| Texas, Mike & the HITS essentially began with the birth of Destination: Daybreak in 1999 when mike roberts(guitar*vocals), crossed musical paths with me(mike mccarver*bass*lead vocals) and eric pitman(drums). DD was destroyed in Summer 2002 when it parted ways with two lead vocalists, Jamie Lutz & Ellison Kennedy. Mike, Eric and I pushed forward to form a powerful trio that has surprised even ourselves. We've played with some big name bands in the past but who cares. We don't. We've played with an assload of local bands that are worth mentioning a lot more than bands that have a bus. Although having a bus would be nice. Hmmmmm. So anyway we like to write and play a lot of thrashy punk songs about cannibals, and driving and so on. We're also really in to some non-punkgenre music that plays a big influence on what comes out of a rehearsal. Whatever. You probably don't give a damn anyway. But if you do that is much appreciated. Just listen to the music. If you don't like it. Oh well, I don't like R&B so we're even. We just really try to rock hard and have a fun time entertaining the entertainable.
