Some Info on my unimog
The truck is a Mercedes Unimog 404 (German model)
It was originally a snowblower and saw very little use until the time of purchase. Subsquently, the truck only has 8000 miles on it. Due to the age of the truck it is EPA exempt and does not require smog. The truck is about the same size as a longbed pickup, though has a shorter wheelbase and weighs in at around 5900 lbs. The truck has a drop side bed and has a payload capacity of 1 3/4 tons (wow!) The 404 is powered by a straight 6 engine and pretty much has a top speed of 55mph. Gas mileage averages 10-15 mpg on the road. Unimogs have portal axles which give an awesome amount of ground clearance, along with cab-operated locking differentials front and rear. In stock configuration, nothing beats a unimog for off road ability. unimogs also have the option for PTO's to run various equipment including  pumps, and winches (either in the front or rear of the vehicle).  This particular unimog came with softtop that removes in about 10 minutes and has the fold down front windshield. Parts for unimogs are astoundingly low priced compared to newer vehicles!
