Hailing from the 'Boot',  this Houston based female rapper is part of a new breed of female rappers from the South. Though the dreams of big rings and bling won't ever die out, the rap game has it's demands. This time around, it seems everyone wants to go back to the media tagged 'gangsta' rap. Producer Bruce "Grim" Rhodes has assembled a team of lyrical murderers who create mayhem and chaos over his signature syrupy, country grammer laced tracks on his debut album, On Top of My Game. As a part of this team, Slay comes across as a broad who's got a problem with everybody.  On the contrary, it seems Slay knows just where her problems are.  On Top of My Game, is a collection of eery tales told over jazzy, southern bass tunes. Slay's skills can  be reckoned with on,  Felonious Conduct, which she wrote, along with her Texodus duo partner and label mate, Afrodijah.  These two females weave an intricate tale of trying to make a mill. They kick in doors, rob banks, take what they make and bail on a First Class flight to Jamaica.  All the while, they never wander far from the songs key point..."if you flaunt it and I want it...I'ma take it", Slay boasts.  The album, due for completion soon,  is the first release on Grim's indie label, Doomsday Entertainment which he started after producing  Lil' Troy's multi-platinum album, Sitting Fat Down South, which included the single, Wanna Be a Baller.  Seems Houston has a new shot caller and her name is Slay.  If you ain't ready, you better get ready...the Storm will come 'weather' you  got cover or not.  When she talks about blades, you better believe she's not talking about rims.
