Memories of Christmas
I do have to say, that all of my memories of Christmas' passed, have been very happy ones.... Though... the one that sticks out in my mind right now, is of a time, many, many moons ago... when my sisters and I weren't behaving too well.. hehehehe....

Mom and Dad had gone out and bought each of us brand new bicycles that year... (took Dad forever to put them together.. *giggles*)  Apparently, my sisters and I weren't just bad.. we were incorrigible.. *L*

Anyhow.. on December 23rd, my mother devised a plan... (mind you, my sisters and I were young enough not to know the actual date.. hehehe.. ) My mom convinced us it was Christmas eve... and like so many other good little girls and boys, went to bed without much fuss.. *LOL* well.... much to our surprise, the next morning (5 am.. hehehe) when we got up... there weren't any presents from Santa Claus under the tree... and in our stockings was..... COAL!!! *fear* Santa had left us a note too... telling us, that we were so bad, that we weren't going to get any presents from him this year... BUT... since he was in the 'giving' mood... hehehehe.. he would give us one chance to prove that we deserved presents from him... If, (and what a big IF.. hehehe) we could be good ALL day long, Santa would return that evening with something for us... but we had to be perfect... (talk about pressure.. *giggles*)

Anyhow, I don't think my mother could have asked for more perfect children on that day... we were nearly angelic.. *LMAO*  Anyhow... due to the excitement of a possible return of Santa, we all went to bed.. VERY EARLY.. *LOL* and the next morning... (the real Christmas morning.. *L*) as my sisters and I ventured downstairs, very cautiously, and at a decent time.. (6 am) *LOL* much to our surprise, Santa had kept his word... there, underneath the tree, among a bunch of other presents, were brand spanking new bicycles for each of us.. *BMAS*
And then, of course, there is the year that Rudolf lost one of his bells.. happened to leave it on the small roof right outside our bedroom window.. *giggles*  Every year after that, we would always make sure to throw some carrots out on that roof for the reindeer.. just in case Santa didn't have room in his pockets when he stopped by.. *giggles*

Then, there is the year that Santa actually stopped by Christmas eve.. hehehe.. talk about some very excited little girls.. *giggles* of course, my mother, being the wonderful person that she is.. dressed us all up exactly the same!!!! UGH!!!! (she did that at Halloween too... guess it was easier that way.. *L*)
This will be my very first Christmas that I have not been able to spend with my family... *sigh* gonna be a tough one.. But.. there's always the internet and the phone.. (guess I should call them at 5am.. hehehehe)

Anyhow, I hope you have enjoyed my memories.. *L* If I remember more of them, I will jot them down... so keep checking back.. *S*

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for many years to come... Bless you all.. *S*
