    Married in the Philippines
    I met my future wife on the Internet in March 1997.  In July of that year I traveled to a tropical paradise, 
    the Philippine Islands, to meet her and 
    on August 11th I married my exotic Philippine sweetheart, Arlyn Acosta.

    Bringing Arlyn to Canada
    For the next seven months we were frustrated by the Canadian immigration process as we applied for permission for Arlyn to emigrate to Canada. 
    Finally on March 13, 1998 she received her entry visa from the Canadian Embassy in Manila and Arlyn joined me here in North Vancouver on April 17, 1998.
