Broken Bull Rider
He broke his neck in one show
tore his stomach in the next
but pushed himself to ride on
Cause Cowboys never rest.

He gave it his all
lost to much along the way
but in 40 years he can look back
and at least he can say

He had the courage to conqure
to live in total bliss
and the roar of the crowd and the buckle bunnies
isn't anything he'll miss

Pain pulses through him
everytime he moves
but it's a pain he can except
it shows he wouldn't lose

He might sit out for a season
he might sit out next year to
but he'll be a world champion
long before he's through

He lives and breathes rodeo
the dirt sits in his blood
and there isn't much out there
that he'd ever love so much

So he holds on to his dreams
while I hold on to his hand
and as much as I love him
there are things I understand

His mistress she don't love him
not like I do
and when his days are over
I'll be there to help him through

He might be a broken down bullrider
but he still has his pride
and as long as he has that
there ain't nothin' he can't ride

*** There is only one world champion in my eyes, and you won that title all those years ago. I love you forever.***
