The sunset was so pretty that night as we pulled up to the gate at Padre Island. The horizon looked sprayed with reds and yellows, with misty clouds a tint of purple. I reached for your tender soft hand as we slid to and fro in the loose outer sand. Your arm reached under mine and secured my foothold as the journey seemed rough. I felt your soft skin on mine and its nice warmth as the pain in my back grew. I wondered in time if I would not be able to make such a trip.

We stood straight and rested a while as we entered the hard packed sand. Looking at each other like two school children in love for the first time. We both knew what the other felt, there was no need for words. I grasp your hand surrounding it deeply as you took it into yours.

Then we both turned and gazed out over the horizon and the splendor of colors there laid. My arm slipped around your waist as we inched closer to the cool water. We felt a welcomed mist upon our cheeks as the waves hit the shore. You turned towards me then and closed your eyes as the sun settled far in the West. I did the same thinking of how we had longed to fulfill this dream. Our hands holding each others just feeling our hour had come. At last we kissed as waves of love empowered our souls. You moaned softly as my breathing increased steadily.

We kicked off our sandals and left them behind As we stepped out a ways with our hearts intertwined. I felt the waves tugging at my soul, It brought me to think of our first time that we met. How you seemed to tug at my heart, not getting enough. You grabbed my shoulders and brought me even closer. We kissed as the twilight came over us and the moon in the sky. No words were said as we knew we were where we belonged. To be close to her pounding heart, it was what we had longed.

I then whispered with the wind in your ear, Honey, I love you, I do love it here. You smiled at me quietly then uttered, thank you for bringing me here.

We looked once more as the sea gulls filled the air, Reminded me of our love so free. It is so good...I just can't believe life is so dear. I thanked our universe for bringing us together, Two hearts so right and what a miracle unending.
