If you ever thought that shopping in Tescos Lea Valley London was a great convenient store. THINK AGAIN. Under the management of Michelle Jackson and the dogmatic Tesco customer service plan, you can be sure that every endeavour to block a friendly service is observed. Be warned Tescos do not replace goods no matter how obvious it is to them that you are a genuine customer unless a receipt is produced. As a customer to the store for just under three years my recent experience of this store policy has left me bewildered by such blatant disregard of customers. How often have you been shopping in Tescos and bought something extra when shopping for food? Would you have kept the receipt? Is it feasible that you might bin the receipt because afterall, it is a food shopping receipt? Would you keep a food shopping receipt for 5, 6, 7 months because of one small item on the list of minimal cost? My experience of Tesco (Lee Valley) has been particularly distasteful. Having returned a faulty product to the store I was faced with an inflexible and entrenched Michelle Jackson. My experience was that even though in her position as manager she was able to provide an alternative solution, power hungry, and officious, she was inclined to offer no help whatsoever. Seemingly pleasure was derived from causing distress to customers and she revelled in the authority awarded by her position . Rather than seek a solution where all are happy, she exploited company policy to substantiate her refusal. NOT VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY! I left the store angry and undervalued . This treatment of customers is only allowed because managers like Jackson feel in isolation only a minority of people will know. You get to know the true value of a company by their staff and how they treat customers. If you want to be treated with respect don’t go to their store. If you have similar complaints about Tescos please let me know I would be very happy to publish them. |
