The people are alive, and yet, they are dead. They exist, but they do not live. They're like ants, bust little ants, scurrying around from place to place. Always in a hurry, they do not stop to see their lives for what they are. They know not, nor do they even care, about the world they live in, or the people down the street. The city is a lonely place. One is never surrounded by more people than in the city. One is never more alone, than one who lives in the city.
