Historic Bedford Street

We remember being sad that we had to leave.  We had set up very fast internet access, cable TV and several phone numbers at the property.  We had to uninstall everything because we had to go back home to Florida and we were not ready for renters or regular B & B ski groups. We did not leave without having to shovel out during several snow storms.  My brother was here to help, doing not only our area but across the street as well.  We did the neighborly thing and also shoveled out the entrance to High Bedford Street. We kept in touch by telephone.  My brother continued to stay at the property over the winter. We heard of the four foot snow storms and had seen pictures on TV but, it was far away as we worked our regular jobs in Florida. The pipes had a bit of damage over the winter in the duplex but nothing a day's work could not handle when we got back.

We were constantly discovering the beauty of the house...  from the natural wood floors to the hidden garden pathways and the stone patio.. We found drainage pipes, but did not know the reasons for them until the spring...
