1. File your divorce papers through your District Clerk's Office in the county in which you reside in. You will get all the documents that you will need to file at the courthouse from Affordable Texas Divorce.
2. Pay the filing fee (Every County has different filing fees which can start from $50)
3. Notify your Spouse. (If your spouse is missing you will have to notify him/her by one of the two ways mentioned above or if you have a spouse who refuses to sign they will be served with divorce papers.)
4. Attend the divorce hearing (the Judge will sign the Divorce Decree at the hearing). This will finalize your divorce. After the hearing you will be a newly divorced single person. (You'll have to wait 30 days after the Judge has signed the Divorce Decree if you wish to remarry. You may only marry the person you just divorced within the 30 days)
