Characters: Chun-Li, Sagat

Thailand
Tropical in climate, Thailand is covered in jungles, but is still quite
populated. The only city really capable of standing on a level with other
global metropolii is Bangkok, the capital. On a yearly basis, the monsoon
makes Thailand a rainy place to be, always coming in the summer months...but
without it, the nation would wither and die.

Thailand, as of late, is a center of criminal and government activity.
Rumours point to the presence of a mysterious military group calling an
unknown location in Thailand as their base of operations, and many have come
from all around the world seeking this...'Shadaloo'.

It has not been all that long since Chun-Li last encountered the massive Emperor
of Muay Thai. Their last meeting left her with renewed hope in the man's sense
of honour, but still a hangover of doubt that would not let her entirely believe
the job has been done. On another level, the Chinese beauty was left with much
doubt in her own abilities - fighting the man down to what seemed a healthy
advantage only to be destroyed with that most devastating of physical
techniques. Certainly not an embarassment, but worthy of triggering a challenge
from the woman once she discovered Sagat's participation in the Masters Neo
League. How better to face him on common ground, with no troubling emotion to
shroud their battling forms?

With this aim in mind, the world's strongest woman now sits in an unmarked
military helicopter en route to a forest clearing in Thailand, a place deemed
'dramatic and exciting' by the competition officials and one Chun-Li herself is
not overly loathe toward. Perhaps in his native environment, she will be able to
glimpse the powerful warrior of old, free from corruption and sinister
overtones. Everything has been set up already in preparation for the fighters,
and Chun-Li can already see the makeshift arena nestled amongst the ruins of an
old temple, various smartly dressed types shifting around at the perimeter and
directing their small crew of cameramen. She draws in a deep breath.

No hesitation. No regret. Only the fight awaits her. The Tai Chi mistress stands
while her mode of transport begins its spiral downward, passing a small nod and
a smile to the Vigilante opposite, who moves to roll back the hatchway and toss
out a bundled rope ladder. Every encounter she has had with Sagat has seen her
play the action heroine role... why break with tradition? So by the time she
sets down, it's to drop from the chaotic winds onto the central stage itself,
landing in a light four-point crouch with brown eyes scanning her immediate
surroundings. "Sagat! Prepare yourself."

Sliding to her feet and into her stance, Chun-Li takes in a deep breath,
ignoring the billowing of her skirts as the Vigilantes turn up and away
overhead. There will be no interference, there will be no mention of Shadaloo or
of Sagat's injustice. She allows a smile to flicker on her lips. This one is not
personal.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li has started a fight here.
COMBATSYS: Sagat has joined the fight here.

The former Emperor of Muay Thai was notified of the place of battle, and has
made sure he was here early. The massive mountain of a man is decked out for a
fight. A pair of white trunks, with a red stripe running down the leg, are worn
by the man. His shins, ankls and heels are wrapped tightly, as usual. The big
man's powerful forearms, wrists and hands are also wrapped tightly. The scarred
and weathered man just stands there, arms crossed over his chest while he
watches the helicoptor descend. When Chun-Li exits, Sagat grunts and raises his
head slightly. When the World's Strongest Woman speaks, another grunt exits
Sagat's throat. Sagat shifts himself into a fighting stance. He slides his feet
so that he's resting his weight on the balls of his feet and his arms are
uncrossed and held rather comfortably in front of him. When the Tai Chi mistress
seems ready, the Tiger launches into an offensive. He's getting right down to
it. He wishes to close the gap between them and launch into a series of short,
powerful side elbow strikes.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li endures Sagat's Jab Punch!

[\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > /////////////////////////// ]
Sagat 0/-------/-------|=------\-------\0 Chun-Li

He is here already, as expected. Chun-Li knows the titanic kickboxer is no less
the warrior she is, beneath all that has occurred. How better to bring that out
than to issue such a direct challenge? No nonsense. Which is exactly his
approach, and though the smile dies upon the beauty's lips it is certainly not
gone from inside... this is what she desired. "HA!" Launching herself back into
a quick one-two step, arms crossing over one another to prepare for the first of
Sagat's strikes, she does in fact to catch the initial jab, only at the last
moment dropping her guard and letting those subsequent pepper her torso.

"Ngh." Letting her tensed form relax slightly, the assassin's pupil wastes no
time in using the gained momentum to her advantage, so effectively weathering
the last of her opponent's blows that she seems to move in a flash, rearing up
upon her left leg and delivering a quick strike with the right - direct to the
big man's chest. Should this stagger him as she hopes, the subsequent barrage
from a blurred limb will scatter light kicks down the full length of his form,
from head to ankles. What better way to bust open that sturdy defence?

"YA! YA! YA! YA! YA!"

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li successfully hits Sagat with Hyakuretsu Kyaku.

[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ////////////////////////// ]
Sagat            0/-------/-----==|==-----\-------\0          Chun-Li

Sagat did not want to talk, did not want to bantor on and on with Chun-Li. Lucky
for the Tiger, Chun-Li's not here for that. Still... the Tiger does not want her
to even get the notion or have the time to begin talking to him. The Muay Thai
God just wants to fight. He just wants to let out some pent up anger and
aggression. Though it's funny. Some of the anger and aggression began the last
time these two warriors faced one another. Sagat still has his mind on a lot of
things Chun-Li said to him and some things echoed by Ryu. So though Chun-Li may
be fighting without the emotions of their last encounter, Sagat could not claim
the same thing.
The Mighty Muay Thai Tiger launched himself into an offensive and felt the
satisfying smash of a person underneath his attack. That's good... but he did
not expect it to be a knock out blow, and expected the usually light-footed Tai
Chi Mistress to counter-assault quickly. And she does. As the 'YA! YA! YA!'s are
uttered, Sagat tries to raise his defense! However she is too quick footed for
him and Sagat gets battered by the blurred limb. Sagat steps backwards a few
steps, trying to recover from the assault. The recovery time is quick and the
Muay Thai God launches forward again. He leaps up into the air, "TIGER CRUSH!"
He shouts as he reaches the top of his ascent. He rockets forward towards
Chun-Li, Knee thrust forward!

Charlie has arrived.

COMBATSYS: Sagat successfully hits Chun-Li with Tiger Crush.
- Power hit! -

Sagat            0/-------/---====|======-\-------\0          Chun-Li

The recovery time /is/ quick. Far quicker than she'd planned after working the
man's body over so effectively, and despite a sudden whoosh of motion Chun-Li is
not quick enough, failing to spin around the incoming knee and finding herself
impaled upon it, mouth contorting in a grimace of pain as breath rushes in a
snort through her nose. "No." No? Could she be detecting a hint of that anger
toward her on looking up to meet the Muay Thai God's gaze, or is it simply that
she will not let herself fall so easily against Sagat? That blow had behind it a
great deal of force, more even than she would usually associate with the large
warrior... but no matter.

Before she has even been blown away to hit the floor, the hands of the Strongest
Woman in the World are reaching out to fasten a grip past that extended knee,
onto the sides of her opponent. Fingers dig deep for a grasp and with her own
incredibly burst of effort she then allows herself to fall backward, /hauling/
on the brutish kickboxer whilst kicking up her left leg to offer an extra burst
of propulsion. "HYAAAH!" Punctuating the throw with a kiai once her back makes
sharp contact with the floor, the aim is to hurl Sagat away in a manner he may
well be accustomed to...

It's a technique borrowed from his nemesis, after all.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li successfully hits Sagat with Medium Throw.

Sagat            0/-------/=======|=======\-------\0          Chun-Li

Sagat's patented Tiger Crush, one of his favored manuevers is both quick and
effective. The Muay Thai God loves to utilize it as a means of catching his
opponent off guard and as a means of knocking them backwards. It seems to have
been quite effective against Chun-Li. The Tiger lands and would quickly raise
his defenses, but it would appear the Tai Chi Mistress has a grasp on the large
man. The Tiger is caught off guard and his balance is interrupted. The Mighty
Thai is pulled forward and hefted backwards. Sagat would recognize this throwing
technique, if he cared to analyze it. He hits the ground and rolls. He ends up
in a kneeling position and facing Chun-Li. He brings himself back up into a
standing position and rushes towards Chun once again. He's not going to keep the
distance between them far for very long. He leaps into the air and performs a
flying kick towards her head. When he lands, he hopes to follow it up with a
kick towards her shin and a swift knee to the midsection!

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li blocks Sagat's Light Kick.

Sagat            0/-------/=======|=======\-------\1          Chun-Li

Sagat will find himself with no chance to land for the moment. As the woman
rolls up to her feet, snapping immediately into a defensive position with a
triumphant cry, her eyes burning brightly toward the fallen Muay Thai master,
she is already preparing herself for a very sudden strike from the air. He's
used a similar manuever before and it's a wise one; but on this occasion Chun-Li
sees it coming a mile away, and she takes a darting step forward before going
into a twisting leap-hop to meet the massive man.

Grunting softly as the first kick is weathered into her midsection, impacting
against hardened muscles wrapped beneath tight bandages, the Strongest Woman in
the World is already turning against its momentum to force the limb away and
press herself into the torso of Sagat. "YA!!" Exclaiming her intent loudly once
it's being acted upon, she aims to get a hand to either side and execute a harsh
aerial bodyslam, pitching the one-time Emperor back to the floor with a
thunderous impact.

All mountains can be toppled, you just need to discover how. Once the motions
are made - successful or not - Chun-Li will drop to a crouch upon the ground,
taking in measured breaths and giving herself a careful once-over. She knows
only too well how hard this opponent can strike... she needs to be prepared for
whatever may come.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li successfully hits Sagat with Ryuusei Raku.

Sagat            1/----===/=======|=======\==-----\1          Chun-Li

Impact once again. Sagat feels his lower limbs strike the Tai Chi Mistress. It
feels good, but it's not good enough. There's more resistance there than he had
hoped for. This throws up a warning in Sagat's experienced mind that an attack
will come at him with much haste. It comes with more haste than the Muay Thai
God anticipated. Sagat is grasped and hurled to the ground, hard. He lands, back
against the ground. It's a nice sounding thump that the mountain of a man makes.
He's down on the ground for a moment, without making a move. Usually he springs
right back up, with unnatural vigor, but this time he lays there for a moment. A
smirk playsa cross his face as he rolls backwards and back onto his feet. Once
on his feet he's kneeling again, but only for a moment. After that moment
passes, Sagat's on his feet and running towards Chun-Li. He hopes to reach out
and grasp the World's Strongest Woman. If he's successful in getting his
powerful mitts on the woman, he will launch into a series of punishing knees to
her midsection!

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Sagat's Tiger Rage.

Breathe, focus, concentrate. Kneeling opposite Sagat, this is all Chun-Li can do
while she watches him recover - to storm in too quickly on the heels of that
takedown would lead her into an unimaginable world of potential pain, but to get
overly confident and rise with intent of countering whatever the man can throw?
Perhaps too risky. So the Chinese beauty waits, staring hard into Sagat's eyes
even as she slowly rises to meet his incoming assault. Should she stay or should
she go? There can be only one reply.

Spinning into a pirouette, skirts and ribbons billowed to wild flapping, the
world's strongest woman slips past Sagat's questing hands, feeling the calloused
fingers brush past her upper arm - so close does she cut the evasion. But it's
well made, and she places herself in a perfect position to dance back once she
is positioned on the flank of her opponent. Hands drawing back to her hip with
graceful ease, those pale fingers curl deftly around an imaginary globe, teasing
the air until pale fronds of blue-white appear, licking about as though tasting
the very atmosphere.

"Ki-" Breathe in. Chun-Li lifts her forearms slightly, as a golden pinpoint
flares to life, immediately shrouded by the chaotic cerulean strands. Breathe
out. "KOUKEN!" Bending at the waist, the woman thrusts her upper body forward
behind her arms, extending palms open toward Sagat to pitch the lightning quick
projectile toward him. There may well have been time for the burly fighter to
recover, but this is a focused assault - the spiral in its path ill conductive
to any easy form of retaliation or evasive motion.

COMBATSYS: Sagat blocks Chun-Li's Kikou Ken EX.

[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ////////////////// ]
Sagat            1/---====/=======|=======\==-----\1          Chun-Li

Adrenaline is pumping, and the Tiger is putting a lot into this fight. He knows
he needs to, Chun-Li is not someone you should toy around with. She did not gain
the title of the World's Strongest Woman for no reason. The Muay Thai God
understands this and is putting a lot of power into his blows trying to whittle
her down quickly and effectively before she's able to do the same for him. A
mountain can topple, and Chun-Li possesses the skills and power to do such a
thing. Sagat does not grasp Chun-Li and doesn't get the pleasure of driving his
knees up into her midsection a couple of times. Oh. Well. Unfortunately for
Sagat, Chun-Li evading this stirke leaves the weathered warrior all but open to
her next counter-attack. And that counter-attack comes in the form of Chun-Li's
Kikou Ken! Sagat hears her and quickly pulls his arms up to cross in front of
him. When the chi ball comes at him, his hardened muscles block and deflect most
of the searing pain and damage from the attack. Sagat grunts and then runs
towards Chun-Li, not wasting any time! He hopes it takes a moment for her to
recover from lobbing that last assault. So after a few steps, he launches a
punch towards her gut with his left hand and if successful and she doubles over
a bit, Sagat will follow it up with a rising upward swinging Elbow strike with
his opposite arm!

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Sagat's Medium Punch.

Chun-Li gives a faint nod of approval on watching the masterful kickboxer raise
his beyond-sturdy guard to take the force of her energy projectile. There's
little more he could have done aside from take the full brunt of the blast - and
his wisdom in battle is one reason for both her excitement now, and her
disappointment generally. Sagat is no mere fly-by-night, but a warrior in the
truest sense. Or once he was. Now she remains uncertain to the core, though this
speechless war of bodies and wills is standing testament to all the hop within
her soul. There are greater things on her mind than mere ponderance then, and
the Tai Chi mistress is prepared once more as that gut-crunching blow soars in.
Already back in her stance, it is a simple matter to flow with the first impact
of the punch, stepping back and to the side...

Only to fasten a grasp upon the extended limb. If there is one thing the
powerful female has noticed in the large man, it is how hard he falls. Her kicks
have great effect, but when toppled he is thrown off his game; rattled. So with
a grip hopefully found with both hands - one at the wrist, one near the elbow,
Chun-Li twists her right shoulder downward sharply, aiming to stagger the man
forward into his own momentum. This is only the beginning.

COMBATSYS: Sagat blocks Chun-Li's Medium Throw.

Hmmm. Again, nothing but air! The Muay Thai God's well timed assaults against
the Tai Chi Mistress meet only wind resistance! That's too bad for the Tiger, as
again it leaves him quite open for some more punishment. The Muay Thai God can
not keep doing this. He needs to land a solid blow against the World's Strongest
Woman in order to win, she's not going to just tire herself out and drop to the
ground. One could hope, but that's never going to happen. Sagat's mind races as
Chun-Li grabs ahold of him, "NO!" utters the man, finally saying something other
than a technique's name. His arms reach down as he's being tugged, and breaks
her hold on him. He spins around and launches a kick towards Chun-Li,
"TIGERRRRR-" He screams as he launches into another series of knee strikes and
kicks. A slight hesitation is made after the series of kicks, as chi manifests
itself into flames around the man's massive legs. He swings that leg towards
Chun-Li and thrusts forward, "-RAAAAID!" A manuever fueled by anger and
frustration over the Tai Chi Mistress's ability to evade so often.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li interrupts Tiger Raid from Sagat with Houyoku Sen.

'Find the weak point, cause the avalanche.'

The mantra had been hot upon the woman's lips when she made her grapple upon the
massive Emperor of Muay Thai, and to find that hold broken is a little
disconcerting. She'd been so sure the fight had been in her hands - so certain
that she could carry on toppling the man against his own brutal fury. Just like
her master taught her.. she had discovered his weak point, caused a repeated
tumbling of a man she would never have believed herself capable of defeating
even months before this point. A warrior she approached incognito to avoid a
confrontation with. Now she discovers why, as her arms are thrown away and a
monstrous kick plows into her torso, almost bursting through to her heart with
its force.

Chun-Li hurtles back, a desperate cry of pure incoherence breaking forth through
parted lips, eyes wide and pulse racing with realisation of just what is coming
next. Tiger. Genocide? Raid? It doesn't matter. It could end her in a moment.
The Chinese beauty's mind works to flood her with memories as she watches the
flurry of kicks moving to impact her at essential points, the sensations missing
in a flurry of recollection. Falling at Vega's hand, twice, Sagat standing over
her for a moment after cheating her of what felt a sure vengeance... a third
time with a different lieutenant present. Balrog tearing her open, baring her
organs to the world. Everything Shadaloo has done, and suddenly; an even
weightier realisation that Sagat is /not/ them. Why should she fear him? Why
should she allow herself to be crushed like this?

"Yes." It's pronounced in a word, cold and hard, the woman's eyes filling with
renewed light as she watches the Muay Thai through a haze of pain. Her body is
damaged certainly, yet she is not finished. Flames surround his final finishing
kick, but they are met with a flame of his foe's own. An inner flame. Hands rise
to clasp that incoming leg, ignorant of the burning chi around Sagat's foot as
it is gripped and nullified. Casting it down with cool abandon, the Strongest
Woman in the World steps inside his guard. It is time to face him, truly, as a
warrior.

"HOUYOKU SEEEEEN!" Her cry bursts loud and clear with the first round of
lightning fast kicks, a dozen blurs of speed pinpointing points across that
mountainous form, sending it staggering back before her eyes. Chun-Li is far
from finished. Spinning about on her point of balance, she switches legs to
drill her surprised opponent with another similar burst of strikes, then
rotating one last time even as chi surrounds her, blue-white ripples coursing in
electric waves about her corded muscles. Bending low before rearing up, she all
but destroys Sagat's mighty jaw with a single, perfect thrust kick... propelling
him heavenward as she recovers below...

Sagat had meant for Chun-Li to crumble underneath his assault. Most people
tended to do so. Sagat wanted the Tai Chi Mistress to simply fall before his
mighty kicks. I mean, it is the cool thing to do. But Noooooo. The World's
Strongest Woman would not give Sagat that satisfaction. Instead she had to
unexpectantly interrupt his series of strikes, keeping him from putting the most
power he could behind the attack. Chun-Li's counter-attack during his manuever
puts the big man on the ground and clutching his jaw. He actually, comically,
skids across the ground on his rear end a foot or so. Putting a rather unfitting
cap to Chun-Li's little bit of drama there. The Mighty Tiger hops back onto his
feet, a bit worse for wear than he was only moments ago. Sagat lowers his head a
bit and clenches his pained and aching jaw. The man's teeth are grinding against
one another as the Tiger seems to be quite angered, "TIGER CRUSH!" He shouts
quickly. The man launches into the attack even quicker than he can say it, an
ability derived from years of practicing the manuever.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li dodges Sagat's Tiger Crush.

The battle is not yet won. It takes some moments for Chun-Li to reach that
conclusion, her body and mind focused so intently upon that last crushing strike
to the jaw... not every man is so easy to fell. Perhaps none are so difficult to
fell as Sagat - she has never felt such resistance to her blows, with only
possible exception in one or two others. Here though, she knows her all is being
given as in the last meeting; everything the Muay Thai Emperor accomplishes is
that much greater as a result. But likely this reciprocates, and thus she has no
room to ease off in the slightest. Setting her raised foot back to the ground
with a quick inrush of breath, the woman turns to face the next assault coming
her way, and barely reacts in time.

"Huh!" Surprised enough that the exclamation comes totally unbidden, far from a
punctuation to any attack, from a kiai to any blow she might have in mind,
Chun-Li is barely quick enough to get away with a force of effort, leaping to
one side and spinning her body about to face Sagat. Riding the air with more of
that uncanny grace, composing herself in an instant after being caught off-guard
so suddenly, she is quick to shift herself into an aerial strike - left leg
snapping out in a quick blow aimed across the shoulders of her burly opponent.

It may not do a great deal, but perhaps it can at least stagger him to the
ground. At this stage the Tai Chi mistress needs every opening she can possibly
obtain.. care is needed, along with every last nuance of her training.

COMBATSYS: Sagat just-defends Chun-Li's Light Kick!

Sagat            1/-------/=======|===----\-------\0          Chun-Li

The last time this attack was utilized, Sagat found it quite effective... and
usually it is. The Tiger Crush tends to be an equalizer for the Muay Thai God.
Tends to send people sprawling... tends to stop their momentum in its tracks. It
does not happen this time. The swiftness and power put into the attack is all
for nothing, as the World's Strongest Woman manages to swiftly evade him once
again. Sagat does not feel soft flesh getting crushed by his flying knee, and
another alarm is throw in Sagat's mind. A lot was put into that attack. He turns
around and sees Chun-Li coming after him again. He kneels down slightly and
raises his defenses up. As the kick comes he rolls to the side and is back on
his feet. The damage was glancing, and the big man leaps up with increased
resolve to take down the Mistress of Tai Chi. He timed his actions to coincide
with her landing. So upon hitting the ground she will be met with a series of
rather familiar strikes, "TIGERRRR-" starts the big man as he begins with a
sweeping kick, followed by another series of knee strikes and kicks. The big man
spins around, firey chi engulfing his leg once more and he sweeps that leg
forward, "RAAAAID!" That leg is thrust towards Chun-Li once more. Though was
this the appropriate move for the Master of Muay Thai to make? Having already
experienced it today, would Chun-Li not be better prepared to evade it once
more? Perhaps this is a move fueled by anger and not through clarity of thought.

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li blocks Sagat's Tiger Raid.

Sagat            0/-------/-------|=====--\-------\0          Chun-Li

Familiar indeed, and with all the resolve gathered from her previous barrage of
kicks Chun-Li lands upon her feet to meet Sagat's own devastating surge for a
second time. Guard raised, the first blow strikes only prepared palms, open to
deflect the blow to one side and allow the woman to step back before what
follows; each smaller strike met with a parry or a countering backhand to knock
it aside. Granted, the power of the Muay Thai God is such that the woman can
feel each shock shuddering through her frame and by the end of the assault she
has taken plenty of damage already - but she's still standing, and this is what
counts most of all. Enough that for his final flaming kick she is prepared to
cut high into a somersault, twisting around Sagat's blazing form to land deftly
behind him.

"Ha... ha... ha..." Breath coming in sharp seethes, the Strongest Woman in the
World starts forward immediately, at a brisk trot that carries her well up to
her opponent by the time he can turn to face her. At the last step before impact
she suddenly sways to one side, dropping low in a sweeping kick to the ankles -
fast and strong enough to take the man off his feet, before with a grunt she
hops up off the floor, thrusting herself forward with a burst of chi
instinctively rolling off her shoulders - all the propulsion she needs to /slam/
herself into the man's side and pitch him into the dirt with the application of
both hands. "YAAAAAA!"

Sagat            0/-------/----===|======-\-------\0          Chun-Li

This is it! The Mighty Thai Warrior put a lot of energy into that final Tiger
Raid. He was not expecting Chun-Li's defenses to remain firm against the
devestating kicks that he produces for that manuever. When Chun-Li flips, Sagat
is slow to turn around. As he turns around, he tenses his legs. He hits the
ground hard when the Tai Chi Mistress grabs him and shoves him to the ground. A
loud thud and a grunt is heard, but the Tiger rolls back up. He looks dazed, and
he's running on pure adrenaline now. The Muay Thai Emperor launches up into the
air, fist first, "TIGERRRR UPPERRRRCUT!" He shouts, though he sounds very
strained when he utilizes this manuever. He's drawing from a pool of energy
within him that's buried real far down. This is all that Sagat has left, and
it's visible on the big man's frame. When the special move concludes, he will
falter... he will fall.

COMBATSYS: Sagat can no longer fight.

Chun-Li          0/-------/---====|

Hurling a man like Sagat down when you are running on tenacious resolution, and
when you lack one and a half feet in height, is no small accomplishment. Neither
does it take any lack of effort, and Chun-Li takes a moment to recover as she
hops away in the opposite direction after her bodyslam. Landing in a slight
stagger upon her white-booted feet, the Vigilante allows herself a moment to
recover - but it is a moment she doesn't have, and Sagat's roar tells her this
even before the powerful uppercut smashes upward between her breasts, to nail
her hand upon the chin. Carried up full twelve feet by the blow, the Strongest
Woman in the World hangs there for a moment, framed in the sunlight.

And then, she crashes down to the floor, bouncing twice off her shoulders before
coming to a halt, hands splayed out on the ground to either side, head resting
beside a low wall of crumbled stone. Still conscious, but barely. It takes
everything she has to rise to a crouch half a minute later, mindless of the
puzzled officials who stand around - wondering if she has any last attack left
in her. It's not over until one or both fighters are over, is it? Though the
weave in her stride and the haze in her gaze tells anyone with a reasonable
level of insight that Chun-Li should be out for the count. However. There's
something she needs to do.

Coming to a halt beside the fallen Emperor of Muay Thai, he who poses such a
strong contendershup for Chun-Li's opposing title, she looks down at him for the
space of a few heartbeats, taking in a long, deep breath. Then, she offers forth
a small smile, extending a braceleted wrist bearing an open-palmed hand, fingers
out in offer of a warrior's grasp. "That... that was a good match, Sagat. Can
you stand?" There is nothing condescending in her tone, no sign of the
bitterness she bears for the man's chosen path... it's disturbingly similar to
the World Warrior tournament of years past... will the outcome be the same?

COMBATSYS: Chun-Li takes no action.
COMBATSYS: Chun-Li can no longer fight.

The Tiger fell after that last attempt. He felt releived that he managed to land
the Uppercut against the World's Strongest Woman. When she wobbles over to him,
he just looks up at her, one eye narrowed. He just nods in reply to what she
said. His large hand reaching to grasp his. The once honorable warrior does not
take this opportunity and pull a Ryu, he merely accepts the assistance and
stands up, "I can." He mutters upon ascending into a standing position. His
other hand is brought up to his face and his jaw is rubbed, "It was a pleasure."
He offers his opinion of the fight to her.

Relieved? Perhaps. Perhaps not. There is nothing that shows in Chun-Li's
demeanour as she helps her titanic opponent to his feet - withdrawing her hand
then and reaching up to idly tighten the ribbons binding her hair. Her smile
widens a little as her gruffly affirms the same opinion she holds... regardless
of their differences, it was an intense and exciting battle. One the fans will
be sure to enjoy, but far more than that? One the dangerous beauty both needed
and found pleasure in. She'll not tarry long though, as whether or not either
fighter likes it they /will/ meet again under less savoury circumstances. So it
is written.

Regardless, Chun-Li's hands lower to come together at her breast, and as she
takes a step back from the master of Muay Thai she bows at the waist, bending
low to offer him the most sincere and respectful gesture she knows. Simple and
common, but in this case the sentiment is perhaps more true than it has been on
all subsequent occasions. Never before has she faced an enemy to come out on
good terms, hesitant as she would to think of Sagat in such a manner. "I'd say
the same, Sagat. Thank you for agreeing to face me... perhaps it will not be for
the last time," her voice quietens a little toward the end, as her gaze lifts to
meet his, two eyes meeting one with so much hidden meaning projected in the
brief stare.

When it is broken, it is for the Tai Chi mistress to rise to her full height and
turn away upon her heel, hands falling limply to her side. She is fatigued,
bruised and a little confused by the outcome today. But only the former shows at
the present time, her paces slow and lacking their usual grace as Chun-Li walks
away from Shadaloo's most powerful elite. One last word is offered, along with a
glance behind before she disappears behind bustling fight officials. "Farewell."

Sagat simply bows his head in response to Chun-Li's bow to him. The big man
takes a few slow steps backwards to increase the distance between them. He does
not say much, he just looks at her for a moment. He turns around at about the
time she starts her retreat, "Indeed. Until next time." The Legend mutters as he
walks away and begins to tighten the wrappings around his wrists. Sagat isn't
pleased with the outcome of the fight, as he always prefers to win. However
there's a certain satisfaction he recieved from the fight between he and
Chun-Li. Perhaps it's just that thrill of the fight. Something he has not
experienced much since he lost his title. It was good to fight like this he
concludes.
