  GENERAL INFORMATION

The NeuroLab project... a quest begun almost ten years ago, after studying the neural physiology and some AI theory and not finding any model that combined the two. So, this project started with the creation of an artificial model for the real, live neuron and then procedeed with aggregating these entities into artificial neural networks (ANNs), in aa attempt to replicate natural neurological structures and functions and go from there on, building scripted applications that would be used from, say, simulating the effects of various compounds on neuron functions to conceiving AI engines for computer games.
  CURRENT STATUS

This one man project produced the NeuroLab v2.0 alpha 1 application. For now, the development is sort of stalling, due to various reasons (amongst which my lack of spare time, but above all, due to the lack of people of various areas of specialty joining the project - mathematicians, neuro-physiologist, programmers etc.), but it still goes on, as slowly as it does.
NeuroLab v2.0 alpha 1 (nlv20a1) is the core of this project's accomplishments, so I'll only be referring to this application. A (very) short description of the program can be found
HERE.
SCREENSHOTS

Some aspects of the NeuroLab application  running are illustrated in the below screenshots. Please make sure you read the text on the images, so that you can get an idea on what NeuroLab is, how it works and what are the results.
A 5400 neurons and over 150,000 connections ANN at work.
A simple ANN functioning. Connections shown.
