GLOOM TWINS LYRICS: A LITTLE DARKNESS Spoken: {Some people like the light; thats all right, but it's not for me, 'cause I'm a darkness man you see...} Some people like sunny days, and warm weather all year round. I prefer rainy days, overcast skies, and a blanket of snow on my ground. Chorus: A little darkness never hurt anyone, and the night is a beautiful thing. When everyone's hiding under their little sheets, that's when I get up and sing! Some people get bummed when it rains, but, for the life of me, I'll never know why. The rain quenches the vegetation's thirst, and washes the filth from the skies Chorus: A little darkness never hurt anyone, and the night is a beautiful thing. When everyone's hiding under their little sheets, that's when I get up and sing! Some people think me odd, and, indeed, I cannot see why. They're just a bunch of silly sods, and I wish they'd all lie down and die! Chorus: A little darkness never hurt anyone, and the night is a beautiful thing. When everyone's hiding under their little sheets, that's when I get up and sing! THE CITY NEVER SLEEPS The city, with its towering edifices, surrounds me, almost drowns me, with its endless waves of smog and pollution. I sometimes find it hard to breathe in the city. The people are alive, and yet, they are dead. They exist, but they do not live. They're like ants, bust little ants, scurrying around from place to place. Always in a hurry, they do not stop to see their lives for what they are. They know not, nor do they even care, about the world they live in, or the people down the street. The city is a lonely place. One is never surrounded by more people than in the city. One is never more alone, than one who lives in the city. The city shakes me, almost breaks me, with it's endless waves of cries and noise. I sometimes find it hard to sleep in the city. But then again, the city never sleeps. |
