Tactical Battle Re-enactment

A Vietnam tactical battle re-enactment is similar to re-enactments of other eras, such as Civil War, or World War 2, and in fact, many of our participants also re-create other time periods. A typical battle begins Friday evening and lasts until mid-day Sunday. Depending on the event, a re-enactor might find himself manning a remote Fire Support Base, humping the boonies on an extended "Search and Destroy" patrol, or counting enemy bicycles on a LRRP mission. Event organizers strive to provide a scenario that is both historically accurate and challenging to all participants. Authenticity extends to meals and sleeping arrangments, plan on eating C-Rations and sleeping on the ground! The enemy will be elusive and will hit you when you least expect it. A patrol might be 2 hours of boredom, punctuated by 2 minutes of sheer terror! Be prepared to man fighting positions in the Firebase at night, and stand watch in case Mr. Charles comes calling. Participants will endure a small slice of what the Combat Infantryman in Vietnam went through. Keep your weapon clean, and your feet dry!
