, "CRUSH!" his patented flying knee attack. Don't ask for the patent number... COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Sagat's Tiger Crush. Chun-Li at least achieves one thing from her failed gambit - she succeeds in making distance with her much larger opponent, only too aware that to allow him too much control in proximity will open her up to all the savagery that Muay Thai fighters come endowed with. Many have discovered what the master of that style can achieve, and this is something highlighted by Sagat himself a moment later, his young foe offering a slight nod of understanding - her gaze dipping downward for long enough to watch his subsequent tensed leap. With no reply to his words, nothing to offer and no time to offer it, she waits an instant more before cutting into an imposssibly tight forward flip, ribbons and skirts fluttering around her as she falls down behind the flying Emperor. "YA!" There is no time wasted, not a chance for him to set down after the expected contact with her form. A leg is thrown up in a kick directly between his shoulder blades, enough to stagger him certainly.. but the real attack follows afterward, her limb blazing into a hundred, flickering in strobelike fashion as a round of strikes is aimed for the full height of Sagat's solid body. Kick after kick, punctuated with continued cries like the first. "YA! YA! YA! YA!" COMBATSYS: Sagat blocks Chun-Li's Hyakuretsu Kyaku. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ////////////////////////// ] Sagat 0/-------/-----==|==-----\-------\0 Chun-Li The Muay Thai God raises his defenses upon landing... again not feeling the satisfying crush of a person's body underneath one of his assaults cuases an automatic defensive reaction in the large man. Upon landing, his arms and leg are raised. All of his muscles tense for an attack that is surely to greet him a moment after landing. Chun-Li fails to disappoint as her multiple kicks meet the defense that Sagat quickly brought up to bare. Each kick slamming into his muscles and pushing him back ever so slightly. The attack from Chun-Li feels like jackhammers being utilized against his arms. He'll certainly be bruised later. Sagat's feet swiftly bring him back and out of the reach of the World's Strongest Woman. That safety is given up a moment later when he leaps into the air and towards Chun once more. He aims to deliver a swift flying kick to try and knock her off balance. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Sagat's Light Kick. Another solid defence, raised with a speed belied by Sagat's sheer size - perhaps a manner of grace best referred to as 'efficiency', and he certainly is that. Machine-like, with all the power and durability that entails, a mountain given agility and motion. But every mountain has a weak point, and all Chun-Li must do is discover that single weakness and cause an avalanche. She is determined to do so, taken beyond a mere desire to stop this drug trafficking and steer harm away from her allies, but now enthused in the very flow of battle with the man she has long desired to do battle with... perhaps she cannot redeem him, but she can fight him to the last breath. Pulling away from her lighting barrage of kicks, the Chinese beauty has no desire to lose her rhythm at this stage, watching with an analytical eye as Sagat launches himself up and toward her, following the motion of his leg in snapping out at head height. Even though such a blow likely does nothing to tire the man, the effect of such strikes would take a slow toll upon her - that much is obvious - and as such, she does not allow it near her, dropping to a low Tai Chi stance, arms circling out to either side, legs bent to bring her body impossibly close to the ground. It saves her from harm, and allows her to shift in a perfect flood back up to her feet on the other side of her opponent. "You're faster than many give you credit for... few speak of your grace, only your power. My congratulations." Though spoken cold and hard, the words are not intended in anything but the highest of respect, their delivery only stunted as the last due to an intense concentration upon the fight. When they are done, Chun-Li breaks into a dash forward, closing quickly on her foe to veer aside at the last moment, spinning herself to his flank and only then bringing up a devastating left leg, muscles bunched to slam into the man's gut. "Hee-YAH!" COMBATSYS: Sagat blocks Chun-Li's Strong Kick. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ////////////////////////// ] Sagat 0/-------/-----==|==-----\-------\0 Chun-Li Again, the mountain of a man does not feel the satisfying collapse of his opponent underneath another of his assaults. Chun-Li's a quick one. Quick to dodge. Quick to attack. So Sagat has to be double-sure that he pulls his defenses back up after landing. He responds as he raises an arm to block the incoming assault, "Thank you, however I need not your congratulations." The Tiger utilizes his free arm and attempts to grab the woman by the offending leg. The Muay Thai Master hopes to spin around with that leg in tow and hurl Chun-Li to the ground with a quick, simple and efficient throw. COMBATSYS: Sagat successfully hits Chun-Li with Quick Throw. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > /////////////////////// ] Sagat 0/-------/----===|====---\-------\0 Chun-Li Crunch. The kick was enough to crush the bones of lesser men, and here it is met only with the industrial strength endurance of the Muay Thai God. Chun-Li frowns just a touch, aware that she is failing to discover the weakness here, and also aware that her leg is now being gripped in a similar reversal to one she employed earlier - this one she is not prepared to avoid however, having got too confident with that last strike, she finds herself pitched to the floor in a tumbling roll, only getting her shoulder in after she has bounced once from the concrete. The sting runs through her upper body, but is not enough to perturb her, the woman rolling back up with a sharp intake of breath. "Damn." A rare curse word from the Strongest Woman in the World, breathed out on instinct, expressing her disappointment in herself, that she is the first fighter to relent here. There is no sign of giving up however; the opposite may be true, her eyes slitting as she glances quickly to upward, then back to Sagat, rising to her feet and then directly into a sprint forward. Dropping low, she aims to once more infiltrate his personal space, this time bringing up her right arm in an uppercutting palm thrust to the chin. Should this strike with full force, she springs back and follows with a quick double-handed shove, getting deep into Sagat's gut with intent to send the man stumbling back. "Hyah! ...Sa!" COMBATSYS: Sagat endures Chun-Li's Fierce Punch. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > /////////////////////// ] Sagat 0/-------/--=====|=====--\-------\0 Chun-Li After the thrown the Muay Thai Legend does not stick around to watch Chun-Li fall. No, he's on the move and he's moving quickly. When Chun-Li offers up her two-handed shove, it's not met with a soft underbelly. The Legend's midsection gives very little, Chun has struck a moving wall in the form of Sagat. Sagat endures the strike and keeps on moving forward; The exact opposite of what Chun-Li was hoping for. Since the two of them are close together still, Sagat reaches out to grab Chun-Li. If the Tiger is successful in grappling, he will begin to plow his powerful knees into the woman's face and midsection... many times. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li blocks Sagat's Tiger Rage. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ///////////////////// ] Sagat 0/-------/-======|======-\-------\0 Chun-Li Chun-Li's eyes widen as her hands sink into flesh, a mental siren blaring the instant that the realisation occurs. Sagat is only too prepared for her attack, rolling with the first strike and tensing himself unusually for the second - she can feel that the damage is done, but barely escapes disorientation when her palms are suddennly travelling back toward her, when the gigantic form of her opponent is moving in to encompass her entire view. "Ngh!" Tensing herself in turn, she gets her arms aside just in time to lift both hands in front of her face, weathering the strikes to her midsection by rolling tensed muscles against each, gentle movements of her form keeping the damage from being too hefty. It's the subsequent attacks to the face that threaten her most, and when they come... She is prepared. "No!" Speaking the single world with firm vigour, stating her intention to avoid harm almost as a reassurance to herself, her curled fingers grip the rising knee and throw it aside to the left, the woman then imitating Sagat's own motions in pushing herself /into/ him. Though in quite a different fashion. Her right leg lifts to find purchase on his stomach, before she leaps off the floor, bringing the opposite limb up to use the big man's chest as leverage for a backflip - flying away from him to land in a tight crouch a short distance away, ribbons and skirts settling down slowly. The catch? She put quite a bit of force behind the 'backflip'. If the rightful Muay Thai Emperor failed to see her ploy coming, he may find himself going in the opposite direction to his foe, with quite the pair of bruises to show for it. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li successfully hits Sagat with Medium Kick. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ///////////////////// ] Sagat 1/-------/=======|=======\-------\0 Chun-Li The Muay Thai Legend does fail to see Chun-Li's ploy and Sagat falls to his first real mistake of this little 'encounter' besides actually getting involved in it. The Thai man hits the ground hard, sliding on his back a few feet before using that momentum to roll back up onto his feet. Sagat wanted to feel Chun-Li buckle and fall beneath each strike of his knee and he ends up being the one falling after that bit of exchange. No matter. The man is back on his feet in a moment. He aims to close the gap between him and Chun-Li. It only takes a few strides from his long legs to accomplish this feat. When he's up close and personal again, he starts off with a combination of moves again. A solid kick towards the woman's side is followed up by a couple of punches and ending with an upwards elbow strike. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li endures Sagat's Jab Punch. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ////////////////// ] Sagat 1/-------/=======|=======\-------\1 Chun-Li Chun-Li watches Sagat's approach from where she crouches, one hand's fingers tickling the floor between her legs, the other hanging at her side with fingers curling in preparation. As the powerful man nears, his good eye may have cause to notice a few fronds of blue-white chi travelling in slow rivulets about the Chinese beauty's pale digits. "Come to me, Sagat..." she whispers, only audible to herself, eyes narrowing a fraction of a moment before she rises to her feet, assuming no guard of any sort, only shifting her left hand to join the right in its motions at her side, fingers on each now twitching spasmodically. But the motions are more controlled than they appear - and though the woman is nailed by each lightweight strike, twisting and turning with the succession of blows. ...much like her own palm thrust, each seems to be absorbed only too well, and a slight smile lingers on Chun-Li's lips, oblivious to the painful assault on her body. "I'm ready." She speaks clearly when the attack is over, lifting her eyes to meet the one-eyed gaze of her foe. "Kaaaaa-" The cry builds low on her lips, working up in pitch and volume for a moment that hangs in the air, before her hands are suddenly thrust forward, blazing outward with a tornado of energy. The scintillating orb of power is hammered deeply under the Muay Thai God's guard, almost planted into his chest by the time its full force is realised, each spin trailing massive whiplashes of pale blue around the two combatants. Only one will feel the burn though, the crippling warmth of the woman's innermost abilities. "KOOOUSHOU!" Many times the orb hammers around, pistonlike for all its pleasant aesthetic, the woman on its end continuing to keep it moving with masterful motions from her hands. When the attack finishes, it will sling Sagat away with the final rotation, leaving the ex-Interpol agent to recover slowly, lowering her arms and taking deep, focusing breaths. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li successfully hits Sagat with Kikoushou. [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ////////////////// ] Sagat 1/---====/=======|-------\-------\0 Chun-Li The mighty Muay Thai Fighter finds himself absorbing a large amount of chi energy right in his gut. He also finds his feet have somehow been lifted up off the ground. A few moments later Sagat will find himself on the ground, halfway into a box. What happened is that Chun-Li's pointblank Kikoushou threw him backwards and made him crash through one of the crates that happened to be on this part of the harbor. Thankfully, not the one his overcoat happened to be residing on. Sagat would hate to have to find his overcoat in the rubble later. Sagat mutters to himself as he slowly pushes himself up. The Legend spits off to the side, a little bit of blood mixed in there with the usual contents of spit. Sagat stands back up and narrows his eye at the woman. Sagat isn't going to back down... the alternative would be to face Vega's wrath. And his wrath will be far easier to manage if he loses the old fashioned way and not if he backs down. So the Tiger launches himself back towards the woman. It's quite a distance to close, but Sagat makes good time in filling the gap. The big man tries to overwhelm the girl with his speed and size. Sagat reaches to grab the girl. This time if he's successful in doing this, he will twist at the hip and hurl her over his shoulder and towards the ground. Hey... maybe she'll hit a crate too! COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Sagat's Tiger Carry. Chun-Li's recovery is as slow as stated, her limits pushed each time she unleashes that overkill blast of chi. Looking downward on hearing the mighty crash of Sagat's flight, her eyes close for just a moment - the woman taking this time to collect her thoughts, recentre her being and ensure she does not lose the rhythm of battle once it progresses. By the time she hears the Emperor hawk off to one side, she is looking up and determined as ever, shifting her footing just slightly beneath her and raising her hands to mount defensive satellites around her torso. "Your resolve is admirable," the young woman states quietly to her charging opponent; no hard tone to her voice this time, no edge to the sound. Apparently her attacks are starting to wear upon her.. though the lull will be momentary indeed, rhythm found with swift expertise as she demonstrates. Sidestepping the attempted grab, she swings herself around in two quick steps, coming up just behind Sagat with one white-booted foot darting forward to position itself in front of him. The intent should be obvious, but the speed with which the trip comes is quick enough to balance this - both hands clapping to the big man's back to subsequently slam him forward as the woman leans in. "HA!" Darting back whether or not she is successful, Chun-Li holds herself in a low stance this time, gaze keen and bright, lips lightly parted to ease her breathing. Adrenaline threatens to take hold at this stage, and she cannot allow that to happen - not against the Muay Thai God. COMBATSYS: Sagat dodges Chun-Li's Quick Throw. It's obvious that this happens to be a tough fight for the Thai Kickboxer, even his impressive stamina is starting to buckle due to the duration and the amount he's putting into toppling this opponent. However his fatigue is not enough to keep the man from continuing to be surprisingly nimble for a guy his size. When Sagat fails to grapple onto his opponent he quickly side steps, and pushes against the ground to throw himself airborne once again. He hits the ground a couple of yards away from Chun-Li with his hands behind his back. Sagat yells something unintelligible as he thrusts his arms forward ahead of him. As they are thrown forward his forearms erupt into flames as chi is gathered for his next attack. When his fists collide a crescent of flaming chi is hurled towards his opponent. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li slows Tiger Shot from Sagat with Thrown Object. [ \\\\\\\\\\\ < > //////////////// ] Sagat 1/---====/=======|==-----\-------\0 Chun-Li ...behind! Chun-Li's eyes widen even as she dances away from her opponent, despite her failure to connect, the motion planned and thus instinctive by the time it comes. Realising he has made it away from her, the realisation of just how that came to pass dawns a moment later. With a slight gasp the world's strongest woman wheels around, gaze narrowing and intensifying once more, upon the blaze of energy erupting from the huge man before her. Something she has seen in the past, and isn't sure she can overcome with her own power, so she breaks into a backflip, her lithe form erupting into motion directly in front of the blast, and gaining enough distance that by the time she comes around there is time for action. "Ki-" Her hands swinging to her hip, the Chinese beauty begins to focus her energies, pale blue strands licking out from her palms, but she realises in that same second that this is a hopeless motion - the warmth of the attack she has just felt is far too much for her to overcome. Acting in blind desperation, she grasps for something upon the floor, finding her abandoned handgun, and brings it up in a perfect flood of action. Her finger closes on the trigger, and a shot sounds; the bullet whistling into Sagat's Tiger Shot and almost dissipating it entirely. ...until the last, when with a miniature sonic boom her fired projectile implodes, totally fragmented by the chi blast, which reforms itself and rockets on to splash across the woman's body. Only her raised arms prevent the full force, but at least they /do/ prevent it. "Powerful..." she breathes, lowering her guard and rising enough off the ground that she can prepare for what next comes her way. After the Tiger Shot is released, the Tiger himself does not stand idly by to watch it's fight against Chun-Li's counter-assault. No. He is off running towards the Strongest Woman in the World. The fatigued Muay Thai Master isn't going to sit there and rest... nor give the woman a chance to rest after his flaming crescant impacted her. He keeps the offensive going in an attempt to overwhelm and overcome this talented opponent. Sagat growls, "TIGER-" he leaps into the air to perform a Tiger Crush. Whether this hits or misses is of no concern to Sagat, as he immediately follows it with a couple of punches and a Tiger Uppercut, "-GENOCIDE!" he shouts as he finishes it off with a much stronger Tiger Uppercut. COMBATSYS: Sagat successfully hits Chun-Li with Tiger Genocide. [ \\\\\\\\\\\ < > ///// ] Sagat 0/-------/------=|=======\=------\1 Chun-Li Though there would see me to be scant preparations to be made. Chun-Li's eyes track Sagat as he launches into another of those fast rising knees - something she has now both evaded and been upon the receiving end of, the former having revealed itself to be far more preferable. So with a swift expulsion of breath she rises and begins to spin around the blow... a sharp pang of pain informing her that this attempt has failed, and though she might be able to turn away with it, recover herself in some small way, the flurry that follows lays into her with unbelievable force. Suddenly everything Sagat is reputed to be, finds its way into her body, wrecking and destroying what lies outside and spreadings its pain internally. But the Strongest Woman in the World will not be denied so easily, and once that uppercut is busily tearing its way between her breasts she reaches a conclusion. To fall as quickly as possible. Twisting herself into the impact, and then abruptly away from it, she ends up in a hasty backflip, lauched back toward the ground by quick thinking and even quicker action. "HAZAN!" Screaming before her foot even alights, she twists her body and springs back off the floor, opposite leg thrusting upward in an attempt to impale the falling Sagat before he can get back to earth. "TENSHOU!" Should the blow strike there's an explosion of chi energy, and the Chinese beauty pivots around to deliver a second identical kick from the other leg. "KYAKU!" Each subsequent blow is delivered in much the same way, a total somewhere near a dozen struck upon the burly Muay Thai master with each of them rising further into the air with each successive strike. If the last connects, it will be especially potent - designed to launch him away off the edge of the harbourside. And Chun-Li? She's hurt, ravaged by the Genocide, but if the opening can be found.. she may well be able to make an escape without further injury. COMBATSYS: Chun-Li can no longer fight. COMBATSYS: Sagat just-defends Chun-Li's Hazan Tenshou Kyaku EX! [ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\ <| Sagat 0/-------/------=| It seems the Muay Thai Legend has found renewed vigor in this fight against Chun-Li. Sagat seems to have dipped into some inner reserve of energy as he's moving more fluidly and much more quicker than he was before the Tiger Genocide combination was delivered to Chun-Li. Ahh... there are those satisfying crunches and crushes that Sagat has been waiting to feel this fight. Sagat has been waiting to feel unhindered blows against his foe. It's so satisfying. When the last Tiger Uppercut has landed and Sagat has finally touched down against the ground, he's ready to fight! The Muay Thai God has raised his defenses again. His arms are raised and his legs move in such a way as to try to move around the blows as they strike against his tensed arms. When all is said and done, the mighty Thai seems to have evaded taking much damage. But the kick goes wide, ripping through the air over Sagat's head, that burst of energy doing nothing save for dissipating in a harmless puff. Rising with the momentum none the less, Chun-Li's gaze flickers downward to pinpoint her opponent, and with a twist of her body she spins down to alight in a crouch a short distance from him. Her hands go to the hard ground, giving the woman the light boost she needs to get up from her feet... but then, a sigh breaks past her lips, she dips down lower into her crouch, and her eyes all but close - lids descending halfway. "Enough." It's barely audible, but audible all the same, coming out somewhat ragged with the damaged beauty's breath. Her heart is pounding in her chest, blood rushing through her veins fast enough to dizzy her before she even attempts motion, and all in all the Chinese avenger cannot continue - the famed Tiger Genocide has seen to that. "You're truly as strong as they say... no wonder Ryu did what he did..." There is no violent intensity in her words, merely an understanding of how the ambitious World Warrior must have felt to be crushed so brutally by such a mighty warrior as Sagat. Hanging her head, the Strongest Woman in the World swallows back a throatful of iron, mentally focusing everything on maintaining both consciousness and clarity. By all logical definition, the man before her is an enemy... try as she might to sway that, it remains true, and she cannot allow herself to be finished by his hand. "My allies.. and your master's men.. they will have finished, I think. I ask that you not interfere if they have not. Sagat..." she pauses, looking up and lifting her hands to press upon her thighs, aiding her solidarity. "I mean to defeat Vega. You know this. There's no reason why we should be at war, too... you know the extent of his madness. Why do you continue to defend him?" The Muay Thai legend turns away from Chun-Li, and passes a glance towards the thugs that are being rounded up by Chun-Li's allies. He could easily go over and crush the opposition and save his Shadaloo 'comrades' but he does not. He actually does as Chun-Li requests and not interfere. The Thai man gets what he wants this way. The thugs are removed from Shadaloo and the shipment of illicit goods gets confiscated. Sagat also will not have to endure the wrath of his 'Lord' as he defeated Chun-Li, but in that victory he was distracted enough to not be able to save Vega's men. The Tiger smirks a bit and grunts back in response to the World's Strongest Woman, "I was just sitting here on a crate." he begins, "I was not defending Vega, I was overseeing his operations. Thank you for your interference." He gets the pleasure of reporting this loss to Vega now. Sagat then states, "'Lord' Vega is a formidble opponent. Keep that in mind." The word Lord obviously has a sarcastic tone to it when the Tiger utters it. Sagat moves towards the crate where he left his overcoat. He grabs it and moves to his boots. With his garments in tow, the Tiger walks away... allowing the Vigilantes to do their work. COMBATSYS: Sagat has ended the fight here.
