FEATS

Inherent Level 1: Run

As she grew up, Lea frequently was put into competition with her siblings, her friends, her classmates, her co-workers… Although she came to accept that she couldn’t beat them at everything, by golly, she’d beat them at running. What started out as a competition has now turned into a way for her to keep up with Shadow and Ava, and enjoy the wilderness…

When running, move five times your normal speed (if wearing medium, light, or no armor and carrying no more than a medium load) or four times your speed (if wearing heavy armor or carrying a heavy load). If you make a jump after a running start, you gain a +4 bonus on your Jump check. While running, you retain your Dexterity bonus to AC.

Inherent Level 3: Lightning Reflexes

Once she began seriously working for the Yarovan, Lea found that the ability to dodge things was important indeed – whether they were folders Will threw at her, or raider fireballs…

+2 to Reflex saves.

Inherent Level 6: Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Pistols and Small Arms)

Upon her assignment to Whittyre, Lea was immediately trained in the use of these strange weapons, which are similar to slings, but use a small explosion to propell their projectile. She prefers the one handed versions, which are smaller, easily concealable, and easier to carry, aim, and fire. Plus, they might actually leave a target alive for questioning.

May use pistols and similar small firearms without penalty.

Inherent Level 9: Point Blank Shot (Firearms)

Since guns gave her superiority at range over all other weapons – except heavy guns, and she wasn’t going to deal with those anyways – Lea has spent time honing her skills in the precision use of pistols in close quarters. Why, she could even shoot a pistol out of someone’s hand before they tried to shoot themselves!

+1 to attack and damage rolls with firearms against targets within 30 feet.

Armor/Items

Bracers of Armor +4

Part of Lea’s utility kit from the Yarovan Trading Company, these enchanted bracers look very tasteful on her arms, and protect her far more than it would appear.

+4 armor bonus to AC.

Cloak of Resistance +1

Owned by Lea. She thought it might be useful.

+1 resistance bonus to saves.

Gloves of Dexterity +4

These gloves were a personal present to Lea from her father and mother, to help her get a hand up on the competition. They are skintight, nearly invisible, and highly useful.

+4 enhancement bonus to Dexterity.

Wand of Dispel Magic

Part of Lea’s utility kit from the Yarovan. Technically company property. Special in that it can be used by anyone, not only spellcasters; it is not clear how this is possible.

Casts Dispel Magic at caster level 20 (+10 bonus to Dispel check). 20 charges remain.

Amulet of Nondetection

Another part of Lea’s Yarovan utility kit, this small, round amulet has no discernable features upon it. As it should.

Wearer is under the benefits of a continual Nondetection spell. If a divination spell is attempted against the wearer, the caster of the divination must succeed on a caster level check (1d20 + caster level) against a DC of 19.

Dust of Appearance

Yet another handy item Lea has; this one belongs to her, after she found it on an unlucky would-be caravan raider.

A single handful of this substance flung into the air coats objects within a 10-foot radius, making them visible even if they are invisible. It likewise negates the effects of blur and displacement. (In this, it works just like the faerie fire spell). The dust also reveals figments, mirror images, and projected images for what they are. A creature coated with the dust takes a –30 penalty on its Hide checks. The dust’s effect lasts for 5 minutes.

Masterwork Healer's Kit

Standard issue healer equipment. Lea isn’t great at using its contents, but bought a good kit anyways… just in case.

Potions: Sneaking (2), Haste (2), Maximized Cure Moderate Wounds (4), Fly (1), True Strike (5)

Most of these are from the Yarovan, but being expendable, were just given to her for use.

CLASS ABILITIES

Ranger

Level 1

Lea grew up with an appreciation for nature mixed with a healthy pragmatism. Although she’s since had to move in the direction of pragmatism, her early days have not left her – and as long as Shadow, Ava, and Hunter are around, they never will.

Animal Companions: Lea has Shadow and Ava as animal companions. Shadow is a male black panther, while Ava is a female white tiger, both statted as normal from the DMG. (She has given up the favored enemy ability for this at 1st level, and the improved capabilities of a normal Ranger companion to have two.)

Track: Lea is able to track things in the wilds using the Survival skill.

Wild Empathy: Lea can empatize with animals, affecting them like Diplomacy checks and getting a feeling for their emotions and desires.

Proficiencies: Lea is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, light armor, and shields.

Rogue

Levels 2-9

Though not particularly strong or smart, Lea was always driven to excell. She studied and trained hard for the Yarovan, and turned out to be much better at the…. less than overt operations of the company, than the actual trading. Her role as a special operative has only made her train harder, and she is capable of many feats of speed that the average person would faint at.

Sneak Attack +4d6: When flanking or denying her opponent their Dex to AC, and within 30 feet, Lea can strike for additional damage.

Trapfinding: Lea can use the Search skill to find advanced traps.

Trap Sense +2: Lea gets +2 on Reflex saves and +2 dodge AC against traps.

Evasion: If she succeeds on a Reflex save to take half damage or effect from something, Lea instead avoids the entire effect. Doesn’t work in medium or heavier armor.

Uncanny Dodge and Improved Uncanny Dodge: Lea is able to dodge many attacks a normal person can’t; she retains her Dex to AC when flat-footed or against invisible attackers, and cannot be flanked unless the flanker has at least 12 levels of Rogue.

 RACIAL ABILITIES

Half-felines are crossbreeds of the humanoid feline races of Amaryllis. Like other crossbreeds, their human portion is usually dominant, but they do retain some effects of their ancestry.

As Medium creatures, half-felines have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.

Half-feline base land speed is 30 feet.

Half-felines possess immunity to Dominate spells and similar magical effects, and a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against mind-affecting spells or effects. As anyone who has spent time with a cat knows, they have an uncanny ability to resist being told what to do.

Heightened Senses: A half-feline can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions. This is equivalent to the Low Light Vision ability. In addition, half-felines receive a +1 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks.

Half-felines receive a racial bonus of +1 to Dexterity.

Automatic Languages: Common.

Favored Class: Any. When determining whether a multiclass half-feline takes an experience point penalty, one of her classes of her choice does not count.
