The Texan Mobile Park is located in the city of McAllen, Texas, heart of the Rio Grande Valley, on Business Highway 83 between Ware Road and 29th St.

The location of our park is ideally situated within walking distance of a Mexican restaurant, convenience store and beauty salon. We have two laundry facilities and are less than a five-minute automobile ride to a large grocery store, Wal-Mart Super Center, the shopping convenience of downtown McAllen, and the beautiful La Plaza Mall. We are seven miles from the International Bridge at Reynosa. It's a ten-minute drive to Dodge Arena, home of the Killer Bees, a minor league hockey team. (Hockey season October to March.) We are a five- to ten-minute drive from many golf courses and country clubs.

The Texan Mobile Park specializes in catering to active, mature adults on our 22-acre facility. We have 175 shaded mobile home spaces and 100 recreational vehicle spaces. All spaces have full hookups on city utilities with patios. We have 12 efficiency apartments with kitchens, fully equipped for housekeeping, as well as 4 units without kitchens. Although small pets are welcome, city ordinances require they be leashed at all times.

Our residents enjoy a wide variety of activities in our two recreational halls, including; potluck suppers, coffee hours, exercise classes, shuffleboard, needlecraft, bridge, whist, euchre, bingo, dances and other planned activities. Special events such as sightseeing tours, hockey trips, golf outings and chartered fishing trips can be arranged upon request. Many of our residents play in a park golf league twice per week and look forward to new players.

We suggest that you make your reservation prior to November 1st. A deposit is required to guarantee your space. Contact the office for details. Rates (some of the lowest in the Valley) can be obtained by calling 956-686-3872, visiting our web site at www.oocities.org/texanmobilepark or by sending e-mail to texanmobilepark@yahoo.com. We thank you for your interest and we hope to be seeing ya'll at the Texan this winter.
