| The resonant transformer is sitting on a big red plastic bowl. This is the oil bath for my first homemade capacitor, for my first TC. Now it is used only for supporting the TC primary. Near it, on the right side, you can see my fan cooler (the device with yellow cable) and near the cooler is the main spark gap, made from two ignition coil cases. The smaller violet bowl is the oil bath that contains "DICS" (dual ignition coil system), which powers my tesla coil and my Marx generator. Until now it is the most powerfull source I have. Under the small bowl is a wood brown box. That contains the dimmer (220 volts, 1000 watts) and the mains capacitors. I upgraded my source- now I am using a 8 uF total capacity in my DICS system, with no warming from my dimmer or coils. I think it can upgraded more. On the right side, on the cardboard box is my EMMC ( 6 x 6.7 nF, 2000 volts caps in serie = 1.033 nF total capacity). Unfortunately, I can not increase my primary cap because the current from the source is too weak. |
