I used a isolation transformer 1:1 to get the voltage for the grid 2 of the tube (it was easier to phase it with the MOT output).
I like to use a dedicated box for each tube. This box contains the fillament transformer, switches, connections and maibe a cooler for the tube. The tube with its dedicated box can be used then in different mountages (a modular type).
The components were just harvested from some other projects....quickly and dirty, but full functional in 1 hour.
The primary was wound in a few minutes (adhesive band rules!!) |
