TEXASVICTORIAN

VICTORIA REGINA
The bastion of conservatism.
WELCOME
Here's a healthy, sensible, cleancut, articulate, stable, straight-acting, gentle good guy.
A property manager by profession (with previous careers in both legal and title fields), I often have busy, tedious days.
Nevertheless, I'm that proverbial basic homebody at leisure and do enjoy morning coffee, the dog, Sunday NYTimes, Hyacinth and Mrs. Slocombe, and ICQ, but relish dinners out, movies, and "many" of the related activities one might expect to read in a personal ad. Frankly, I speak quite freely and cheerfully
expect you to sincerely return the favor. As Horace rightly observed, "Smooth out with wine the worries of a wrinkled brow." If we can get past the usual introductory e-mails, come view my collections and share a refreshing adult beverage; I'm quite tame.
ON THE TOPIC OF TRUE LOVE
AND GAY DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIP
For over four years, one gentle man devoted to me the ultimate expression of care and concern.
Although we have returned to our separate lives, the recitation of a domestic partner's attributes are forever manifest in him and any attempt to find a successor or substitute is likely impossible. Nevertheless,
here is a link to a discussion of my personal life for anyone who might be so inclined.
For some, the enjoyment of a "Mr. Right Now" is gleefully satisfactory, but for me, that proverbial serial monogamist, the quest for "Mr. Right" is both preferred and right.
- AS REGARDS THE MATTER OF GREAT LOVE -
" 'Tis better to have loved and lost,
Than never to have loved at all. "
[Alfred, Lord Tennyson, Bart., In Memoriam, xxvii.]
"Marriage is the proper remedy. It is the most natural
state of man, and therefore the state in which you are most
likely to find solid happiness."
[Benjamin Franklin]
SOME TIMELESS THOUGHTS
AS MAY RELATE TO GAY EXISTENCE
"Boredom has received, in my opinion, far less attention than it actually deserves."
[Bertrand Russell]
"Beauty is the mystery which enchants us."
[Rollo May]
"The friendship that ends never really began."
[Syrus Publilus]
"Varnish does not change the grain of the wood."
[Charles Dickens]
"Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise."
[Thos. Gray]
"Someone has to fly the flag of finesse."
[Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances]
"... and I am unanimous in this!"
[Mrs. Betty Slocombe in Are You Being Served?]
