No garden would be complete without adding those little touches that make your garden unique!

I have been having a lot of fun making and buying things to give my yard a touch of whimsy :-)

The first things I added were an obelisk and sundial. I had these made from metal with a hummingbird theme. It didn't take long for the morning glories to completely cover the sundial!

Metal plays a big part in my gardens. These 2 garden people, Sadie & Fred are put to work :-) Fred holds a bird feeder and Sadie keeps watch over some flowers.

This cart was a faded green so it got a new coat of paint and looks really pretty now! I found some old metal from a hay machine and turned it into a greenhouse in the spring and then planted morning glories around it .

I have always wanted a gazing ball but I wanted something different. This rainbow one is a beauty and sits on an old pipe that I painted. The smaller one is a glass light shade painted with a metallic blue paint. The welcome sign is a piece of driftwood painted with bees and ladybugs.

Little things can be found tucked away in the flower beds. The cup and saucer holds water and bird seed. I have 2 different families of lady bugs. The family of 3 are brick pavers.

I have 2 special little boys in my garden. One of them can be found taking his bear pals for a ride. The other little guy loves to fish in my pond :-)

I am always looking for different things to plant in. I got this light fixture at yard sale and thought it would look good planted with begonias. sometimes I use silk flowers to fill in pots until the real ones bloom :-) These are 3 planters I made from kids overalls.

When we replaced the shutters on the house I hated to part with my old shutters. So they found new homes! Some I used to make a table for my deck and in the winter it makes a great indoor plant table!

I made the mosaic butterfly & hummingbird mural under the window as a garden bench but too many sharp pieces of glass made sitting a little tricky :-) When the sun shines on the glass it is very pretty.

Many times while shopping I see things that can be made into wonderful garden art. Take these trivets from the Dollar store for instance. I had them welded together to make a trellis. Turn out very nice!

I had been looking for something other than plants to hang from this planter in my front yard. These swinging kids were just the thing :-)

Nothing is safe from me:-) even the washing machine agitators became garden planters!

One of my latest ideas involves using old windows and old picture frames. Here are 2 of the projects. I also painted an old saw blade, attached colored beads and put it on a wooden stand:-)

My favorite find has to be these hard plastic tops that were once the tops on a juice stand. These were on their way to the dump when I rescued them:-) Each little house is made with 5 tops and each one is decorated and painted to look like doll houses. They are getting a new face lift this spring and a new sub division to live in:-)

That is the end of my garden creations for this year. Who knows what new treasures will be found in my garden next!
